I am just here to do an update and reiterate that the the Rosemary Shortbread ( I originally said scones but that's not what it is) is simply to die for and remains top notch wonderful. On my last visit here which was quite recently it came to my attention that the Rosemary Shortbread must be quite a phenomenon that is not limited just to our household. You can now purchase two packs of them in the bakery case as well as single ones. They are made just up the road where Finn River Cidery is and moved a short distance to the Farmstand so they are fresh and ready to go as it is quite obvious when you bit into them. I can't recommend that shortbread high enough and the rest of the Farmstand is just so great! Definitely a must stop! read more

If you've ever driven through Chimacum, Washington, on your way to Port Townsend, slow down! Chimacum Corner Farmstand, a rural natural grocer and nursery that focuses on "keeping it local," is one of my Olympic Peninsula favorites. Locals call it "the Corner." Chimacum Corner Farmstand is made up of four parts: Corner Produce Porch, Corner Grocery, Corner Kitchen, and Corner Nursery: Corner Produce Porch is a beautifully designed produce porch that you pass through as you enter into the building. They sell only Certified Organic and crops grown by local farmers using organic methods. They have repeatedly been voted "Best Produce Jefferson County." Corner Grocery is a small but well-curated grocery store that offers an outstanding selection of drinks, meats, treats, personal care, housewares and cleaning supplies, specialty goods, Corner merchandise, and more. They emphasize local and organic products. Corner Kitchen is one of my favorite parts of the store. They have a coffee corner with housemade treats and pastries, a deli fridge full of fresh sandwiches, wraps, fresh spring rolls, and salads. They also have lots of grab-n-go goodies, and pre-prepared frozen meal offerings like lasagna and hearty pot-pies. Some of the grab-n-go goodies are made in house, but there are also lots of products made by local vendors and neighboring businesses. They have an outstanding selection! Corner Kitchen plenty of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options too. Bring your cooler because you are going to want to buy everything you see! Corner Nursery is "a lush array of plants, seeds, soils and amendments, pollinators and pest control, pottery, books, and more." They have a seasonally rotating lineup of hardy, locally grown and suitable, "clean" plants. This is the kind of business that makes me wish I lived here. One day, I will live in nearby Pierce County, at least part of the year. When I do, I plan to be become a regular customer of this business. I can't wait! My wife and I were referred here by some friends of ours and so we decided to check them out and ever since then it has been one of our favorite spots to shop. My wife, and I, is very conscientious of where we get our food (meat, produce, fruits, etc.) on top of that we enjoy supporting local farms and the Chimacum, Port Townsend and Port Hadlock area have a quite a few of them. We would go through our rounds of getting various foods from a few of these farms by traveling to them. What we realized once we started shopping here at the Corner Farmstand is that all the produce, dairy, fruits and not so random other food items we buy from local farms is sold in this spot. It lives up to it's name as being a a Farmstand (on a corner). The prices are great because when you break it all down going to one place that supports local farms, doesn't make a huge profit by marking prices way up to beyond the price they're purchasing their items for is refreshing. You break down the costs of traveling from each farm and it is greatly worth it to just come here and do all the shopping at once. The staff that work here have always been friendly, the vibe is very chill and wife and I have even found a few songs that I'd never heard before to add to my wife and I's eclectic musical archives (sometimes it's the little things that count, right?). I have recently heard that if you have EBT they have some special deals for you. So it seems that they don't want anyone go away no matter what your budget may be and I find that refreshing to see a local business cater to such a broad spectrum of people who varying budgets. All in all I would say that if you want to support local farms and get some fresh unique foods then come here and check it out. read more

Love the Chimacum Farmstand! They have a fantastic selection of local organic produce, local dairy and meat, as well as local small bakery baked goods from some of the best bakers around. This is a must stop location if you are visiting , come in for sone snacks and drinks at the very least! And, if you are a local, there are fantastic gift items and a garden nursery shop attached with heirloom veggies and a great selection of flowers and trees - and they will order something special for you as needed too - as well as great gourmet food items inside the store. Amazing store. What a beautiful place. They have organic everything here. I love that they store an abundance of pastries in the refrigerators and also the wooden shelves. There is a plethora of wine and beer. Outside there is the cutest nursery, wish we had brought a bigger car! We came in here not knowing what to expect, and left with baked goods, books, a face mask, local ice cream, and Christmas gifts. I loved the manager, he was super friendly. Chimacum Corner Farmstand is a nice neighborhood market in the area, with plants, local produce and other smaller food items. We visited the farmstand, as we wanted to get some drinks and snacks for our road trip. Though I expected more of a fruit stand, this market was a nice pit stop. The farmstand is taking safety measures seriously, as they only allow a certain amount of people inside, and ask before doing so, to wash your hands with the hand washing station set up outside. There is an outdoor area where all of the plans are, mostly being different herbs and trees for gardeners. The produce area is in the front of the market and was the most crowded. It was hard to actually see what's in stock, since most everyone was congregated around this area. But the local produce looked fresh. If I lived in the area, I would definitely get products here. For the grocery area of the market, the space is small, but they had enough items to suffice anyone looking for snacks and drinks, such as myself. The selection here was actually really great, with many healthy products to choose from, including local kombucha, different coconut waters, and bulk items, like nuts, grains, etc. Glad to have checked it out while in the area. read more

This store was so cute! We had some time to kill before Finnriver opened up for the day across the street, so we swung in here to browse around. They have a lovely outdoor greenhouse! I wish we needed more groceries but we didn't. Our friend did buy all the ingredients needed here to make carbonara for us for dinner that night. They had a good selection of everything, from alcohol, to sauces. The soup of the day looked yummy too. Next time, we will definitely buy more groceries here when we are in the area! read more

Stumbled upon this gem when we were headed to a cidery down the street and stopped in to check them out along with the little farmers market in front on Saturdays. There's a hand washing station to wash and sanitize your hands before you enter the market. BRILLANT especially during the pandemic. I LOVE THIS PLACE! Tons of beautiful, organic, local produce as well as other tidbits. The kids got ice cream pops and I went to town on the stone fruits. There's also a huge nursery / garden shop outside where you can browse for plants and things. We dropped by twice and the second time I grabbed some sandwiches for our lunch. Delish especially the turkey and cheddar one. Yum! Definitely check this place out if you're into natural health / grocery stores. YOu'll love it! read more

CUTEST little farm stand with the most awesome variety of products, fresh produce, and plants! So glad we stopped here. Incredible vegetable selection! I stop by here almost everyday. A lot of the produce is local and I believe most (if not all) is organic. And if you love apples they are never short on their apple selection. They also have a great selection of vegan friendly packaged items. Only shortcoming - they don't really have very many, if any, ready-made vegan and gluten-free to-go items. Would love to be able to pick up some quick lunch or dinner items. They've got minimally-processed apple cider, a variety of honey meads, all the cuts of yak, goat and elk meat you could ask for, lots of veg, homemade peasant breads, and a very welcoming and knowledgeable staff. The prices are extremely expensive, but we are glad we stopped here. read more

This is about their ice cream, so if you're lactose lame keep scrolling. We were driving thru and passed a roadside ice cream sign. I didn't even go inside, I dropped off my wife and explored the parking lot cuz if I stopped the car our monster, ahem toddler would wake up. My beloved bride returned to our rental with honestly some of the best ice cream I've ever had... yup, best. My wife got me a chocolate shake which was good, but the huckleberry ice cream was other worldly. And it may have been overpriced and yes we are not locals( as a reviewer below points out) but who cares! It was so f'n good! if i lived closer, i would shop here everyday. e-v-e-r-y-d-a-y. this is the cutest place and they back up the cuteness with real items that are mostly local and have good for you ingredients. if you're not used to shopping at a food coop, this may feel foreign and/or expensive to you, but i would argue that you will be won over by the quality. whenever i am anywhere in the vicinity, i make it a point to stop in. this time i came away with a hermiston melon because you just have to, and some scrumptious baked good. i love going and wandering the small aisles because if you are camping or anywhere in the area on vacation this is the kind of place you are going to thank your lucky stars for. they have everything you could need or want or find yourselves lacking spur of the moment, including toiletries, a bulk section, homemade salsa, an extensive wine and beer selection and great ice cream. the people who work here are super nice. it doesn't matter if they don't recognize you because you aren't local- they treat you just as nicely as they do the regulars and i've always been impressed by the assortment of things you can find. a true oasis of good food to look forward to returning to time and time again. read more

Absolute gem. Visited Port Townsend for three days- and went to the Farmstead three times! It had fantastic produce- quality and selection, especially given that it's January. The store was very well curated and had all kinds of local products, but never too much of any one thing, so you felt like you could truly shop for a meal here, and not just random extras. The baked goods were crazy good, not too sweet so you actually feel good after eating them. The rosemary shortbreads were just amazing. Staff was very friendly. read more

The Chimacum Corner Farmstand is a real gem of a store for the Tri-Area community. I grew up in the area and I actually know some of the purveyors of the store so I feel loyalty to them. They carry a well selected variety of wonderful local products including Finnriver cider and brandy and Shorts Family Farms beef, and Mt, Townsend Creamery cheeses to name a few. Being a farm stand, they carry fresh fruits and vegetables along with a variety of nonperishable items and dried goods. The store is small but they have a small eating area and they serve coffee and baked goods and soups. You could have a light lunch here and be completely satisfied. You can't do all your shopping here but you can certainly do some of it. Some of the prices are a bit high as you would imagine but a lot of them are actually quite reasonable. I would recommend the store to anyone in the area passing through! read more

Got a pint of organic blueberries, some organic filberts, salt n pepper cashews that are DELICIOUS (also organic), Organic banana chips, a ginger chew, and some coconut date chews ALL for UNDER nine dollars ($9) What a great corner store. We stopped in when we were passing by and saw a sign for fresh local raspberries. I was blown away by the amazing range of healthy food and groceries here. Great prices too, considering so much of it is organic and high-end. This is the kind of business that is a destination in its own right. It should be in the guidebooks! We always drive by on our way to Pt Townsend. Thankfully we stopped this evening-- what will be our first of many visits!! The rosemary scones at the checkout are a little slice of heaven!! Our only regret is not grabbing that bag full at the counter! We tried 11 pounds of local honeys, a variety of local jun and kombucha, fresh dried fruits, local salsas, and we ogled the gorgeous fresh produce!! We will always stop her from now on!! My brother and I topped by the Chimacum Corner Farmstand while on a drive from Seattle to Folks, WA in Feb 2011. It is a great pit stop between Kingston and Port Townsend but instead of the usual gas station junk, you get all natural, local treats. The building is brightly-colored and has a giant picture of chickens, so you can't miss it. These people are all about local food, but they still have a great selection from ice cream to fresh meat and cheese. The first time around we just got some muffins and coffee; on the way home we grabbed some grass-fed beef and fresh veggies. read more

I'll vote with the other reviewers -- five stars! Really friendly people, and a commitment to locally sourced, sustainable food at fair prices. Although I've moved from the area, I still proudly wear my favorite garment, a Farm Stand sweatshirt. The produce is terrific, and the selection of bulk foods is solid and fresh. Sundays during the season, the Chimacum farmers' market is right out the door. The place is bicycle friendly, and there's room to sit and enjoy some of the delicious baked goods or local ice cream and a cup of coffee. Oh dear God, now I'm missing the old neighborhood again. I've got to get out of California and back to the Quimper Peninsula. That this place even exists at this rural crossroads speaks volumes about the community. We put up with the one-hour-plus drive to visit the Chimacum Corner Farmstand because we love the setting, the produce, and the outstanding nursery; however, we were pretty bummed out yesterday at the way we were treated by "Sierra", when it came time to check out at the store's cash register. Rude, short-tempered, and sarcastic......absolutely NOT how customer's want to be treated! If that's what's on offer in Chimacum, we'll stay home and shop at Safeway! read more

I have been giving my business to this place for many years. There have been incidents along the way where some people took a very self entitled, nasty attitude towards me and or me with my significant other. Usually, I stop by on my way to Port Townsend. Mostly, this attitude was counter balanced with some very nice, interesting, intelligent people. This last weekend and the visit before that I was met with a couple of nasties. Separate occasions, different people. I will not be crossing their doorstep again. They don't even recognize their customers who have supported them over the years. Even if they don't recognize a customer you would think they would be courteous to a potential, new customer. I will miss the Thai peanut sandwiches and the apples. read more

GREAT "corner store"...they have a wide variety of healthy, delicious food and SNACKS. And, the vegetables are absolutely fresh...probably within hours of harvesting by local organic farmers.
