Here visiting; most of the Albsetsons in my area are just about gone. This is a pretty decent one for the area. The only complaint I have is check out lanes. Apparently when people of other culture they will 'babysit' you like a hawk. I was there to check out and the store clerk appear to ignore everyone else to concentrate on me. I almost wanted to say something, but figure I'm not here long. I visited this store twice as I'm staying at an airbnb same thing happened. They have moved to dynamic digital price tags which changed based on an algorithm which tracks you prior purchases, what time of day you shop, inventory, etc. then gives "custom prices" to consumer based on what the algorithm says you will pay. This is my neighborhood Albertsons. I like it much better than the local store in my community, that's only a couple of blocks away from me. The Albertsons is about 3 miles from me. And as I said I like it, but not anywhere near much as the Safeway over in Poulsbo. I know Albertsons and Safeway are the same family, the same Corporation, and such. However, the Safeway produce is just beautiful, and Albertsons is severely lacking in my opinion. The overall Ambience of the Safeway store is much more inviting as well. I recognize it's a newer store but the Albertsons really needs to be spruced up and quite possibly rearranged. But it works for me to run into Albertsons when I'm in a hurry. read more

Stopped into this Albertsons to kill time before getting on the ferry. The experience was a SNL skit. *Oddest looking cakes I have ever seen, looked like a small child made them all. Check out the picture of the "hamburger cake" that looks like a cross between a Sesame Street character and a LSD trip. *The "budget beer" section. *The smallest, saddest meat section ever. *Zero employees on the floor. Will give them props to all of the pick ups and gun racks in the parking lot. I know that if someone tried to rob the place, I'd have ample entertainment and additional input for that script. This Safeway needs to stock their shelves on a regular basis. I have gone in several times to get something, and it gone. There is never anyone at the customer service desk to help. The pharmacy staff all but Kelly are rude. Safeway needs more staff. Maybe if they started people off at a decent wage, they would retain the help. Safeway is the new 7/11 read more

Took away our Albertsons its new, but not better in many ways. More expensive is #1. Less options more Safeway brands. The Deli is wayyy more friendly though so that's good!!!! Fresh baked bread is about 1/4 smaller now but we pay the same price ‍. read more

At the time they were remodeling so things were a little disheveled. Not a big deal. Not a great selection of fake meats or vegetarian stuff. Good thing I eat meat or I'd be a little screwed. There was a very tiny section for the Gluten free. If you have any of those special diets, I'd suggest bringing your own food. But they have the normal staples of food. Some items seemed seemed a bit overpriced but what can you say when there are hardly anything for miles around. read more

That is what I am reviewing... not the Albertsons but red box is so obscure you cant comment on anything that will warn anyone... so here it is... I stepped out of my usual Fire Stick movie search because my son home on leave, wanted to watch a specific movie i couldn't find on the fire stick. We rented and watched the movies. He was called in for deployment at the last min and accidentally kept the movies... i returned them as soon as i could get them. I explained this to Red box at the time. they said just contact us when you get them turned in. I did and all together i had them for 20 days... They charged me over $100 dollars even after i explained my situation. I will never rent a Redbox again... with Fire Stick and Amazon ... heck even YouTube is a better option at this point.... Thank you Red Box for continuing the corporate money grab and jerking everyone around... your awesome!!! While the staff is very friendly, the store is severely lacking. You can rarely go in and get everything you need. The produce is pitiful. Like it is what Safeway no longer wants on their shelves. Why can Central Market get good avocados at a good price, but 80% of the time Albertsons avocados have brown streaks when you cut them open...and they cost more? And why can't we get fresh seafood? And now the brands offered are diminishing and in their place are the "Signature" corporate brand items. Need some better sourcing. Going to start driving to Poulsbo to shop. read more

This store I am impressed with and like very much. Although only having 1 experience that could have been better it improved my overall outlook about this store. This store still does its best to improve and makes me want to totally shop in that store and to this day this store earns my business. The Kingston Albertson's, at George's Corner where I do the majority of my grocery shopping. Not because I'm particularly in love with Albertson's, but it's just nearest my house. The store is newer, and recently they've cut the amount of lights they use inside by half, so it's not nearly as bright as it used to be, which is a good thing in my opinion. They have an in-store Starbucks coffee bar (not a "Starbucks" but they close enough if that's your thing.) They quit renting movies, but offer the Red-Box DVD thing and there is a video store in the same shopping center. This location features a small but adequate bakery, deli, meat counter and fresh produce. The Sav-On pharmacy within Albertsons is priced competitively and until Rite Aid offered the only pharmacy service in Kingston. Not a lot of turnover in this store, so it's easy to get to know the employees. The cashiers are experienced and efficient, and the baggers pay attention and know how to properly bag groceries, both of which make for a pleasant shopping experience. There is also an Albertson's Mini-mart gas station in the parking lot if you just can't do the whole grocery shopping thing. read more

They have giant price tags, but that isn't the price you pay, unless you download the app, scan the tag, then.... oh forget about it, I will just shop somewhere that has the actual prices on things. The last thing I want to do while grocery shopping is have to use my phone as a upc scanner like I am putting together my wedding registry for $0.90 worth of soda. read more

My boyfriend and I were just shopping at Albertsons and bought some pretty expensive steaks and when we got home they weren't in any of our bags. I called Albertsons and she tells me she will go check it out. Then comes back to the phone a couple minutes later and tells me no one turned them in and that there was basically nothing they can do. I'm not one to get mad with this kind of stuff but we spent good money on those steaks and they were for Christmas eve. I feel like something more could of been done since I just spent money on nothing now. read more

I interviewed a lot of florists on Bainbridge Island and Poulsbo for my wedding. I found Albertsons to be the most affordable and by far exceeded my expectations. I had Stacy from Albertsons do the flowers for my wedding, they were just stunning and so romantic. I can't say enough good things about working with her and how accommodating she was. We even forgot to pick something from floral up and she hand delivered it during my wedding day to the venue. She was also very knowledgeable with what was in season and different options. Today marks the last time I will continue to be treated poorly by the NEW "STALIN LIKE KARENS." I shop at Albertsons 3 times a week for my extended family and we spend quite bit across the year and have been a steady customer for over 7 years. On average, we spend 300-400 per week (For full extended family). Today, I went to the store in the early morning and there were few people in the store, many aisles had no people at all. With my full shopping cart and only one more item to pick up, I turned the corner for the dishsoap at the very end. I was greeted by a store employee that told me I was going in the wrong direction and that I would need to walk all the way around to be in the proper direction in order to shop...I WAS THE ONLY PERSON IN THE AISLE...this is beyond ridiculous. I complained to the manager on my way out and he got another manager who incompetently bumbled on about "well we try and follow the guidelines of the CDC...like a robot." He did not care that his employee was rude and that her behavior was ridiculous considering there was NO ONE ELSE IN THE AISLE and hardly any people in the store. That is why I went in early so that I could avoid all of the nonsense where store employees are going way overboard in pushing their power or CYA at the expense of common sense and client experience. The CDC has guidelines, yes...they should be applied with common sense instead of a rote rule that may chase customers away. This is the last time I go to Albertsons in Kingston. I will take my $14,400K-$21,600K per year and go elsewhere. I get the need to physically distance and take common sense precautions but this was absolutely uncalled for. Not only was that employee's behavior inexcusable, but 2 managers - one who I have seen and treated politely 3 times a week for 7 years...then his manager...both indifferent and really did not give a darn about my experience or losing a customer. It must be nice to be so profitable that you really don't care. It's sad that this is the environment that is getting created...where employees are just trying to unthinkingly follow the rules at any cost so that they don't get in trouble. read more

This Albertsons is always very clean, with a decent selection of food at good prices. I especially love the deli and the buy one get two free steak sale. I feel that I have saved a lot of money at this store. The staff are friendly and kind. Really like this store. read more

I am giving the 1 star for the Pharmacy only, unfortunately I can't find a separate rating site for the pharmacy only. I had the most frustrating experience today at the pharmacy. I went up to the counter to add my name to a wait list for the shingles shot. I noticed, right above my head and all the way down the front of the section, there was dust hanging down from the pull-down shades that come down at night. I was shocked at how filthy it was. I said to the woman behind the counter, "do you see all that dust"? she said "yes, how can I help you". I said, it's pretty unsanitary considering there are open pill bottles being measusred out, she said "how can I help you" I said "maybe you should call maintenance, she said " we have, how can I help you"? I said, well, I was going to get a shingles shot here but I'm concerned about the cleanliness of the place, she did not respond. I asked for the managers name and she threw her head and said "over there". Finally, another woman called out to me that I should ask for the store manager at the front desk which I did. The store manager comes up and walks over with me. I pointed out the dust and he said, "oops, I forgot my dust broom". Then as we were walking back up front he tried to joke it was a Halloween prop, then he said he barely saw it, I had good eyes! At no time did he say, I will take care of that. I mentioned the potential health hazards and he basically ignored me! I am still shocked. I shop there about 3 times a week and if it is not clean when I go back on Friday I will call the health department. read more

Overall I like this particular Albertsons. I've shopped at the one in Poulsbo and its always been pretty lackluster because the staff is unfriendly and their store is always out of something. The Albertsons in Kingston has very friendly staff who know where everything is and is always willing to take you to where the item is rather than point toward and aisle and tell you it should be down there. My one major issue is their produce. First off the selection is minimal at best and it is ALWAYS under ripe or too ripe. Its so frustrating to have to dig through every single piece of produce to find something that you can use in maybe a week. I get my basic necessities here but when I am shopping for produce or looking for something unique, I head to Central Market. read more

Kingston is the best Albertsons I have ever set foot in. There have only been a small handful of times that they have not had what I needed, and in each and every case, they placed a special order for it, and had it within 2 days! In a small town like Kingston, anywhere you go is a drive, and I so appreciate them going out of there way to order me a certain type of bottled water or chocolate so that I do not have to make an extra trip into Silverdale or Bremerton to track something down. The customer service is impecible, every employee is so friendly. It amazes me how many people remember and call me by my name when I come in. This store also has a Starbucks; Krystal, Amanda, and Laurie have my drink of choice waiting before I even get up to the counter. Their pharmacist Diane has saved my life twice by catching a drug interaction that even my doctor had missed. Adam, Chris, and Brent go out of their way to ask me how I am doing, and if there is anything I need. I simply cannot say enough about how wonderful this store is! read more
