This is what we call a tuna salad?! HA
Elizabeth E.

Bitter pizza sauce, seems like just smeared on tomato paste. I'm from Chicago and I know pizza, and this my friend is absolute trash! And I got the sorriest little scoop of tuna on my tuna salad that was mostly chopped up iceberg lettuce. My first and last time ordering from here.

The most amazing thing about this place is definitely their food. I enjoy take outs the most. Dine in experience can be improved. They can be short staffed and slow to serve. Trust them to make the best pizzas and pastas for you.

This was my first time stopping in to eat here but I've passed it several times. My husband had a taste for a Philly cheesesteak and we were waiting for our soon to finish up track practice and decided to stop in. I'm not a big fan of restaurants within gas stations, only a couple of them I really like. But we decided to give it try. There were a couple of people waiting to pick up their orders and just us to dine in, so it wasn't busy. I ordered the chicken philly, hubby had the Philly cheesesteak and our youngest had a personal pizza. We got there in time for their lunch special, which the 6' subs come with fries, side salad or chips and drink for $8. The personal pizza (Up to any 2 toppings) just comes with the drink for $8. I opted for the side salad which came before my sub and it was the basic salad but it was good. The personal pizza was huge for one person, I was thinking a mini pizza but it was a nice size. The store is clean, bathrooms are between the restaurant and gas station and the food is cooked fresh to order. Overall, the food was good and the employees were friendly.

Meat lovers pizza and garlic knots

I have to say, the pizza was pretty good! I do wish the crust was a little crisper. I like some crunch on my think crust pizzas. I decided to give this place a try because I wanted to try someplace local other than dominos or papa John's. Definitely a tasty pizza! The pizza was loaded (as you can see) and they didn't skimp on the ingredients. The sauce had some nice flavor and the little sprinkle of parmesan on top was perfect. The garlic knots had plenty of flavor and the marinara dipping sauce that came with it complimented them perfectly. They weren't kidding in their description of the garlic knots that they were delicious! Not a bad place to grab a pizza. I can't wait to give their other menu options a try!

Decent pizza, varied menu, a bit difficult to understand on the phone when placing an order. It was ready when they said it would be.

This is one of the two bagel shops that I frequent in the area. They are always very busy but the…read moreline goes by very quickly. Bagels are always fresh and tasty. Only reason I give four stars is the price. It is a little more expensive than some of the other bagels in the area. A bacon egg and cheese cost me over $10 today. It's very good but the price point is a little high.

First, the menu is written on the wall, but it looks like it may have been written years ago because much of it is nearly illegible--as the picture I included shows. When I asked the gentleman taking my order what the menu said and what some of the options were, he seemed almost as unaware as I was. Instead of helping me understand the menu or offering a few popular choices at different price points, he began making higher-priced suggestions that really weren't very helpful. At that point, I finally just asked for an egg and cheese sandwich because I figured that was something simple and safe to try. And I'm glad I did! The egg and cheese was actually very good, and honestly, that is the only reason I didn't give NY Deli a lower rating. The food showed me that there may be a lot of potential here--the ordering experience just needs some serious attention. Please consider rewriting the menu on the wall so customers can actually read it, providing paper menus, making sure staff are familiar with the menu and can offer helpful recommendations, or preferably a combination of all three. Good food shouldn't be this difficult to order. Make the experience as good as the sandwich was, and I'd be much more inclined to come back.

I tried this little place hidden off Capitol Boulevard today because I was craving pastrami…read moresandwich!! I had been running errands and had my PSA with me... I tried to call before going in with her because some restaurants don't have it on their door, but also don't allow inside... their phone went to a recorded message so I figured go in and give it a try, of course they weren't happy about it, but they let me order my sandwich and we're polite and kind to me!! That's very important!! What I liked so far was even though they're busy and small they're friendly. And the young man that worked there was very kind to me!! even brought my dog a water when he brought my sandwich outside to me!! I wish I had a huge tip for him!! Got home, opened up the sandwich and to my surprise, there laid a masterpiece!! I took a bite of my Toasted hot pastrami sandwich, and I was immediately in heaven!!!' The flavors were bursting and melting in my mouth!! The perfect amount of everything put together by an artist!! Well done chef!! Well done owner!! Well done Staff!! My first time at the lunchbox definitely ensuring it will not be my last time because I have not found a more pleasing flavorful pastrami and Raleigh. I enjoyed it so much and it was so filling I could only eat half of it.!! Don't get me started on their selection of chips!! Kettle chips are my favorite and they had jalapeño queso. Nobody carries those.!! Thank you so much. Perfect blend with that beautiful sandwich.

Oh my deli-shhhh-utttt yoooo mouth delicious! Have been seeing this place pop up on some recent…read moretrips and been wanting to try. They do close at 3:00 p.m. so make sure you make it before then. Not only did everything on the menu sound delicious but the pricing was very reasonable. Went and decided on a sandwich which was the turkey basil. Having that in mind I pulled up and the line was starting to gather out the door. Now I did see people moving pretty quickly out so I figured the flow was something that they had down. I only had to wait about five minutes although there was quite a few people in front of me to place my order. Everybody in the restaurant and store was very polite, respectful, generous to other people spacing, and kind. There's some side tables for seating and everyone was so nice in there that even if you weren't in the same party if you wanted to sit at the same table it was no problem sitting at the same table when everyone seemed to ask each other if it was okay. Anyhow I started off wanting the turkey basil sandwich when I was told by others that the Caesar salad is really good too so I put that on to the order and opted to add Grilled Chicken on for an extra $3.75. They had different sizes of salads to choose from. I then saw that they had a soup of the day, which really happened to be for Soups of the day that you could choose from they had small medium and large. I went with the turkey pot pie. I then saw and couldn't stop thinking of the philliest sandwich that they had listed so I got that to go and then noticed a creamy pasta salad that they had so you know I had to try that too. Each of the sandwiches came with a pickle and a bag of chips of choice. They had so many different brands and flavors of chips. They also have bottled sodas and different beverages you could purchase. Did I forget to mention that they have some baked goods? I sure did but let me not fail to mention those either! They had Cookies,Rice Krispie treats, and some other items to choose from. So let me go on to telling you about the foods.. the philly-ish cheese steak was banging! I gobbled up one of the halves of the sandwiches in less than 1 minute. I love that they had the onion lettuce tomato on there and the meat wasn't dry. Next up was the tomato basil sandwich on focaccia bread, the meat was so stacked it's about an inch thick of the meat itself so flavorful the aioli was delicious and you could really taste the greens and other flavors pop in your mouth. The pickles with both of those were crispy and tasted good. On to the turkey pot pie, tasted just like the pot pie without all that breading but they do give you crackers if you want to put that in your soup. Now the creamy pasta salad that's what they call the pasta salad there is another pasta salad you can get there but that's another type of pasta salad that's listed. I usually don't like creamy things that look too Mayonaiseeyy but this pasta salad might be some of the best pasta salad I've had in years! The Caesar salad romaine lettuce was all crispy and fresh all bright green loaded recruitons cheese and they gave two portion size of dressings which was really nice it wasn't the package kind of dressing either it looked like a homemade kind in the little cups. The chicken was juicy and I was delighted by the outcome of that salad. This place gets a 5 out of five for everything that I tasted!
