ALWAYS messy here - doesn't matter time of day or year
    Dave E.

While it's certainly nice to have a Dollar Tree right here in Port Orchard, it sure would be nice if they started to take some pride in it. Every time we go in - and I mean EVERY time, it's just a mess. I honestly think they lock up every night and open every morning without any regard to the state of the merchandise. Isle after isle it's just a complete mess - merchandise scattered around the floor, piled on the wrong shelf with unrelated items, and complete shelves knocked down. The front entry mat is absolutely filthy - clearly has never been vacuumed. If I were manager, I'd frankly feel embarrassed to call this "my store". Day one, I'd task people to fix this rampant problem this one store seems to have in spades, over any other Dollar Tree in the region - at least that I've seen. But on the positive side, the checkers and staff are always very friendly and nice. That brings them back up "one star" - but as far as cleanliness and order, this store is in very bad shape and needs serious work on the merchandising and management side of things.

I noticed the prices were very good on her posts so I decided to take a look at her website. I saw nothing but good reviews so I decoded to reach out to get a consultation. After being super indecisive I ended up giving Molly a call and she was super helpful and knowledgeable. She worked with me on picking the perfect stone , choosing a nice setting and designed it start to finish. The turnaround time was very fast and she gave me updates quite frequently throughout the whole process. She video chatted me with the actual diamond and sent me preliminary CAD drawings. She even gave me suggestions and ideas about making a proposal. I ended up choosing my lady's favorite restaurant and tried to make a reservation which didn't go as planned. The lady at the restaurant blew me off the phone. I told Molly what happened and she called the restaurant and got the manager on the phone. She literally set the reservation for me and had the manager reach out to me. I didn't expect her to go out of her way to do that for me but she was legitimately concerned about this being perfect. I was able to coordinate my proposal with the restaurant manager and it was AMAZING thanks to her. The ring came out sooooo nice I will have to post a picture of it when I get a chance. I had to delete all the ones I had because I didn't want her snooping through my phone and spoil it all lol. If you're looking for an honest and reputable jeweler then go with EB. I took a chance and it paid off and she has a customer for life. Thank you for getting me the best quality ring I've seen for the price by far and even better customer service. I will be back soon!

Today was horrible because of ONE RUDE and MEAN employee and I will never go back as long as she is there. I had my puppy with me, which the cashiers love and are playfully upset if I don't bring him in, but today the lady in the mask ( still wears her covid mask? ) demanded rather rudely, as soon as I walked in the door if my puppy was a service dog. Um FIRST, that is against the law to ask about my disability regarding the dog, mean masked lady, he is my emotional support. Second, she could have addressed HER concerns much more appropriately. Sorry GO. You lost a long time customer because of her rudeness. Sorry to the other lovely cashiers who are so sweet.

The person who was supposed to help me, told me I would have to wait because she didn't want her customer to be kept waiting, no one had started ringing this customer up yet. Original checker thanked and apologized to her customers, for having been kept waiting (because of me) Never once was I thanked or was there an apology made that THEIR item error kept me waiting. I was questioned about my service dog shortly after entering the store despite my dog displaying exemplary behavior The Bremerton location has provided a much more pleasant experience on numerous occasions. I hope this location can do better. Some people are on EBT as a result of being the victim of a crime; being judged is very unhelpful and doesn't feel like community.

They continue to bring in stock on "essential items" (the beer I like - Miller 64 - the only store that stocks it around here - and meat sticks LOL!) The young tall Asian owner guy keeps a smile going behind his n95 mask, as does the delightful Scottish gal with whom I've yakked a zillion times but never learned her name. They are SO nice and friendly and I hope things keep going for them. It's mostly a "beverage store" but in these times, it's easy to "socially distance" and they remain as friendly as ever. Don't be afraid to buy from them during these times - they wear their masks, and have a plexi screen in place at the checkout. Dave

In fact, he drives about 10 minutes past our house to give him business as we like to support our local stores. This morning, hubby bought 4 Monster drinks, has his usual pleasant exchange with the owner, then went back to the car to have one of the drinks explode. He went back into the store to let the owner know and ask to have it replaced. The manager immediately accused him of doing something to the product instead of replacing it in good faith or even telling him that they don't replace items. Naturally, this didn't settle well with my husband, who was going to simply buy a replacement and not go back in again. The owner was going to grudgingly give him the replacement, but his attitude was so irksome that he told the owner he wasn't going to be back again. At that point, the owner demanded that he hand the drink to him and refused to let him have it afterall, telling him he could have the one that burst. When he got back to the car, a second drink burst. It makes no good business sense to accuse a customer of damaging something intentionally to get a "free" one. What does he gain from doing that? It's not like he can consume a can of drink that's burst. Replacing defective product is the customary way that businesses show good faith to their customers, that we can trust them and continue to do business with them. We won't be giving him business any longer, and neither will our family. And you can bet that as with any other customer treated in this manner, we'll be telling this story to others. Do better. Don't be insulting on top of cheap. If you just had a bad day, everyone has them. Just apologize.

Anyway this 5-star rating is for the butcher who not only was extremely friendly and helpful but gave me some info I'd never heard or read elsewhere. All we remember was that he was tall, had blondish-brown hair and wore glasses. I usually smoke my own beef jerky using sliced top round 'London Broil", and I smoke my own bacon from sliced pork belly. This wonderful butcher told me that he knows folks who not only make smoked beef jerky from brisket but make bacon from the point or the round. Ironically, he didn't own a smoker so he at times he confused the two parts of a beef brisket (and confused me as well). But it was all knowledge I didn't have before and it also gave me summer project to schedule. He also asked me to come back and tell him how the bacon turned out after it's done. Darn but I wish I'd have asked him his name. But the most important thing was that he handed me a gorgeous brisket flat at the weight I'd requested. Anyway, great customer service with added value always rates five stars with me. We may not shop that Safeway again for awhile but I will be going back to the meat department to find that butcher and give him a sample of my handiwork. And yes, I'll buy more meat from him. He's an example of what I've always maintained: make friends with a butcher in the meat department. You'll always get service above and beyond because in the end, it motivates you to buy more meat. I've amended this to also include making friends with a produce manager or clerk, and become really good chums with at least one cashier. Because I've made a point of the latter, checkout time is party time for my wife and I and our favorite cashiers. And that actually makes grocery shopping fun.
