I'd like to say that this is my first time ever signing up with Yelp and leaving a review. Typically my husband does that for us. But this has me so upset for a very personal and disturbing reason. I feel I was discriminated against because of my poor eyesight due to my condition. Basically discrimination over a disability. This is serious. Just because I'm walking around, he has no idea what I'm going though. I'm fed up of being too nice, allowing myself to be a doormat. Yelp should let you give zero stars. This place doesn't deserve even one. The guy actually was very rude to me after I had just mentioned to him that I have vision problems. So I explain to him that it's due to a disability/chronic pain condition that I suffer from which worsens my eyesight at times. However, even my friend made the same mistake looking at the plates. So basically, I was discriminated against due to having a disability. I will be picking this up with the city and Okay. Still shaking as I just returned home from that place. But at least I can see I'm not the only one. Maybe I should've checked before going here. Do you always mock those with a disability?!? I was just in there with my friend and I had four small dessert plates. And I even showed them to my friend who saw the same price. When we got to the register where it was brighter and easier to see, I noticed there was smaller blue writing on the top and bottom of the big red "6". The gentleman (I assume he's the owner and if so his name is Bobbie Stewart) because I can't imagine any employee lasting with an attitude like that. He removed one price tag and started to do the others but I caught that there was additional writing. He basically chastised me for not knowing that the big red six indicated the merchant number. Telling me that all tags have the price on the top with the sale price on the bottom and the merchant number is in the middle. I explain to him that I had vision problems. He went on mumbling angrily at me. I was apologetic, telling him that I was sorry, I have a disability causing me chronic pain that worsens my eyesight at times. He remarked... Well it's easy! ... rolling his eyes at me. And my friend and I travel all over the Kitsap peninsula to antique shops looking for items for her business. And we document our travels on social media. Yesterday I received my loan for my own business and it will never be spent here. Not a dime. read more

Super cute antique store in downtown Port Townsend! The store is packed with two floors worth of wares ranging from movies, knick-knacks, clothing, kitchen goodies, and more. Because each spot is owned by someone different, the prices can fluctuate, so it's definitely worth making a lap around the whole store before committing as you just might find it a little cheaper a few feet away. The Antique Mall does a great job with COVID precautions by offering hand sanitizer, mask requirements, and social distancing. Because the store is pretty open space-wise, you're never really going to be on top of anyone when browsing. Just remember to clean your hands if you absolutely need to touch something. Definitely worth a stop, especially if you're already there for the farmers market next door. Plenty of parking in the area, just make sure to watch the signs for time limits. read more

Just moved into the neighborhood and was looking for pieces for our new home. What an amazing place! They have so many unique booths with everything you can imagine. My little one and I picked out some vintage art and this drop leaf table that she decided on. We were met with nothing but friendly employees and kindness. They helped me load my car and wrapped up the art nicely for me. We can't wait to come treasure hunting here again. Thank you ladies for your help! read more

there is so much stuff here! i could be in there for hours. i think the antiques they have range from absolutely beautiful to silly, and i love it. it's a fun day activity, and as someone who values history and vintage things, it's awesome! the workers are nice and will occasionally pass you by asking if you need something. i appreciate that! i also think the prices are moderately cheap, especially for what other antique stores are asking. it's overall a good place to spend a few hours looking for charming decor or vintage items. i love it and i will be back! read more

My family and I enjoy coming here to spend time reminiscing over toys of our childhood or even things that we saw in our grandma's house's. You will find stuff in this store from many generations some of it is really awesome to even set eyes on. Children should absolutely be supervised in this store as there are a lot of antiques and breakables. Our child loves coming here to check out the old kids toys and learn a few things, as some of those kitchen gadgets have to be explained two a quizzical child. There are so many items in here to for everybody of many generations to reminisce on and even purchase for your own home decor. We come here often enough to where the inventory is different each and every time we go through. Traditionally we will always pay an extra quarter to have that antique piano played. Sorry to the ladies who have to hear it constantly, perhaps next time I'll just pay extra to have it played LOL. I typically go home wishing I had bought something or enjoying whatever I purchased within the visit. And don't forget they have an upstairs! read more

The vendors in this place change rapidly, indicating they don't do well, but the mall continues on decade after decade, as renting mall booths and forcing the renters to run the shop themselves and turn over a percentage of their pitiable sales is a winner for landlords. There've been a couple times they had excellent vintage book sellers -- not just old and torn up rubbish that would be an insult to give to the Goodwill, but Victorian through 1930s books in very good condition -- and I'd drop in regularly to check for new arrivals, but then one day, gone, poof, replaced by some poor sap selling stuff such as glass animals from a Hallmark shop circa 1995, or from a dollar store last week marked up to five. I still enjoy it. But it's Ye Old Junky Shoppe, not antique. No amount of polish and dusting keeps the stock from looking like yard sale rejects of recent vintage, but the store is big; the people renting stalls quite varied, and you just never know. The things that could interest me if only they had any -- vintage iron wear, Victoriana, jazz era, old clocks, art nouveau, art deco -- forget it, not gonna happen. It's better stuff than beanie babies, but only just; more in the arena of reproduction signs and labels. Still, there are thousands upon thousands of pieces of gimcrackery, doodads, and geegaws, plus the rare possibility of a new vendor with good stuff who won't be there long, so check it out, just don't get your hopes high. read more

They have a vast selection of items that vendors pay to put into their store. My husband and I have purchased a few things from here and each time the women working have been rude and acted as if they didn't need our business. However some of that stuff has been there for months! They also do not take anyhing back so be sure to measure your walls and studs before purchasing. Also there are better stores in the area that sell almost the same items but are better quality, habe better customer service and have return policies and their prices are even a little cheaper. I do not recommend olde central antique mall to anyone. This will behey last trip to the olde central antique mall. Try the oatman girls, josephine's boutique or shabulicious right down the street. read more

This is a great antique store with fabulous customer service. I was looking for some blue mason jars and thought I should pop in just to look around. The staff greeted me immediately and asked if they could help me find anything. They helped me search all over the store until I had found three in different shapes and sizes. I'm an avid vintage shopper, so I was excited to find a new-to-me antique/vintage store. The store was well-maintained with friendly sales people. We were greeted upon entry and asked if we needed assistance several times during our shopping. I had a few specific items in mind before I arrived, and I was lucky enough to find several of the items in the shop. I left with 5 items, but I could have left with a lot more if I hadn't restrained myself. I will definitely be returning for a few more items. Parking was free and convenient on the street. read more

A month ago I bring my daughter into Port Orchard to show her where she and I use to go whenever we visited this area, she was only a baby up to the age of six when we use to visit. So I thought a jot down memory lane would be nice. As soon as we open the door to enter this place we get yelled at by this tall old woman telling us that my "service" dog, who clearly had his vest and id on, is not allowed unless I carry him. I am an asthmatic, diabetic with back and knee problems and she wants me to carry him. Yes of course she would have no way of knowing of my condition, but she didn't even bother asking, just one step inside the door and she's already yelling. It would have been decent to ask in a low voice, but she thought being hateful was the way to go and to humiliate me in front of the other shoppers. Furthermore, my service is highly trained and I have papers to prove I need him which I carry everywhere I go, which by law I do not even have to show, but because I have nothing to hide, had she asked I would have gladly shown her. This was the only shop on this entire block to do this, unfortunately for them, my daughter, who is grown now and successful likes to spend money, the other shops where very happy to welcome us and take her money. Olde Central Antique Mall, you need to learn some common decency . You don't like dogs, or people who need them for medical reasons, fine, but you really don't need to yell and humiliate. This place is always fun to go through. Some of the areas are very organized and definitely have a theme while others are hard to navigate... that makes it more fun for those who really like to look for their treasures. I've bought a few cool things from this store. Everyone has always been kind and we enjoy getting the old piano to play for our kids. read more
