I'm unable to make a full review as this business is moving. When we went in, they were mostly packed up. They had some items out, a smattering, and a clearance room in the back that consisted mainly of Christmas items. The biggest draw for us was that the business is/was located in an old bank building. They still have the old safes, which is very cool and worth the trip just for that. The store will be moving to a new location in Bremerton, and back to normal appearance there, I'm supposing. We didn't get anything. Seemed a bit pricey still. I'm not an antique-er but a small paperweight for 22 dollars seemed like a lot. read more

While there's admittedly not an overwhelming amount of engaging customer service, the space was really cool to explore. My husband and I both felt it had an almost museum feel to it (especially with the bank vault in the center of the store). We also thought pricing (at least on furniture pieces - which is what we were shopping) was reasonable. We didn't ultimately find what we were looking for on this trip, but we'd certainly stop-in again. Pro-Tip: Be careful navigating some of those narrow back halls. It almost feels like a "breakables" obstacle course in parts. read more

TOTALLY awesome Super nice stuff priced at reasonable prices, friendly employees great service

Just moved to Kitsap county and stopped by to shop for new home. The store is fairly large and has quite a bit. Took me about an hour to shop. Chatted with person at register. Although I didn't find what I was looking for, I'll probably check in every so often. read more

Yes they have a dog that 'greats' you, but it's old and friendly, and they have a sign up so its not a huge deal...unless you have a fear or allergies. The people were very friendly, so that was nice. I'd say it had an OK selection that Was Not priced to sell, very high prices! I would go back to look for the hell of it. read more

This store has a nice selection of furniture. Seems more curated than other antique stores I've been to - not as many cheap tchotchkes and gaudy souvenirs. A bit too many teacups and saucers though. The little dogs are cute and non-invasive. One greeted us at the door and then let us be. It doesn't bother me that there are animals, but it is unconventional. The prices are either very reasonable or too high. I didn't see much middle ground. What most sways my review toward three mediocre stars is the lack of customer service. The dog greeted us before the lady (I'm assuming she's the owner?) even acknowledged our presence. When we were ready to check out she didn't notice for like a minute, she was busy talking. She must be the scowling lady the other reviews mention. Not one smile. We wished her a good day. After a few seconds I thought we were being ignored but the other lady called out, "You too!" which spared us some awkwardness. There are plenty of other pleasant antique stores around here and in Seattle. With pleasant people. I probably won't be back. read more

Soooooo disappointing ! You are welcomed by 2 small barking dogs that get under your foot. Why, why do the owners feel their dogs need to be at the store. I literally had to shoo them out of the way with my foot. Then the worker thought it would be cute to make them bark the whole time I was there, little to say I left quickly. The items in the store are way over priced, and you have to fight with the dogs to even get around. Please people keep your pets at home where they belong! read more

My husband and I finally had the chance to stop in here this past weekend. Definitely glad we did. This place is huge! Literally rooms and rooms of antiques. The prices really aren't bad. There are a lot of great furniture pieces priced great. The owners were friendly enough, but they did have two dogs roaming around. They were friendly dogs, but it makes you wonder why they are roaming around an antique store. We will definitely return here :) read more

This is a great antique store and the owner/employees are top notch. The security pooches running around are small and very friendly. The previous poster obviously has a major chip on their shoulder. I frequent the store at least once a month and have found what I'm looking for on many an occasion. The prices are very fair. The quality of items there are top notch. If you're looking for quality and a good price, this is the store for you read more

The dogs are friendly. The staff...not so much. Was hoping to find some pieces for our new house but being scowled at coming in the door didn't encourage much browsing. I left. read more

The best antique store on the Peninsula. Sometimes very affordable, but it's not second-rate stock so sometimes an amazing piece of truly antique furniture costs a lot. If you're looking for something to treasure for a lifetime, rather than bargain hunting for junk, then this is your place. read more

I love this store. A lot of great selections spanning through out decades. Not your average antique store. I recommend at least a visit.

When I need a piece of furniture for myself, or if I am assisting a friend in finding something unique, Silverdale Antiques is my 'go to' place on the Peninsula. I have found the ladies that run the store to be helpful and pleasant. Although I live in Sequim and don't make it in very often, they always remember who I am. Since I'm an animal person, I am not in the least put off by the little dogs...in fact I like the fact that the proprietors keep the little dogs with them rather than leaving them home alone. I guess making such decisions is one of the perks of having your own business. The selection of merchandise enormous and the balance between furniture and unique housewares is excellent. The atmosphere is relaxed and I have never felt like I was being "watched." I like this store well enough that it is often my "destination" when I head to Silverdale. read more

We stopped in two weeks ago for the first time. What a delight. Great furniture and lots of everything from the inexpensive to top notch very expensive. The dogs are so sweet and the people were very nice. Best part of our trip that day. Can't wait to go back. I bought two framed needlepoint rose pictures for under $20. read more

I had a very unpleasant and unprofessional encounter this week with Mr. Dennis Housen of Silverdale Antiques, as he was moving out of another location in Seattle... I had begun to purchase place settings of china this month and when he brought his crew to move out, I approached him and said "I started buying the Spode"...with the intention of arranging to purchase it outright before it was packed and removed., approximately $1,000.00 worth by my rough calculation. Mr. Dennis Housen's response was to turn his back to me and say "well, I guess that's not my problem, is it?" When we interact with people, we can leave them for better or for worse. A gentleman might have responded in a different manner. Philip Anderson read more

This place smelled horrible, the second I walked in no one greeted me. They had 3 hideous dogs walking around depreciating the furniture, I wanted to buy an old hat with no price tag, the scowling old woman with shorter grey hair, demanded $20 for the hat, I asked 15, she didn't even blink an eye and said no right off the bat and proceeded to scowl at me and my mother. The experience was most unpleasant . I would not recommend giving this foul establishment your business. read more

I will never go to this shop EVER again the customer service is some of the worst I have ever had. I asked the older lady with grey and white hair a question and she acts like I was asking her to give me her soul and sends her daughter to help me because she was to busy sitting on the couch and then helps another person after I walk away later cutting me off walking past me. This lady was very rude, not friendly and had no manners. Her dog was more friendly then she was. The store was over priced for the antiques they have and the overall feeling of the store is not a happy place to shop. I will NEVER come back to this shop again. read more

This place left a lot to be desired. I guess if you have not been to many good antique shops this one may decieve you. The outside looks amazing and is very appealing. The bank vault inside is really cool. That is where the appeal stops. The staff was not friendly or knowledgable. The prices were not realistic. I have been to the mansions in New England and the stuff in their mansion store was priced for less, it was in far better shape, and I was told the history of the item. This store left me feeling like I would be better off going to a thrift shop because I could get the same stuff for a lot less. Silverdale Antiques, to me, is not an antique shop. Save your time and shop elsewhere. read more
