So much stuff and for a great price! Just about everything you could need. I always leave with something.

I love you, Granny's Attic! I needed a pillow because I forgot to bring one, to camp (Camp Sealth), so we thought we would check Granny's. I didn't think we would find one, but we found a very nice pillow and a GROOVY pillow case. It was like a wish came true. We also went back the next day and found MORE stuff. As if that wasn't enough, we went back the next day and found even more treasures. I will say that each time we went back, it was like going to a brand new store. In addition, all the staff was super friendly, fast and efficient. By the 3rd time we came in, we felt like seasoned regular customers. This is a must-stop destination whenever you go to the Island. Each time you go, it's like a whole new experience. So, do yourself a favor and get yourself on over to Vashon and be sure to stop by Granny's Attic!! read more

Sis is a crazy antiquer, so everywhere we go, we head to the local thrift stores to see what they have. Sometimes you can find cool pottery or paintings or a hard to find DVD, or a Starbucks mug your missing from your collection, or cool furniture or clothes, so it's always worth it to look. Sis likes to find retro lamps that she'll buy for 10 bucks, then flip for $300 because she sells them on Facebook Marketplace with the name of the designer and the era it came from. She didn't find that here, but this was worth it for me because this place had Mad Magazines and Cracked Magazines. I didn't even know they still existed! That alone was worth the visit. read more

This little gem of a store has many finds from cloths to household ware. This is a must stop when I am on the island. I donate items here and buy items here. I have flipped art frames from this store. The volunteers who work here are helpful. A percentage of sales go back to the community to support individuals of need. Unfriendly, disrespectful and rude. I parked in the grocery store parking lot two spaces beyond the Granny's Attic no parking signs. A man from Granny's Attic named Matt yelled at me from across the lot, telling me I couldn't park there. He was strangely aggressive and scary. I'm from a small town, I'm not accustomed to behavior like this. Had some things to donate but will save my things for someone/somewhere else! read more

What a fun little store. I checked out the primary store first, which has a small selection of clothing and jewelry. I found a recent copy of National Geographic I wanted to read for $0.50. They had a genuine fur coat for about $50 (medium length coat) and it was fun to browse around. This store did smell a little odd, but nothing I couldn't generally ignore. Next I went up to the second store, which has a lot of toys, tools, pet stuff, garage stuff, sports things, and furniture. It had a lot of cool, funky stuff and I wished I wasn't going home on an airplane or I would have bought additional items. I found some cool photo props and neat, odd-ball toys. The women who tended my purchases were very friendly and cheerful. Granny's is open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Last thing - I like how they organize their books by genre - this makes it way easier to find a book you might actually want to buy and take home! read more

I was driving by when I saw this thrift store and it looked like it was busy so I went in to check it out and I must say I was impressed! They had some really cute stuff. Some prices were more reasonable than others but still very good for a thrift store. The staff was very nice and friendly! read more

This is one of my favorite thrift stores ever. When I come to the island to hang with my family it's an absolute must. Granny's is like a vortex that sucks in amazing stuff. I love vintage Fire King and Pyrex. I always find great pieces. The prices are very reasonable for most things, well actually dirt cheap. They have the occasional overpriced item but nothing like Goodwill. If you're in town I recommend it for sure. Note: check their hours. They aren't open every day read more

I should preface this review by saying I've only been here once, while visiting a friend on the island. She says there's always something new, the prices are fantastic and the money goes for a good cause, which makes Granny's a favorite on the island. Comparing it to other thrift stores, however, I wasn't impressed by the inventory or the prices. I found the selection to be uneven and, sprawling across two buildings and a lawn, not very extensive. I didn't find anything I wanted but enjoyed the browse even though it was a bit busy. They have a restroom which is always a plus in my book. read more

I spent an entire day organizing things into boxes to donate there and brought an entire truckload. Seriously, the truck was filled to the roof with really quality items (we were moving, and our son had grown up so all his almost-new baby/early childhood stuff was there, most very quality). When I pulled my truck in, the stoner hippie working the donations area wouldn't help me AT ALL. I mean, his truck was blocking the driveway and he refused to move it, and he wouldn't accept my donations unless I carried them up the driveway around his huge truck. He actually got angry and uppity about me even being there. I was dropping off REALLY quality stuff, things like a $1200 belini crib that was only 3 years old and a very nice oak beframe and tons of baby stuff, some of it unused and in the original boxes. I asked for help from another guy back there because I have a herniated disk in my back...he was at least a little more polite than the slacker hippie in the beanie, but it was pretty much the same story of no we won't move the truck or help you at all. Really a horrible experience. From now on, all my stuff is going to the dump. I am amazed this place is in business. read more

Grannie's is the center of my universe on Vashon. One of my favorite thrift stores in the world. Check out the fifty-cent rack of clothes that "don't sell" downstairs. Everything I own has a yellow Grannie's sticker on it! Great kitsch and a fine selection of Dirty Baby Toys! read more

You gotta go often to find the awesome deals, but I don't mind because it's an "experience."

This thrift store has been around FOREVER and the proceeds help support the health clinic on the island. It's very popular and you never know what you're going to find, from designer duds to 70's polyester. We used to make our Halloween costumes from stuff we found here and dressup week during Homecoming found hordes of teenagers combing the racks. There's much more than clothes here though - basically it's a continual garage sale under a roof, though as they say, if it isn't something you'd give to a friend you won't find it there. The quality is decent, the prices are great and it's definitely a treasure hunt. read more

The culture of Vashon really makes this place. People donate really great stuff, and it is a very popular shopping spot, so the merchandise turns over very quickly. On the few days they are open, people make it a point to come early to get the good stuff. There are two separate buildings; one with clothes, books, and dishes, the other has toys, tools, and furnishings. Both buildings are packed with great stuff in gently used condition. read more

What a great find. Have a local bring you here, It's only open certain days of the week/month and is kind of hard to find unless you know where your going. They open at 10am on saturdays and there was a line from the door to the parking lot (about 50 feet) My kids went crazy in the toy room. They had a good variety of gently used items that were very ridiculously low priced, and of course all the money goes to the hospital charity to help pay for those who need health care but don't have insurance (that's what was explained to me-sounds so great!) I know you'll have fun shopping here, I did! read more

Beware! Grannies is great for small items, but if you buy furniture there, they won't take it back. My daughter bought a sofa chair which had a slipcover over it, brought it home, the original chair had a bunch of stains on it, and Grannies wouldn't take it back.They told me if I still had the slipcover for it they could sell it, so obviously they would just hide the stains and sell it anyway. Another chair had frayed edges on the arms; i bought it anyway, and now they won't take that one back either. They have both been sitting in the garage for various reasons; now I'm moving and want to take back items I can't use anymore. My daughter has to learn how to examine things more thoroughly and I just got suckered. Let the buyer beware! read more
