NEVER GO TO WALGREENS on kitsap and National!! Discrimination 101. My daughter went into this Walgreens to get nails for a dance and had the cops called on her. After she paid and left, a cop came up to her outside while she was walking to her car. Rhiannon, Glenda. and Meg (Walgreens employees) called the cops on her while she was innocently shopping in the store, and told her she was banned from this store. They said she cane in 2 weeks ago "with her boyfriend", my daughter, (she's gay) doesn't have a boyfriend. He supposedly caused havoc and damages to the store. She has never e experienced anything like this before and came home sobbing. Apparently some employee just saw her blue hair and nothing else, and banned her immediately. When my older daughter and I went to the store to ask for proof, they refused, and called the police. We waited quietly while the the employees Rhiannon, Glenda, and Meg talked shit about us like we were hysterical or something. The police called back and told Rhiannan to look at the tapes, which she didn't. She then lied to the police and told them she had told us to leave, no one ever told us to leave. The officer said well Rhiannon said "you are being violent and causing a scene." I was literally sitting there quietly on the chair at photo and was never asked to leave. Now myself and my children are all banned because they assumed my daughter was some delinquent, just because of her blue hair, we went to ask for proof, and they called the cops on us. This whole thing is ridiculous. Again their names are Rhiannon, Glenda, and Meg. If you are alternative or a minority in any way, avoid this Walgreens unless you want the cops called on you for nothing. I called corporate and she said, and I quote "they were profiling her because she is a teenager with blue hair" and they don't even have proof that the black kid "the apparent boyfriend" who "caused havoc" was the same kid at the store today, and that they profiled him because he was a black youth. If you are not an average looking light skin person, you WILL be profiled in this store especially by the old lady cashier named Glenda, shift manager Rhiannon, and employee Meg. They are catty and will whisper negative things loud enough for you to hear. They get away with this behavior because of bad management. Absolute WORST pharmacy EVER. They messed up my anti depressant prescription two months ago and didn't give me the full 90 day supply. Now theyre not taking responsibility, my insurance wont cover a refill for another MONTH. I will not make it another month. I will CRASH from going off my medication cold turkey. I will KILL MYSELF by the end of the month without this mediation. And they DO NOT CARE. They have made this VERY clear with their flippant attitudes towards my VERY VALID concerns and complaints. They have condemned me to DIE by my OWN HAND and they DO NOT CARE. If this were insulin for a type 1 diabetic I bet they would be doing EVERYTHING to help me - at least I hope they would but I honestly wouldn't be shocked if they didn't and they told that individual they can absolutely wait THIRTY DAYS for their LIFE SAVING insulin. Also they regularly have 4 or 5 people milling around in the back seemingly doing NOTHING. And ONE person at the register with a line down the aisle and 5 cars deep in the drive thru. There are SO many improvements that need to be made here but I know they won't and it's been this way for the last 4 months since I got out of the hospital for, oh right, a SUICIDE ATTEMPT (and Walgreens I REALLY don't want to go back to the godforsaken place!) Its been mistake after effing mistake with no compassion, no accountability, no apologies. There is no making this right at this point. Even if they fix this ONE issue I'm DONE - I will be transferring ALL my prescriptions of a compassionate pharmacy that quite frankly has their crap together. Came here for my mother's prescription that thy said was ready. Told me it wasn't ready and they were taking lunch so I'd have to come back in 45 minutes to an Hour. I want to give a huge shout out to Bryan. He is so amazing, helpful, and kind. I am not joking. He's an angel on this earth. I came in to pick up two cups that I ordered online for Father's Day. He got the box from the back. And opened it for me to see if both of the cups were in there. I was going to leave, but he wanted to open up the boxes to see if the cups were not broken. One was in perfect condition, but the other one was sort of ruined. I was OK with that. But he really wanted me to get my money back because it was slightly ruined. He was really helpful. Reoccurring problems with pharmacy. Most latest...insurance needed to be updated. Tried to submit it on the ap and it did not work. called and was on hold for 1hr with 3 others ahead of me. After 1 hr the Phone started ringing for 3 mins. Since no one answered it hung up. I called back and 2 people were now ahead of me. Hung up and called another department. I politely explained the situation and they cut me off and didn't let me finish speaking. Pharmacy staff was great the rest...not so much.. I had a covid booster scheduled. I arrived shortly before my appointment time got checked in and went to sit in the waiting area. Needing to use the restroom I got up to find it. After locating it I realized that I needed the code to unlock it. I did not notice the sign stating that the mens room was out of order. Down an aisle I go to find an employee to give me the code. After finding one I was informed that she had to unlock it for me. Ok. She and I head back toward the restroom. She stops just before the door and explains that it's out of order and just stands there staring at me. I ask if she can unlock the women's room. She replied "no we don't let people of the wrong gender use the restroom." I was told to go to Starbucks. I explained that I am waiting for a vaccine and shouldn't leave the building in case my name was called. Again I got denied. I'm not an unreasonable person, I could understand if it were not a single occupancy restroom or, I had merchandise that it appeared I was try to steal or, weren't in there to do business with them. This is a good store. I've never had to wait in a line and the service has always been professional and nice. They do have a weird policy that they card everyone present if alcohol is being purchased which is clearly problematic for things like purchasing a bottle of wine on your way home from work when your kids are with you. Kitsap Way Bremerton Washington location is one of the worst anymore. There was a time when your prescriptions would be ready and waiting but in the last few years everything's gone downhill there. Even my blood pressure medicine's haven't been filled and it's been 2 days now. Another of my medications won't be ready until Monday, or they won't have it in stock so they say until Monday with no backup protocols in place. It's pathetic and unacceptable anymore. You have people working in the pharmacy that have no idea what the hell they're doing, billing wrong insurance and inflating the price. I would suggest everybody not have quick pay because you might get scammed. I hate to use the word hate but I hate Walgreens. Truth100%. Horrible service and attitudes from pharmacy staff and don't even have the medication to regulate my heart filled for the last 2 days, unprofessional and irresponsible if you ask me. To tell myself every month to find a new pharmacy is the new norm. Just thinking about that damn pharmacy will give you anxiety. I can't wait until they file for chapter 11 and go bankrupt because that's what they deserve. And they are being sued with Purdue pharma so I'll get a piece of theur pie one way or another. Walgreens is Walgreens. This one's so near us it is quite handy, except we get all our prescriptions from Kaiser Permanente. With no prescription reason to stop at Walgreens, the draw is minimal, and the Starbucks sharing the same parking lot becomes the bigger draw. But this Walgreens so close by, we do periodically drop in for such things as chip snacks, batteries, sugar-free candies, and puppy piddle pads. It's useful for quite a few odds and ends. But it's straight across National Avenue from Rite Aid which has been there vastly longer and gets a bigger share of our snacks and whatnots trade, as well as our over-the-counter drug needs. read more

My son had a prescription at Walgreens that needed to be picked up. The store's website, app, and phone recording all say that it is open on Saturday. We show up to get the prescription, and it's CLOSED! There's a little note posted, when we get there, that the pharmacy is closed. There was no way for us to know that the hours had suddenly changed. I get email and app notifications that my prescription is ready for pick up, but no alert that the pharmacy will be closed all weekend. The electronic readerboard out front that advertises Coke on sale has not alert to pharmacy closure. I'm just glad that it wasn't heart meds, insulin, or albuterol that my son needed, or we would have ended up in the ER. The pharmacy is already closed on Sunday. Why close on Saturday and make customers wait all weekend for their prescription medication? This store has pretty poor customer service. I went next door to the Rite-Aid in search of someone to take a passport photo. Rite-Aid's passport photo area was down and they recommended I go to Walgreens. Wow and thank you! I was actually quite impressed with Walgreens. Fast and friendly service. My passport photo turned out great. I noticed overall the store was clean, nicely laid out, and there was adequate and competent staff. read more

The staff at the local store are nice people. I easily uploaded the digital photos to the website. The prints were ready on time at the store. They looked quite nice. Unfortunately too nice. The requirement of a the "Walgreens Customer Copyright Declaration Form" for photos that "look professional" and a statement from the photographer is a real show stopper. The staff empathized with my situation but they had to follow corporate policy. Later my wife tells me she doesn't get photos printed at Walgreens because of this onerous policy. I am a single father and this place is VERY sexist. I went into the store several days ago to buy my 14 year old daughter some juice and chips. While I was there I decided to grab myself 1 beer. The lady at the counter said my daughter had to have ID for me to purchase a beer!!?? I asked to talk to the manager (Stephany) and she stated that she would "allow" me to buy the beer this time but my daughter would have to not come in the store the next time!!?? Worst service EVER by a pharmacist, Sepi was extremely rude to me treated me like a drug addict because I had an out of state license. I had just gotten laid off and didn't have the money to get a Wa. DL She said that she wasn't supposed to give me my meds because of this (SHE DID DISPENSE THE MEDICATIONS.) NO OTHER PHARMACY AROUND TOWN EVER TOLD ME THAT, NOT ONE PROBLEM!! This morning, I opened (they staple the bag) the prescriptions they gave me 7 days ago. They were controlled substances. I only counted them cause the school needed a specific amt. when I counted them out, I realized there were 5 missing. So I counted the other prescription in the same bag. It was 4 short. Also a controlled substance. I went in, and they counted their stock, and they agreed they must have messed up one of them because their count was off. However, the count was correct behind the counter, so they wouldn't replace them. And they implied that it was somehow my error. Uh... No. I'm not gonna fuss over 5 pills if I'm in the wrong. Anyway, the pharmacy manager went to HIS manager, we spoke on the phone, he said since their counts were right... Oh, and I've had them for 7 days, so.... Uh, again, no. I opened they sealed bag this morning and counted them immediately. Like... Seriously? I'm gonna raise a stink of I'm gonna jack 5 pills? Anyway....
