I was told that the family matriarch did all the baking. Since it was before Thanksgiving I asked if I could make a pie order. I did it via text using the number on card they gave me. I ordered 3 pies and 24 dinner rolls. Picked up them the day before Thanksgiving. They were perfectly packaged for travel and the rolls are still warm, yeasty and large. My family raved about all of them and really loved the rolls. I hope people support the family by ordering from them. It is a funky place and there still figuring out what their niche is. Gas prices aren't great, but they aren't horrible either, and I get it that gas deliveries are probably a bit more out in the boonies. The aisles are narrow, the shelves aren't brimming with goods and the place is just dingy. To be fair, they've recently had new management, and the guy who bought it probably isn't loaded with cash, so it's going to take a while for him to build the business up. The building recently got a coat of fresh paint, and it's now downright vivid. It would be nice to fix the sign on top so it says "BEAVER VALLEY" rather than BEAVER VAL_EY"

Beyond the normal sorts of products you might expect in a standard corner market, this shop had tons of specialized products, mostly emphasizing "nordic" content. My wife, and I, is very conscientious of where we get our food (meat, produce, fruits, etc.) on top of that we enjoy supporting local farms and the Chimacum, Port Townsend and Port Hadlock area have a quite a few of them. We would go through our rounds of getting various foods from a few of these farms by traveling to them. What we realized once we started shopping here at the Corner Farmstand is that all the produce, dairy, fruits and not so random other food items we buy from local farms is sold in this spot. It lives up to it's name as being a a Farmstand (on a corner). The prices are great because when you break it all down going to one place that supports local farms, doesn't make a huge profit by marking prices way up to beyond the price they're purchasing their items for is refreshing. You break down the costs of traveling from each farm and it is greatly worth it to just come here and do all the shopping at once. The staff that work here have always been friendly, the vibe is very chill and wife and I have even found a few songs that I'd never heard before to add to my wife and I's eclectic musical archives (sometimes it's the little things that count, right?). I have recently heard that if you have EBT they have some special deals for you. So it seems that they don't want anyone go away no matter what your budget may be and I find that refreshing to see a local business cater to such a broad spectrum of people who varying budgets. All in all I would say that if you want to support local farms and get some fresh unique foods then come here and check it out.

I can't recommend that shortbread high enough and the rest of the Farmstand is just so great! Definitely a must stop!
