I like this chain and it's a fun place to find international beverages, candy and snacks. They have cool and funny greeting cards. My friend found a light-up 3D shark one for Valentine's that she purchased for her daughter but it was $12. Note: Ways maps gave horrible directions and so did Apple maps - they both send you to the parking lot of JC Penney's - so use Google maps to find the store which has an outside entrance in the Kitsap Mall, next door to Penney's and between them and Dick's. read more

World Market is definitely as good as it gets here in Silverdale! Besides the great selection and great prices, you don't have to enter through the Kitsap Mall to get inside! Yeah, you have to battle the parking and other mall dwellers outside Barnes & Noble but that's tolerable! The staff is also as good as it gets here in Silverdale! They are always smiling, happy to see customers and helpful in any way they can be. They're pretty knowledgeable about their products as well, making it easier to make decisions. My favorite areas of the store are the seasonal items, which are unique and found nowhere else, and the food/spices from all over the world! The prices are already low and then when they put them on sale or clearance you almost feel like you're stealing it! The selection is endless and ever changing in all areas of the store so be prepared to browse! I usually go in for one or two things and end up stuck in the kitchen wares area for quite awhile. And now that fall is here, check out all the interesting scarves, the colors and textures are amazing! When I set out on my own decades ago and had to get stuff for my apartment and kitchen, the place to go was Pirate's Plunder for cheapo imports that had some degree of aesthetic worth. In Silverdale the equivalent would be the World Market, attached to the mall. It's a huge store (despite being smaller than World Markets in other cities), jam-packed with everything a young person needs to get started on their own -- from relaxing chairs and dining tables and flower pots to water glasses and tea sets or coffee cups, gazillions of other things, most everything an import. It also has an offbeat grocery section wherein foodies might enjoy shopping, including imported beers and wines galore. Good-sized pet section. Cheesy mass-produced artwork. It's all very corporate but one of their corporate decisions was to provide good customer service. That sets it apart right there. That said, I rarely have reason to stop in. When I do visit, I look mainly at the groceries, and always find something fun. But I've already got a lifetime accumulation of household gimcrackery and don't need much in the way of "stuff." read more

Wow. A recent trip to World Market in Silverdale reminded me why I A: Avoid malls at all costs, and B: Don't carry any weapons in my car Seriously - what a cluster-function. However it's hard for me to give this World Market too poor of a rating just for being a part of the cesspool that is the Silverdale mall parking lot. So that aside, I have to score an A-OK for this corporate bastion of international trade. They have great deals on imported wines, cheap furniture that's likely made out of clear-cut rainforest and of course all sorts of home decorations. On this trip, I needed a wooden porch table and I scored just exactly what I was looking for on the cheap. What made this a good World Market was the service. It was above average for a WM. So despite the obnoxious parking situation (that has mostly to do with the people at Silverdale Mall and the design itself), I can offer a nice solid 3 stars. read more

I always enjoy shopping here, but tonight I was inspired to write a review because the customer service was top-notch! One of the employees (Ed) saw me eyeing the advent calendars. He asked if I was signed up for text alerts. When I told him I wasn't sure, he came over and walked me through how to sign up, and then showed me a coupon for a free advent calendar as well as a 15% off coupon for the rest of the stuff I was buying! I was so appreciative, he could've said nothing and I never would have been the wiser; but he took the time to come over and help me and save me a few bucks. Great job, Cost Plus! read more

While I try my best to avoid the headache that is the Silverdale mall, the lack of a decent wine store in Kitsap has me stopping in here from time to time. My tastes in wine are slighty better than what I can get at Safeway and this place provides me just the right outlet at times. Decent wine selection organized by type and region. Good deals on wine and some other booze such as my ocassional desire for Sake. I think they sell other stuff in here as well. I don't know. It's pretty much just wine for me. read more

I have always love World Market, so I was very happy when i moved here that there was one nearby. The wine selection is great and they have tons of unique beers. The kitchen gadgets and glassware has an obscene amount of variety. Lots of housewares, candles, and furniture. I have really loved the wooden furniture I've gotten from Cost Plus World Market, however I am very disappointed in the two upholstered chairs I purchased a year ago. First one of the chairs was damaged when it came out of the box. The damage was underneath so we didn't think it was worth, disabling it, hauling it back to the store and exchanging it. Now the stuffing in the arms and pillows have gone flat making the chairs look old and worn out. read more

I usually really like coming here. Sometimes I'm very confused about their buyer's taste though. I like to be inspired in home decor, but, yeah. Wow. Their food section is grand. If you're looking for international snacks, overpriced but attractive furniture, kitchen and other home goods, faux-ethnic knickknacks, and/or gifts for people, this is the place to go. The fella and I have been here several times since moving into our new house for some armchairs (only purchased because they were almost half off), a side table and a lamp and have been pleased with our purchases. This is also my go-to place for stocking stuffers around Christmastime. I could go buck wild in here for everything if it weren't for the fact I need to exchange money for these items... I want everything, and many things are a bit overpriced here. I finally created a login to my rewards card - which is free - and realized I've missed out on a bunch of coupons and vouchers for money spent there, so having the card can help. The customer service is hit or miss though I must give mad props to the gentleman who runs the furniture department as he's gone above and beyond to assist a couple times. This is one of those stores I feel guilty shopping in because they sell real animal rugs on their website (poor springboks!) and most things are likely made in China, buuuut I always find something I like when I wander through. read more

Love this place. From the coffee to the furniture... CPWM was a go-to for obscure world foodstuffs, alcohol and other items I couldn't get anywhere else. Prices were amazingly affordable given the far-flung homes some of their inventory hailed from. Pros: Unique inventory, high-quality selection of food and drink, great housewares and kitchen items. World candies, coffee, soft drinks, baked goods and wine are highlights. Cons: Sometimes indifferent workers on the floor (including sometimes the manager)... items not in stock very long if they're popular... not all items are a good value... checkout can be painfully slow Conclusion: when stores are homogenizing the look and feel of (or trimming overhead in obtaining) unique and obscure items for your home, CPWM has something for you. Just be prepared to wait a while if there's more than three people in line. read more

I was in the area visiting a friend and we decided to visit the mall and I needed a gift for my sister and so we came into the World Market. I'd never really been into one before. I was surprised to find the store was chaos everything was mixed everywhere. Prices weren't labeled very well (all the items were labeled but not necessarily in places where they are easily read because of how things were arranged in the store) and it seemed everything was really more expensive than it should have been. It wasn't the best experience. It also didn't help I wasn't sure what to get my sister but I was helped by the most amazing employee named Joni she was my saving grace that day, she helped me find something for my sister and got me on my way before I had a breakdown she was amazingly awesome. She really is the only reason I would ever come back to the store to shop again. read more

The greatest thing about World Market is every time I go in there I want to buy lots and lots of furniture and wine. It's like every woman's Paradise at least every woman like me. My favorite thing is Furniture a wine and a little European treats. The staff there is wonderful if they're not knowledgeable they're more than willing to run around and find a staff member who can help you out better. They're very friendly and talkative they always make you feel welcome. I especially like this store for the Silverdale area you don't always find the greatest customer service and I feel like this store is amazing at customer service. I really have to go in there and look for different sake. You can usually find some sort of clearance or sale they have great deals I'm so glad that there was a World Market when we moved here anytime I'm not getting what I need for my shopping fix from TJ Maxx or Ross I like to go to Cost Plus. read more
