When I opened the back of my SUV to put my groceries inside, the gallon can of paint that my hubby had just picked up rolled out, sprang open, and dumped about 1/2 gallon of bright blue paint onto the parking lot in front of the store. While I was almost in tears seeing the mess and the damage done to my favorite shoes and black pants, several TJ folks came out to help us in any way they could. I don't know how they will be able to get the parking lot back to normal, but the way they handled the situation was beyond excellent! They even handed me a bouquet of flowers as we left. Thank you, Trader Joe's staff! I was a loyal customer before, but now my hubby was witness to how great you guys are too. Bravo!

I don't know what it is with this store, but the shoppers are terribly mindless. Whilst I am aware that people get hyper focused when shopping; these people take it too far. Every time I shop, and I mean EVERY time, people are excessively mindless. They walk right into me, or cut me off, without keeping their heads up and eyes aware that other people are shopping. I often have to have full 2 minute conversations with shoppers about their behavior as if they are children. All of the parking stalls in the lot are also compact stalls and are not marked as compact. Sometimes I will avoid the store altogether because of their unusually narrow stalls, as I drive a large van. I don't know why the clientele here are so inept when it comes to others. It's very dissuading, not just to shop, but to see society slumping in this fashion. Is it just Silverdale? If I try another Trader Joes in another demographic, I'll report back. Odd experience altogether each time.

I like it. It's easy and convenient place to shop for your local veggies, fruit, other essentials needs. They do have a bulletin board somewhere in their store. Where you can put advice on what stuff should they carry. So feel feel to write down what you want them to have. :)

The problem was that the bags were right behind an incorrect sign on the refrigeration case. I hadn't bought Kaffir lime leaves in years, the last time they were packaged dried in the bag. And in a move to save the jar I quickly moved my basket under the falling jar to catch it to stop it from breaking in the floor. Unfortunately, the quick motion of my basket caused a bottle of banana ketchup to be knocked off a lower shelf and break in the floor. Upon, checkout I was made to pay for the bottle that broke. Okay, I get it you're a small business and every penny counts, and I average over $100 of my grocery budget there every month. But from a customer service standpoint to make me pay for accidentally knocking a bottle to the floor? Sure you saved $2.69. But once again from a customer service pov, did you save $2.69 OR did you LOSE over $1200 a year in patronage, because I'm never coming back. There's other Asian groceries in the area that I can get all the same things I get at your store.
