I headed to Walmart today although I do try to avoid going there. Sometimes my days are busy and I'm getting ready for major heart surgery, so I wanted to get in and get out quickly. Today was the absolute last straw! All I needed was a nail file... a simple, cheap nail file. I was appalled when I found it locked up behind glass doors! I had to walk around looking for a Walmart employee who could open the glass doors for a simple $1.68 nail file and it was the Walmart Brand at that! I couldn't believe I had to bother an employee for a $1.68 nail file. As it was she was having difficulty getting the glass doors open. Some kind of a new system I think she said. I gladly offered to stick my foot through the glass door but she didn't seem to think that was a good idea. When I finally got the nail file I thought I would be on my way. Nope! She had to locate a lockbox to put it in until I got to the cashier who would be able to unlock it. I never realized a $1.68 nail file was so valuable. I know that theft is a problem, but almost everything I was looking at today was locked up behind glass doors and I don't have the time to hunt down employees, plus sometimes I like to browse and read the merchandise packages before deciding on a particular product. I don't have that luxury when an employee is standing there waiting to close up the glass doors. I am so done with Walmart and any other store that takes the same route! Without question, theft happens. Whoever's in charge of Walmart security is not doing it the right way by harassing customers who walk out of the store after purchase. Not long ago I had a guy behind me grab an empty bag at a non-manned register (typical) and proceed to bag his items and then walk past me. As Walked out the doors and the cashier was notified, he said there was nothing he could do about it!?! I dread even needing anything at any Walmart. The time before last all I picked up was a prescription, and I was asked for my receipt! Seriously?! No! I get my prescriptions elsewhere now. Consistent delays in pick up orders that are made ahead of time so the time selected it's never actually ready. When given the option to choose a substitute the workers continuously choose something completely different that I never even listed (they choose pricier ones costing me more money half the time) even if the item is still available in store???? Even when putting an order way ahead of time by the time they actually work on my order the stuff I need is gone, this just makes me think their workers are being lazy and last minute. Is no one doing their job properly or just this sections of curbside pickup in the store or something because I've had countless curbside pickup issues now which is ridiculous since these are orders given to y'all ahead of time and I usually only ever get 3-6 items so it's not like it's a whole grocery order. read more

Would give 0 star if I could. Got 2nd time straight terrible customer service at oil change auto center. I had appointment at 12pm waiting for 1hr. I didn't get any text so I came out and checked. My car was still there didn't move an inch. I asked and they said they were too busy while literally only 1 car ahead when I walked in. Better delivery system than Safeway by far. Safeway kept charging us for stuff they left out of orders and the only way to get refunded for the missing items was to get them on the phone to correct it, very disconcerting, even seemed intentional at times like they know people don't like to make phone calls and they make a better profit by charging for stuff not delivered. So far checking what arrives in Walmart deliveries, everything is there, and if not, they don't charge for it, and let us know by email what not to expect. Vastly superior to Safeway. read more

WALMART I tried to return a wall hanger for a TV and they said no, you can't return electronics. I explained it has no wires, it's not electronic and in a sealed box. She said "you're wrong, it says electronics on my register." So I got her manager and he says no, she's right that can't even be exchanged for credit or a gift card, and he wouldn't consider fixing it, this sealed box containing nothing nothing but a piece of furniture because .. IT'S ELECTRONIC then made it very clear maybe I should move along (I know electronics get returned to that area. And it was the store manager, please quit trying to explain that to me guys.) The manager is named Steven, at store 2317 in E Bremerton. If you go to Walmart drive past ours and go to Silverdale, ours is run by people who can't and won't try to help. Walmart in Bremerton was our go to place. The prices are cheap and its close by. Recently, they implemented a search of bags although they just saw you come from the cashier. They have employees, sometime 2 at a door. Not needed. Those folks could be running another check lane. They are not consistent in checking bags and receipts and seem a little geared towards Blacks. I am stopped just about every time I go to there. Tonight, I was stop and multiple Caucasians walked right out the store with items in hand and no bags. I asked why I was being stop, I was told it was because my 12 pack of water was not in a bag. Well, you just let multiple people walk out without showing a receipt and their stuff was not in bags. I've been stopped with stuff in bags...Hmmm. They are smaller in size compared to Poulsbo and the selection is not that great. I will be shopping from Walmart in Poulsbo or target. read more

On the 25th of Sept I purchased a small jar of the Equate Vaseline. I opened it to discover it had a deep two finger swipe out of it. After speaking to the store manager and the Pharmacy I was informed neither of them were going to go out and check the other jars to see if it happened to them to. The store manager said it happens and there's nothing they can do about it. I beg to differ this will be the last purchase I make at this store. This is a location that is smaller than your typical Walmart but larger than the Neighborhood Market. They have all of the departments but on a much smaller scale. The fresh fruits and vegetable sections were limited​ and disappointing. Otherwise, it is your local store where you can purchase a limited amount of supplies for your home. I was able to purchase the few items I wanted to take back to the hotel (water and snacks). I also happened upon a pair of zipper pulls representing my beloved Philadelphia Eagles. read more

Initially I was really happy with this Walmart. We made an online order for pick-up and drove over an hour and half out here. I was pleased with how clean and organized the store was compared to what I've experienced elsewhere. I even thought to myself, "Wow, this place has cleaner bathrooms than any Target I've ever been in." Our pick-up was smooth and quick. We grabbed our order and started the journey back home. The next time we tried making another order in the same way and everything went wrong. The order was stuck in their "pending" limbo for way longer than expected, even though the payment had been accepted and the store had the inventory on hand. When we finally called and asked for help the pick-up guy was extremely unhelpful and defensive. When we asked to speak to a manager, she was more helpful and offered to set the items aside for us to pick-up the next morning if we wanted to just cancel our online order. She asked the previous gentleman we spoke to to confirm that the items were set aside and he said they were. The next morning, my fiance made the hour and a half drive once again to pick-up our hold. When he arrived, they only had one of our items set aside and were sold out of the other item that was supposed to be held. The closest store that had what we needed was Federal Way. So my fiance had to drive all the way out there. He was not happy. I never expect much from Walmart customer service, but there was a totally breakdown here. We knew how smoothly this process could work and then saw how terribly flawed it could be. I appreciated the manager's attempt at finding us a solution to a problem that was technically out of her hands. But the fact that it still fell apart makes me not trust this Walmart location with my orders or my money. read more

What terrible customer service this place has. I bought two laptops here on clearance, $300 each. The gal at the counter grabbed the two laptops and "verified" they were the right model on clearance. When she was scanning them in, they rang up for $349. I brought it up to her but she said it was fine, they would deduct later. We get to the paying part and they still haven't been discounted. She tells me it will be fine. It wasn't fine. She grabbed the wrong models. I tell her that she must have grabbed the wrong model. She goes back and "verifies" and admits she grabbed the wrong models and gets two more laptops. She can't refund my card because she doesn't know how to. So she offers to give me a Wal-Mart gift card to just pay for the new two laptops that are the right model. I say sure why not, she's having a rough time and I don't want to be a hassle. There's a problem though, she doesn't know how to do that either. Oh yeah another problem, She scans these "correct" laptops in, she grabbed two completely different laptops and both of them are the wrong model. OMG. There's a huge line forming at the electronics counter, she's flustered, there is a small mountain of laptops sitting on the counter. I end up spending a $100 more than I expected. Good thing I bought the protection plans though, which is the second chapter to this story. Chapter 2 - Stuck in the middle with you Literally 2 days later after a windows update the laptop has deleted the operating system. Gone. I look it up and this is a known issue and can happen. Ugh. Good thing I bought that warranty. I goto the squaretrade website and they say "Nope, it's within the 15 day period and its Wal-Mart's problem." Ok sure, I call Wal-Mart and they say sure as long as you have everything that it came with, you know the box and such. Crap, I threw away the box. The gal tells me it's alright we can help you. I get to the customer service desk and they say nope, no box, no help. We can't help you. I say the lady just said it's fine over the phone, they say nope, that's why we tell you to keep the box. Here's the deal, nobody told me to keep the box, they just said keep the receipt. Too bad they say. We don't know who didn't tell you to keep the box, to which I interject with the receipt showing show didn't tell me, and they say too bad, so sad. Deal with it with squaretrade after our 15 day period is up. FINE! I file a claim with squaretrade and they say nope, it arrived broken. You have to deal with Wal-mart on this one. WhAt ThE eVeRlOvInG oMg. Honestly I don't know what I expected from Wal-mart. Actually, this is exactly what I expect when I goto Wal-Mart. Save yourself the heartache and just goto Fred Meyer. This place is just hot garbage. Not regular garbage. They take the time to warm up the oven and shove a big helping shovelful of garbage into that bad boy so they can give it to you hot and steaming. I went to this Walmart because a few months ago they had the vitamins I needed for a good price. This is what happened on my visit yesterday. 1. There were NO carts inside the store. I had to go out to the parking lot and get a cart, along with several others just arriving at the store. 2. The vitamins were not in stock. 3. Two other items I was there for were not in stock either. Empty shelf space. 4. I asked a store employee when item might be expected. They said I don't know as if I was bothering them. 5. The check out lines were ridiculous. There were two that were manned and three self check out lanes open. The lines were at least 5 customers in each one. It was obvious this place doesn't give a damn about customer service. Now I have good reason to never go there again. I never have liked the cheapness of Walmart, but hey I like to save a little just like the next guy. read more

Abysmal customer service every single time I go in there. Today I kept showing the CSR an aisle number with the item in the Walmart app. She kept telling me that they only have them in the electronic section, and that they're not a superstore. I asked her where aisle J is and she just kind of blew me off and offered port orchard phone number. I asked somebody else and he took me to the same electronic section, and wondered around like a lunatic and showed me the same aisle with the electronics again. Still nobody listening that I have the aisle #, lol. Some other woman at least pointed me in the corner of a general idea of where I might find the item, smiled and listened that I know where it is I just don't know where aisles are. The Wal-Mart is really the only place to get stuff for cheap when you're on a budget. So I have no complaints there. The only complaint I have is that the staff working there know absolutely nothing and are very rude. We once asked a woman where we could find blowtorches (for bbq and searing sushi) and she didn't know what it was nor where to find it, and we ended up finding it ourselves 10 mins later. Another instance, we were looking for the humidifiers and the lady didn't know what it was. Seriously? If you can't find something, you're better off looking yourself, don't bother asking anyone, it's just a waste of time... We went in 10 mins before closing, and I wanted to buy some catfood real quick, so I was in the aisle looking for some, and some worker there was rushing me out! Good for prices and convenience, terrible terrible staff. Don't deal with them if you absolutely don't have to. read more

This Walmart does have quite a few problems at the moment, but is supposed to be supersized soon. The "associates" working the door often search people they "don't like the looks of." This honor is usually reserved for thin women, people with interesting hair colors, blacks, and teenagers of all varieties. I've had my bags searched four times there. You can get service from associates if they think you are going to steal something. The best practice is to hover over the item for a few minutes, then pick it up and put it down. I've been coming to this Walmart for the past 6 years...I had no complaints. It was cheap and that's all I wanted. Walmart makeup is always at LEAST 1-2 dollars cheaper than your average drugstore (Target, CVS, Rite Aid, ect.) however, they recently changed their arrangement moving all the makeup to a secluded jewelry section where you can't leave without paying for your items there. That means if you went to get eyeliner and wanted to look at the movies. YOU CANT LEAVE WITHOUT BUYING IT FIRST. and then they're like "we can hold your items for your convenience and ring you up when you are done with your shopping trip" FYI THAT IS ABSOLUTELY COMPLETELY INCONVENIENT AND RIDICULOUSLY IRRITATING. not only that..there's this little asian lady that stares you down while you're looking at makeup practically stalking you not letting you leave to finish shopping. She will literally stand in your way and...she barely speaks english I can't understand her at all but she will block you physically with her body. They probably did that because people were stealing but SERIOUSLY. It is so irritating and uncomfortable to buy makeup I go to the target in silverdale to buy all my makeup there now because the few extra dollars and gas is so worth it rather than being stalked and cornered in a tiny tiny secluded section by a woman who barely speaks english. Literally, I will walk to inches to the left she walks two inches to the left. She stares at you. No shame. All that's in my head is..."lady. are you serious." and then they have the nerve to say "for your convenience" on the signs. No. Absolutely not. Either put a sign and surveillance cameras up telling customers that people have been stealing so employees have to keep a closer eye on the makeup shelves OR JUST KICK OUT THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN STEALING. It's not fair to make everyone incredibly uncomfortable and inconvenienced because of a few thefts. I am so so so disappointed in this store and avoid coming here for makeup at all costs. To sum it up; incredibly awkward, uncomfortable, and ridiculously irritating. Another thing is...this walmart is never stocked lol. Never. ever. stocked. If something is out of stock---come back in a month or so. Depending on what you're getting. But don't ever expect it to be there the next couple of weeks. I really detest shopping at Walmart and although it is clearly the closet store open 24 hours a day I try at best to avoid it. Not only is it hard to find someone to actually help you, the times I do need to come here they seem to always be out of stock! Not a total dig at the store but as a company as a whole -as a billion dollar company you should do more for your employees health care wise to help them get off state assistance. It is a capitalistic world we live in but it is truly sad when your own employees who work full time for a company that racks in so much money in profits each quarter can't not provide the basic necessities in health care to its' own employees'! Also, you should totally enforce a dress code!! I can't tell you how many times I've had to run in on a pinch and have seen dirty undies, kids and adults walking around with no shoes etc. Call me snotty but I'm more than happy to pay more money out f my pocket of it means I'm getting quality for my items. It is pretty hard to get excited about this store. There are lots of changes here since I was in the store. I noticed that damaged boxes were on the shelf, and lots of open shelf locations / unstocked. It looks a bit run down. I came in for a name brand stapler and a coffee maker. I found they did not have either item, so left. I live close by, but divert to other stores because of the condition. I will update this if next visit changes my opinion.
