I was put off a bit by this because, although true, it was a very in your face thing to say to someone just entering the store. I was planning on looking for books to purchase but while walking back to that area I heard the employee/owner? Say the same thing two more times in a loud voice to everyone in the store. It was a total turn off. I don't like feeling pressure to buy something to appease a shop owner. If your prices are good and I see what I like I will almost always purchase something. I love supporting local stores but this behavior was over the top and we walked out and so did several other people. I'm sure there are some people who look around because they are bored while waiting for the ferry and while that may be irritating as a shop owner, it is part of business anywhere. If you stand by your product then let people come in and browse without giving a guilt trip to people. We left and went a few stores down and made a purchase at a cute boutique where the owner welcomed us and let us browse and make a purchase without saying anything other than pleasantries.

That sounds like an exaggeration but it was really an experience to be in this store. For the longest time, I had this store in my memory, yet couldn't recall where it was. I suspected it was here, and as soon as I walked in, I recognized the grand wooden staircase in the center. Nowadays, the store features high end specialized grocery items, clothing, and decorative kitchen decor. There is a free bathroom and a cafe in the back with a few tables for seating next to very sunny windows. The only reason I am not giving five stars is that the cafe staff was a bit brusque, no smiles, although they surely served us efficiently.

Very attentive, knowledgeable, and caring. The kind of professionals that I want when someone is dealing with something that I'm going to ingest or use in our on my body. They have a young woman who is usually at the window, and she is awesome. She always has a smile on her face and is willing to go the extra mile to make sure that you are well taken care of. The biggest issue that I have with this pharmacy is that, for some reason, lately, their drive up window has been closed during their open hours. This issue makes it very difficult for those who may have a disability to be able to easily get their medicine. Other than that, I trust the pharmacy. And because it's easy access and the folks seem to know what they're doing, I won't go anywhere else. I'm very happy that this particular pharmacy in Kingston was not subject to the closures that happened around the country to Rite Aid.

They have made several calls to clarify or transfer my prescriptions, several times over the past few years. I much prefer them to a supermarket across the street, which I found problematic. When I was about to leave the country for six months, my insurance company would not pay for any additional supply of medication. The pharmacist told me about a discount that is available. I had never heard of it before. I wound up paying $54 for the three months of medication that at full price cost many hundreds of $$. That is very good customer service.
