Picked up an online order at about 1:30 in the afternoon, so I expected food to be relatively fresh. The sub was pretty sad. Very hard bread and not a single onion in sight when Mike's way was requested. I ate half because I was hungry and then called the store to request a refund. Instead of being courteous and accommodating, she tried to suggest that I bought the sandwich elsewhere. She finally relented and told me to bring it back for a new sandwich or a refund. So she literally wanted me to get back in the car and drive to the restaurant rather than just refund the order online. Whatever happened to good customer service? I won't be back. read more

Nice people but she tried to take orders from four people in line and commit to memory. She didn't get them correct. Ordered a 13 and got an 8. Scraps of old lunch meat were in the case with the wrapped blocks of meat and cheese, all over the slicer, and the counter. They placed the assembled sandwiches on the cutting board to add toppings but then moved finished sandwiches to an uncovered countertop by the register to then be place on paper, cut and wrapped. As we are placing our order, I catch something scurrying up the wall in the prep area. It was a HUGE ROACH! I asked the employee if they had a roach problem and pointed to the wall. He looked at it and proceeded to walk away from me without a word!!! He just left me standing there! So, I decided to take a picture of the roach while I was standing there alone, post it here on Yelp, and drove away to ChickFilA for a roach-free sandwich on 2 fresh buns. I'm a huge fan of Jersey Mike's subs and this location is definitely top notch. The super friendly staff always pile on the lettuce and pickles so that you end up with a super delish sandwich. As is the norm of all Jersey Mike's, the meats and cheese are sliced fresh to order. The crusty french bread with the soft interior is made fresh daily. There is a variety of chips and cookies to accompany your order as well as fountain drinks. This location clean and convenient and the staff are very efficient. I've always had a great experience. No wifi, though. Bummer. But, they always have some sort of offer to help charities and that just makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside! read more

We decided to order lunch out which is a rare treat for us these days. It was lunch time and they were fairly busy so we had to wait. It's not a big place. There were customers without masks but I was relieved to see the staff all wearing masks, until a young woman entered for her shift while we were waiting. She had a mask on below her mouth. Of course she's the one who then rang us up. When I asked her if she was required to wear a mask she put it over her mouth leaving her nose out. This does not help to protect me as a customer. It's also tight in there with only one door for entering or exiting so people passing close nearby where you have to wait in line. I probably won't be back. read more

This is one of my go to spots for a sub on Timber dr in Garner. I have a new one that opened up closer to my house on Carbela dr in Garner. And I have to admit I did give them a try twice and both times they disappointed. The first time the called in order was never made and to make matters worse none of the employees knew the phone # so guess what I called them from inside the store the phone rang they answered and I gave them their number. So tonight I went back to my Fail-Safe on Timber drive in Garner I ordered two 12in subs on white to go, one Philly cheesesteak with peppers onions and mushrooms with mayo lettuce and tomato and the other cheese steak with lettuce tomato and mayo only. I see the lettuce, tomato and Mayo only had peppers and onions on it with no lettuce or tomato and the other had lettuce tomato mayo and steak where is the onions and peppers mushrooms and cheese !!!!!!! We are totally disappointed !!!!!! I even left them with a tip. But I'm going to chalk it up to saying that everybody has an off night and tonight must have been theirs. Been a while since I've been to this location and though the customer service was excellent by some guy with a warm personality. I ordered a philly cheese steak, one of my favorites from Jersey Mikes. Waited for my food only to have my name called and while I greeted the young lady with a smile she didn't look too happy like I bothered her by ordering a hot sub. Got home and the sub was literally thrown together. I had to warm up the sandwich in the oven to take the soggy-ness away. Meat was in chunks and not chopped up like the other Jersey Mikes does. A very nice and clean establishment and as current local customer this evening I was extremely disappointed with the quality of my special request sandwich as I have previously purchased many times before. I love jersey mikes, but had to share this review: I just stopped by and bought $28 worth of subs for My family. The girl (brown curly hair) making my sub was clearly ANGRY that she was making a sandwich for us. At one point, she dumped oil on the sandwich and held it for at least 5 seconds. I normally would have asked to have someone else remake it, but was absolutely floored that she was doing that, so just said, "seriously??" To which she exchanged looks with another girl and laughed, then did the same thing with vinegar and oregano. The only thing that would make me feel better was writing this review. She was very rude, disrespectful, and they should not hire people who are averse to customer service for that position. It was a very weird exchange. read more
