After a long day of travel, we were starting to get cranky, but needed to kill some time due to an unexpectedly delayed check-in time at our Airbnb. My Yelp research led me to the B & B Family Lavender Farm page and we decided to give it a shot. We arrived after 4 p.m. on a Wednesday and were the only guests on site. Despite the late hour and unplanned visit, Noah, one of the staff members, stopped what he was doing and gave us a free private tour. We had fun learning about lavender farming and the history of Sequim. We also enjoyed looking at the multitude of lavender-themed items in the farm's store. After our visit to Bruce and Bonnie's, we returned to our vehicle in much better spirits with some lavender chocolate and lavender-infused sugar from The Shoppe to sweeten the rest of our trip.

We visited in August and what a lovely tour we had! Inside as well as outside, even though it was late in the season. Since I was flying home I could only get a 2 ounce container of their sweet and soothing lotion. Used it up to the last drop! So I ordered a bigger dose online, got it promptly, and now I can smooth my way to a peaceful scent. Worth every penny, including shipping. Thanks B&B!

If you only visit one lavender farm during lavender season, visit this one. The owner is nice and gave us a nice overview of the area, explaining the difference between French and English lavender. The lavender fields are nicely labeled with the type of lavender as well. The gift shop has so many specialty with lavender from the farm, and the owner even demonstrated the equipment used to extract lavender to make their products (like essential oils, lavender cleaning products, etc are made). They have an area where they hang bushels and bushels of lavender, and you can buy dried or freshly picked lavender, but the best experience is going to the u-pick areas and cutting your own lavender (there's a lot of happy honeybees buzzing here but they are friendly).

I stopped by the farm during the lavender festival. The staff and owner were all exceptionally nice and knowledgeable. The tour was great! The fields smelled amazing.

We were in the area prior to the lavender being "in season". We took the tour and it was very informative. It was interesting grow, harvest and process lavender for various uses. The whole staff was friendly and we purchased a few products. We hope to come back when the lavender is blooming.

Lavender heaven. Definitely set aside 20 minutes to do a tour and see how they harvest lavender, learn about the different types, and the history of the place. It's free! Noah was a great host. We came to enjoy the gorgeous sunshine on our way back to Seattle and it didn't disappoint. The vegan lavender ice cream and lemon+lavender lemonade was delicious. Lots of lavender-themed gifts as well in the gift shop.

We stopped by this family-owned farm after visiting the Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge. I didn't know that lavender was so popular in Sequim and that there was a large number of lavender farms in the area but you learn new things everyday. Sequim is a great place to grow lavender because its microclimate is ideal; it doesn't rain much (15 inches per year) but still has the PNW climate of not-too-cold and not-too-hot. We walked into the shop where you can buy anything from essential oils, vegan lavender ice cream, to cookbooks utilizing lavender. We got a free tour from one of the workers who talked through the process of growing and picking lavender, hanging it up to dry, and processing it to distill into essential oils and food-ready items. The worker also told us about the annual lavender festival in July that gets super busy because people come from all over the state. We got to learn a lot about lavender, such as the fact that lavender lasts 10-15 years and all you need to do to get its aroma is give it a pinch. This was a super cool learning experience!

I only came here because I saw a sign advertisement on the highway. I'm so glad I decided to stop! My favorite color is purple. I loved being surrounded by that color. I was shocked and impressed by how many bees were working hard on pollenating the flowers. You can literally hear the buzz! The gift shop has every type of product made with lavender you could hope for. I highly recommend the lavender ice cream. I enjoyed eating the ice cream while walking the fields. The only thing that would have made this visit and experience better would have been if I had more time to stay for a tour of the farm and learn more about lavender. Tours are on the hour and 30 min. A last minute stop on the way out of town and it did not disappoint!

Such a fun spot to check out while on the way to Olympic National Farm. The employees were so helpful and kind. They offered us a free 15 minute tour where we were able to learn the process of how they pick the lavender and how certain products are made. The tour was educational and fun! We got to stick our hand in a Costco size bin full of dried lavender and got to learn the difference between French and English lavender. A good trick they taught, French lavender is usually turned into "fragrances" (remember F for F) and English lavender is for "edible" items (E for E). They have an abundance of lavender products in their gift shop. From soap, oil, dried lavender, to even lavender lemonade. All reasonable priced too. They also sell lavender plants. Even though it wasn't lavender season, I'm glad they are still open to the public. Probably one of the best things I did during my trip to Washington!

Precious family owned farm in Sequim, Wa! The gift shop selections were wonderful, service friendly, and lavender gorgeous and fragrant in full bloom! Definitely try the ice cream while you're there. This is worth the stop to visit!

Great place to stop and learn about lavender farms. They give free 15-min educational tour on lavender production and harvest. The staff are friendly and professional. It was an amazing experience - a great end from our week-ling trip. Their gift shop boasts a variety of options where their own lavender was used in making the products. Thank you B&B Farms.

Loved this place a ton !! It is a multigenerational farm with a free tour and a cute gift shop . The tour was led by Zion who explained to us all things lavender ( growth, varieties , processing etc ) . We got to sniff and touch various kinds of lavender and this was a fun experience. The gift shop had some lavender ice-cream and lemonade in addition to non perishable merchandise such as body care and home care items , eye pillows , dried flowers etc . The ice-cream was yummy and lavender forward . All and all I loved this place so much that I got little gifts for family !

    Lovely fields!

At 12 acres, this is currently the largest lavender farm in Sequim that is open to the public! You can freely roam the fields which are well-maintained and labeled with the names of each lavender species. I had no idea how many varieties there were! The lovely fields were made up of buds that ranged between light purples, deep purples and white. Be sure to go on one of their tours which run every 30 minutes. Our guide was so knowledgeable of all things lavender. We learned how to properly care for the plants, why Sequim provides optimal conditions for growing and which type is edible. She led us into the barn (it's 100 years old!) and informed us about how the lavender is dried and processed. We also got insight into the distilling of essential oils. This was a very educational 20-minute tour and then we went off to frolic in the fields. The staff was very kind, happy to answer guests' questions and welcomed everyone to explore the property. The lavender is split into a few different patches so you can spread out when taking photos and easily avoid capturing anyone in the background. They also lay black tarp over the dirt, so it wasn't dusty and you can sit in the middle of the fields without worrying about getting your clothes dirty. Finally, don't forget to browse their shop! They offer a variety of items including soaps, pillows, art, food and more. If you're passing through Sequim, definitely put B & B Family Farm on your list! Note: Visited during the week of July 11th.

It was completely wonderful! The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. We did offer for him to have lunch with us but he insisted on waiting so we could have some time to ourselves.
