Friendly people--diverse menu and super cute environment. My Dr. Pepper "the one" was delicious!

In fact, this review is taking me forever to write because I'm tearing UP some ceviche that I just got there. Nom, nom, nom. Generous portion, fresh, delicious. And washing it down with a Mad Housewife chardonnay that I picked up from the cooler while Edgar chopped up my fish and bits. The family that owns it works there and are super friendly and dog lovers - bonus! My dog actually pulls toward the door when we walk by. It's now a regular stop for us because she just looks at me with those, "WTF?!" eyes if we just pass it by. Hey White Center! Let's support some true small business owners in the neighborhood as opposed to the invasion of big dollars that's happening - and you KNOW the businesses I'm talking about. Awesome products and tremendous service. You won't be disappointed.

One thing I will say off the top is this place is huge. You can easily get lost here. There were tasting stations to try different drinks and walls and walls of bottles. At one point I just stood in front of the Champaign section tempted to just raise my hand like I was on school because I was just so...lost. A man walking by with a walkie talkie greeted me and asked if I was doing ok. I didn't know what else to do so I showed him a picture of what I was looking for. He immediately said "oh..the (name of nice Champaign)". He grabbed an employee and told that employee where it was. The nice stuff is behind locked glass up front. Super awesome. Just knew. Customer service was great. Everything was great. Very very friendly. Solid 5 stars for me. I'll be back if I'm in need of some nice bubbly.

After being treated in a nasty blatantly disparate manner I told the manager. He clearly didnt take me seriously as this racist was still working the next time I visited. This is ridiculous and needs to be addressed. I could expound for 3 paragraphs about what transpired. For one ill mention that you never use the same glass for tasting different wines. He did that to me while getting the white people whom looked very discheveled might I add a new cup each time. Just one of the racist things that happened. A different sort of BIPOC person may have reacted violently to being blatantly mistreated. This old dude needs to find his way to the unemployment line. I wish to be contacted by corporate asap. I will be seeking any and all remedies available to address this very serious situation.

The…read moreambiance here is intimate and the music isn't too loud which is great while sipping some beers. There are several beers and some ciders on tap from all around and all the ipa's I've tried here have been pretty decent. from there you grab your brew and have a seat at high top tables within the tap room. Again, the setting is mid-sized good for a couple groups of four and a few two person tables. Music is at a decent volume and is lit dimly making it decent for a date spot or just a place to have conversation without raised voices. Fridges line the tap room so you can mix and match beers, ciders and wines to take out which is cool. I like Bottleworks, I want to enjoy it more, but there are some issues holding me to 3 stars. The staff are...alright. Not bad, but I feel could be a little friendlier. Also they don't allow sample pours? This is a common thing at most breweries, but maybe it's because this is a tap room, but beers run a bit higher here - $8-9 a pour so that's annoying that you can't even try a couple. Lastly, they rotate things out it seems weekly. Some of the more popular options I suppose they keep but seems like a lot of turn around on the drinks so if you like something they have on tap, don't get too attached. Perhaps on subsequent visits It will improve, and I can boost the score here, but besides the decent beers and setting, it's just OK here.
