I never review non restaurants, but this place is so bad, they should just demolish it. It looks like the stores survivors of a zombie apocalypse go to look for whatever is left. The pharmacy takes way too long for everything and when I called and asked why my simple refill wasn't ready after 30 hours, I was brushed off with a horrible example of customer service. The pharmacy assistant is very rude. She talked down at me on the phone as though I was the one wasting her time, when in reality I didn't want to be there either, but I needed to because of a very important medication. It's one thing to need a medication, but to be talked down to is a whole other circus. She was like a grumpy schoolteacher. Angry and patronizing. Poor customer service all around. I don't write reviews but after reading others experience with the pharmacy was similar to mine. I called to see if my prescription was ready plus had a question. The person I talked with was rude. I asked a question regarding the medication but she was bothered and repeated it was ready and hung up! I just thought maybe she was having a bad day. This appears to be a common problem. This is a long review, and for those that hate words I will summarize before getting into the details. This store employs from my experience humans with a base IQ of 50, must have a knack to profile racially, economically, and by age; They also must lack a basic understanding of good customer service and decency, and know how behave so customers feel unwelcome and discriminated. I went in to Rite Aid to pick up some items such as toothpaste and mouthwash and deodorant. I went to the front of the store picked up the Ad to identify the things on sale. I was the only one in the store (little did I know why at the time). Went to the sections I needed and shortly after I noticed a staff member in plain clothes enter the aisle right across from me. She began ripping off tags making a lot of noise. At No point did she ask if I needed any help, she just yanked off tags. I was struggling trying to locate a couple of the items that I needed to pick up, but she didn't offer any assistance. Nothing. Because she didn't ask if I needed any assistance I went to the store front and asked the staff at the register. He was competent enough to point me to three items all grossly overpriced. They're asking 12.99 for a tiny 6 oz bottle of hand sanitizer. This type of item I have purchased from 1.99 to 2.99 for double or triple that amount at other stores. Returning to locate the other items I noticed the female staff member in plain clothes, and she was following me around. I gave her a puzzled look as I doubt I gave off any behavior that a shoplifter would exhibit. She disappeared and then I heard a female voice over the intercom. She stated something silly like "security all eyes on cameras". I was still the only customer. I laughed a bit and shook my head, and probably said what a dumb ass hat out loud. To announce to everybody in the store security needs to look at "all" the cameras is telling all shoppers that either their "security" is poor, or likely she is "deterring" shoplifters by calling this out. What it really did was imsult their only customer. So what was the tip off lady? My thuggish appearance (not likely), the deodorant, and cologne that imitates quality cologne by using a similar fragrance that i stuffed in my underwear? Likely not this either because all my items were in a cart. So what was it? Age, sex, appearance, who knows, but as I walked to the front she followed and I said the intercom statement was lacked tact, skill, professionalism, and was rude. She did not seem to care because she claimed her manager was racist like she is, and her poor decisions and behavior is approved. Dropped the items off at the front and obtained the managers phone number. As I walked out she was on the phone, assuming manager, but I was told the police. Wow. The worst customer service in the pharmacy. they are incredibly rude on the phone. When you call they act like you are a bother and they are short and hang up without saying goodbye or thank you. I have been a customer for almost 15 years. The staff at the poulsbo store were amazing. Since I transferred to silverdale I have had nothing but bad experiences. I hate to even call and talk to someone because they are so curt and short. I have to call because I have a scheduled prescription that is kept in their system they act like I am a drug seeker or some low life even though I have never presented myself in that way. I'm taking my business elsewhere. sorry you hate your job and have to work rite aid pharmacy staff but I have worked customer service for many years and now I take care of cancer patients. I have been a customer of this store for many years I appreciate the cleanliness of the store. I can almost always find what I want on the shelves but when not there staff has no complaints about checking stock. The pharmacists are pleasant and helpful. Prescriptions are ready on time. read more

I am so upset about how this pharmacy has declined so badly. The previous pharmacist had always been so kind and had gone above and beyond to make sure I had my medication when I needed it. The last THREE times I have used this pharmacy, there has been issues (all within a three week time span). The first was when I asked the person on the phone to please fax the doctor a refill request for a prescription, she faxed one, but it wasn't correct-, so I did not have my meds. Then next time, My doctor called in a prescription for Tamilflu, my husband went to pick it up and he was told he never received the prescription. When I called to inquire (because I knew he did have it) , he said "oooooh, it's in the Queue." THEN proceeded to tell me they were out. He was to transfer it to CVS, and didn't do it. I had to ask again, then he did it. Very very frustrating especially when you have the flu. I had to wait a full 24 hours for an antiviral that could have been filled immediately had he done his job. NEXT, Doctor called in a prescription for Quetiapine on Friday morning. I called around noon or a little before on that Friday and was told "yes it is here." I told the woman on the phone I would pick it up the following day and she said, "Okay see you then." NEXT DAY, I went to pick it up and even though it was 1:25 pm I was rudely told I would have to come back after 2:00 (lunch break)... THEN I was again rudely told they didn't have it and not only did they not have it they behaved as though I made the mistake. Several times I was questioned about who I talked to and how that didn't make sense. THEN was told to go to CVS minute clinic (closed on Saturdays) to get a new prescription. This made ZERO sense. When I mentioned to her they were closed, she responded with "well, I'm not CVS so I don't know their hours." Yes, that's right so don't TELL your customers to go there to get a prescription they do not need. Under healthcare laws, a pharmacy is permitted to give a five day supply of the medication the patient is taking if the meds are being backordered or there is an issue with the prescription itself. They said because the old prescription was out of refills they could not give me any to get me through. This pharmacy did not understand prescription laws. Fortunately, the SAFEWAY pharmacist (it took him several hours to even get through to Rite Aid to transfer) apologized profusely for RITE AID'S error, and said he would give me enough to get me through until HE could reach my doctor. This is more in line with all the pharmacies I have worked with over the past thirty years. I have kids with CF so I know exactly how the laws work, and what pharmacies can and cannot do. I think the worst part for me, was the level of rudeness and the level of uncaring behavior demonstrated. THESE ARE PSYCH meds to treat my BiPolar Disorder and if I abruptly stop them, I will go into withdrawals that could very likely put me in the hospital. The woman working behind the counter AND the pharmacist demonstrated they did not care. The kicker? The Rite Aid in Silverdale (WHO I CALLED) said she was so sorry that happened to me, and she had the medication and would fill it. All the pharmacist had to do was make the phone call like the OLD pharmacist would do if they were out of something I needed. I was never told the meds were on order, I was not offered another location for pick up. And before someone says to not wait until the last minute? I had been trying to get this filled from CVS for one solid week. When it was clear CVS couldn't get it, I had my doc call Rite Aid in Poulsbo. I'll NEVER make that mistake again, I'll make sure to let other patients know that if they need meds that cannot be abruptly stopped, to NOT use this location.It is stressful for us, because we know what the withdrawals can do. Fortunately, the Safeway in Poulsbo has a really awesome pharmacy staff- the pharmacist there understands I cannot be without my meds and will give me a five day supply... just like how it is supposed to be. read more

Went in and I will make a sure bet that the cashier was having a bad day. I am sorry for her about that. However it just does not excuse her semi rude behavior. I have worked retail, worked behind the counter, worked at a dry cleaners all alone on a Saturday w/o any break! So I know. At first she did not seem to want to help the young man in front of me, she sort of waved him over to the other cashier which I did not understand as she was free. Then she motioned for me to come over. I think she had some issues with comprehension I only asked if Rite Aid still had their plastic bags a simple question. She answered with: ' what do you mean? Really? I only asked because I had heard that there was going to be a ban on plastic bags. I was polite, but she seemed annoyed. The real issue I had was when it came time to put my pin number in, the young lady got defensive? Really? She said & I quote: 'Ma am I can't see the pin number through the glass'. I cover my pin as a HABIT! I have had my pin stolen & my balance reduced to within the negative number. I won't return to Rite Aid, instead I will travel out further & go to Bartells. She needs to know everyone is going thru problems including myself I am coming off of a horrible week & I'm having to endure a personal crisis . I was simply at the store as part distraction. I was so glad I had some restraint . Unacceptable! I was close to losing my temper but kept my cool. Rite Aid is it true that your Manager is racist? I'm only giving one star because I'm not allowed to leave a review with zero stars. I've been a customer of Rite Aid pharmacy for years. Recently transferred my two prescriptions to the Silverdale, WA location. I had ordered my refill (as I have for a couple of years) on Rite Aid's website Tuesday evening, and it was confirmed at that time as ready for pick up the next morning, Wednesday, at 11:00. I didn't make it in to pick it up until yesterday, Thursday morning. The employee I spoke with at the counter was incredibly rude. She barked questions in a rude tone with a stone faced expression while staring at her screen the entire time. After providing my name, date of birth and insurance information, she then loudly asked me to name my two prescriptions with several other customers standing right there. This has never happened this way at a pharmacy before - my previous Rite Aid was very considerate of customer privacy at the counter, and considerate in general. She was up on a platform and a few feet to my left, so it wasn't like I could disclose my prescriptions in a soft voice. I had to call them out. She didn't respond. She then ignored me while I stood there embarrassed, and a second pharmacy employee approached and politely asked if she could help me. I indicated that I *thought* the first employee was helping me. The first employee then yelled over to the second one, just as rudely to her co-worker, "They're not ready!" I then told the second employee that I ordered them on the website, and they were supposed to be ready yesterday morning at 11:00. The second employee said, at least in a polite and apologetic tone, "Well, one is ready but the other one isn't, they're working on it now. Maybe they had to order it or something. You can have a seat and we'll call you when they're ready." At this point, not feeling well and also embarrassed by the situation, I was done. I told her no thanks and walked out. She yelled after me and asked, "Do you at least want to pick up the one that is ready?" I yelled back, "NO!" and kept walking. I went straight home and reached out to Rite Aid on social media. I was asked to private message them with my phone number. I did as requested and provided my phone number. This was at 1:13 PM. I received no follow-up yesterday or today, and it's 3:20 PM. Overall a really unacceptable customer experience. I called my local Silverdale, WA Walgreens late yesterday afternoon, was treated politely and professionally by the Walgreens pharmacy staff member, who efficiently handled my Rx transfer from Rite Aid to Walgreens in a brief two minute conversation. Walgreens had my prescriptions ready for pickup, and contacted me to notify me of it, within one hour. My husband went right over and picked them up for me. Done. That, folks, is how you run a business. (Please feel free to also go read my review for Walgreens. I highly recommend choosing them for your pharmacy needs in Silverdale.) I wouldn't have even had an issue with the prescriptions not being ready at Ride Aid a whole day later than the confirmed pick up time, because things happen. That's not a big deal and I would have happily waited, if I hadn't been treated with such blatant rudeness. However, I will never tolerate rudeness like this, and no one else should either. I understand having a bad or busy day, but I have many other pharmacy options. Business 101: YOU need your customers. THEY don't need YOU. You crap on customers, they will leave, take their business elsewhere, and they will spread the word about it, too. read more

I was so humiliated! On Nov 3rd, 2020 I was purchasing an item at the front checkout counter. As I was paying a second clerk named Cliff was checking out another customer. He looked over at me and my clerk and said "I thought you were giving that up, at least for a day anyway." I looked at my clerk, looked at him and said "What?" His customer was staring at me, he was looking at me, my clerk apologized for his rude comment. Mind you, what I was purchasing is legal. He took it upon himself to judge my purchase make a very rude comment about something he knows nothing about. I have been patronizing this Rite Aid for 20 years. My husband and I are retired Navy Veterans. I have ALWAYS been kind, gracious and courteous to their customer service clerks and expect the same from them. In a time when businesses are hurting, why would he act this way towards a customer? I should have said something to him but instead I left in tears. Thank you Leah for having my back. I went to fill two scripts today for narcotics, since I have chronic pain. I am new to medicare and my insurance recommended rite aid because of their low price. The Pharmacist was very judgmental about the amount I was prescribed and he mentioned it three times! I've been on these meds for more than 10 years and it's the first time this has happened to me. He told me the insurance wouldn't okay the script at first and I asked him why. He shrugged his shoulders, acting like he didn't know why, but added maybe it's because it's a new script. Later he told me they approved my order and I asked him if everything was okay now. He shrugged his shoulders again and said we would have to wait until next time. I asked why and he said, well it's such a high dose, they may not want to cover it. What the hell?? I've never been told that before and I've had it filled at several pharmacies!! I'm so livid about their unprofessionalism and judgmental BS I could scream. The pharmacist and his assistant were both very rude and I will never go back there again. I'm telling you all, if you need narcotics for whatever reasons, don't go to Silverdale Rite Aid, unless you want to be treated like a second rate citizen. Thanks for listening. read more

This Rite Aid failed to follow through in making a phone call to the doctor after not receiving a response from the urgent care after a fax for a two weeks. My daughter was told she would be notified within a couple days after dropping her prescription off. They were also asked to transfer my prescription to this Rite Aid from a Rite Aid in California. Four days after not receiving a notification from them that it was ready I called and the pharmacy tech. stated, "Were we suppose to be doing something?" My service from Rite Aid in California was excellent!!! The service at this Rite Aid is the worst I've ever encountered!!!! I can see why they only are rated two stars:( read more

I have shopped and thoroughly enjoyed doing business at other rite aid stores. This particular rite aid store is not coupon friendly. The manager raised his voice at me when I tried to purchase an advertised limit of items with +up rewards. I WILL NEVER go there again. It was very embarassing. Needless to say, I left there without purchasing the items and went to Rite Aid on Kitsap Way, where there was absolutely no problem ringing up my items and being polite and accepting coupons. read more
