We live on a farm with feral cats (we TNR them) and possums and voles and mice and coyotes and the occasional fox, so we are used to critters and pretty much happy to coexist, but one evening we heard a lot of scratching in our attic above the kitchen. I used the handle of a broom to scare it away - I heard it running across my kitchen ceiling toward the front of my house - and the next day I called a pest removal company (not Suburban Wildlife Control) that was recommended in our local FB group. Their guy came out right away, but told me my only option was a poison trap. I was not sure if the animal in the attic was one of the ferals, so I did not want to kill it. He told me he couldn't help me if I wanted it removed alive. We didn't hear any more noise for several months, so I thought maybe my broom handle banging had scared it enough to leave for good. Then one day the scratching came back. I used the broom handle again and heard the animal run across the ceiling to get away, but this time there was shrieking coming from the area of the scratching in the corner, so it was clear there was a nest with at least one baby. I saw Brad recommended on someone else's post in said FB group, so I called him and he came out the same day. He climbed on the roof and told me it was very clearly raccoons based on the scat on the roof and they had been here a while, even ripped a big hole in our eaves to get in and out. He said he could trap them and release them in in a wildlife reserve, but it would take some time. Rates were around ~$200 to set up traps, then ~$100 per animal caught and taken. It ended up we had a dad, mom, and 3 babies, plus another younger male living in our attic. After several weeks of trapping, we called a construction company to repair and replace the eaves that had been destroyed. It was a lot of money out of pocket, but worth every penny in my opinion. For perspective, I work for an electrical contractor and we charge $200 just to roll a truck. Brad was out to my house at least 6 times, climbing on my roof, resetting traps, in short doing a job I am unable and unwilling to do. I am also paying for his knowledge and experience. I would highly recommend him and will definitely call him for any similar situations in the future. read more

He had another service call in our area so he arrived to our house within an hour, which was fantastic. We had a live opossum which had dragged a dead rabbit under our stairs which had limited space for retrieval. Brad was able to live catch the opossum and remove the dead rabbit quickly and humanely. Is there a service fee? Yes. Was it the best money I ever spent getting the dead animal smell away from the house? Yes. Brad was friendly and professional. Suburban Wildlife Control was highly recommended to me after asking neighbors-- we had what I thought was a skunk that had sprayed. Called the service and they called back within 20 minutes. Brad wasn't able to come out the same day, but assured me he would come out the next day and that waiting one day with the skunk situation would not make a difference. Brad arrived during the time window he had given me and proceeded to look around the back of the house for signs of skunk activity. Within 10 minutes, he determined that we, unfortunately, had a dead skunk under the deck. He said his nose knew the difference between a live skunk that had sprayed and a dead skunk-- and he was right! He was able to pinpoint where the skunk was, pull up one deck board and retrieve the skunk, who was, indeed, dead. Brad was incredibly professional, unbelievably knowledgable and very patient-- he answered all of my questions about this stinky episode. I was encouraged by the positive reviews of Brad from the Suburban Wildlife Control, so I hired him to investigate a possible critter problem in the attic of my house. When Brad showed up he explained that he was going to look around the perimeter of the house for possible animal entry. Then he asked if he could pull the ladder from inside the garage to look in the attic. He left his truck running, took a one-minute walk around the house, pulled the attic ladder down and told me it was mice. I said I understood that was a possibility, but we live in the country and do have mice in the garage. I told him I was hearing noises over my bedroom on the far side of the house. He said, "It's mice, I've been doing this for 30 years, and I know what I am doing." I asked, if it were possible for an animal to crawl down through the chimney. He said "no, there were no entry points visible from the outside ground level of the house." I said," I understand you've been doing this for 30 years; however, I'm paying you $165 for a service to go into the attic and examine the area over my bedroom. It is not acceptable to make a diagnosis after a 1-minute walk around the house, see mouse droppings on the garage ladder leading up to the attic, and tell me it's mice. " Brad, the man doing the inspection, said he was the business owner. I would not expect such unprofessional conduct from a business owner. He started arguing with me, and I asked him to leave a dozen times. He would not, so I had to threaten to call the police, for him to finally leave. misdiagnosis, lack of follow up, doesn't return calls. you get what you pay for. it's a pain to hire pest removal. think about that. if your service doesn't get it right the first time, it's a lot of time on your side to find and rehire. read more
