No public restrooms. Okay but no need for the additude. My 3 year old needed to pee and seriously,…read morethere was no public bathroom within 2 blocks. Downtown Seattle seriously sucks about this! We also went to Chipotle, Target, and tried a lobby of a hotel. I'm surprised my kid was able to hold it so long! The items are also more in disarray than the usual Ross.

Buying waterproof shoes in Seattle, Washington…read more.. When I was walking in the dark to my niece's new apartment, I noticed that there were many puddles and some mud on the sidewalks. I didn't want wet shoes and socks, so I walked on the side of the road. It was still wet and slippery! Thinking that I needed rainboots or some better footwear, other than Sketchers, I searched for the nearest ROSS. Parking was challenging because this is Downtown. I did find a spot about a block away... eventually... after circling around three times or so... Like other reviews stated, there are Security personnel at the door and they do check receipts. I found the Women's Shoe Department easily and had a choice of olive green or black boots (which were $10 more than the olive pair and had a higher heel). I chose the more practical pair, paid, and asked the cashier to cut the tags off because I wanted to wear them immediately. Well, walking to the car was challenging because I got a bigger sized shoe. I walked back in my Sketchers and held the boots in my hand. I showed the Security personnel the boots and they let me grab a different size from the shelf and exchange the used boots for a smaller size. The clerk attached all of the tags back onto the larger sized boots and helped me remove the tags from the new pair. Yay! It all worked out and my feet are happy because they're warm and dry!

Shopping in Westwood Village, Seattle, Washington…read more.. I was on the other side of the shopping center and parked near Marshalls. After walking around one complex, I saw the blue familiar ROSS sign across the way - and was so happy because I needed to return something that I purchased yesterday. I asked the security guard at the door if I should return my item first or do it with a purchase. He said that either way is OK, but there was no line at the moment. I decided to look around and do the exchange later and at one time. I was looking for a shoe rack for my niece. However, I found some Labubu hair ties and went to the cashier. I told her that I wasn't able to find a shoe rack. Later on, the manager helped me find them - ah - they were unassembled... I was looking for already assembled ones. It makes sense to put it together at home so that it fits in the car easier. Thanks for your help! Mission accomplished!

The difference is the employees greet you immediately with a smile and acknowledge you throughout the shopping experience. Also, you can tell the Burien Ross is more successful because they have a lot more products and choices than the one in white center .

Shopping in Seattle, Washington…read more.. I really like Ross Dress for Less stores - especially on Tuesdays when there's a 10% discount! Just say "Tuesday Club" to the cashier if you're above the required age... haha! Located at the Ballard Blocks, park for free in the shared covered parking garage and go upstairs from Trader Joe's... how convenient! My niece needed a dish drainer. I needed a blanket. I also found a set of panda lights on clearance! I got a blue Stitch mug - also on clearance. My housewarming gift to my niece was a tiered shower caddy... LOL... I don't want to reach down to the body wash and shampoo on the floor of the shower! This was a fun experience! I caught the escalator down to my car - after walking up the stairs... I think the elevator wasn't working. I juggled my purchases without a shopping bag because I used my bag at Trader Joe's already!

Having been so accustomed to the large, ground level, department store version of Ross, this was a…read morereminder that not all locations are ever the same. First off, this Ross is located at the top of the escalator on the second floor of Ballard Blocks. Secondly, in order in to enter, one has to enter a scanner / screened at the door and then be let in by a security person. Thirdly, many common items are locked up and much of the browsing / perusing element gets lost. (#1) I was really hoping for some action from tent city faithful but missed out. The good news is that the store is clean and well organized. The furniture section isn't much to look at, nor is there much for electronics or men's clothing. It's not the biggest location but they've done a decent job keeping it well maintained. The staff was very kind and was very good about explaining and escorting folks to helping them find what they needed. Prices were the run of the mill with not too many deals to be found. Parking is available in the basement but street parking is also an option. ____________ (#1) A stark reminder that the West Coast doesn't play around.

If you've never been, they sell whatever big companies ordered too much of. There's different stuff each time. The organization isn't perfect and you may waste an hour because they have nothing you need, but sometimes you find gems, and if you're a standard size and just need some socks and water bowl for your dog, you'll find something. Prices are always good because that's the point. The store is clean by Ross standards, and most mess/disorganization is just customers rudely leaving things wherever. I've always been politely greeted when I go in and it sounds like other people are as well when I'm in there.

Really? That task is more important than customers waiting in line? 2- watched the Loss Prevention person visit with the person who was doing Returns while a woman ran out the door with a huge basket full of stolen things. What did the Loss Prevention person do? Walked over to the door and watched, then back to visiting. 3- after standing in line for literally 20 minutes and watching this, when I got to the cashier, I thanked her for being friendly and working so hard. I asked who the manager was & was told it was Jodi. I sat in my car for a minute and then called the store and asked to talk to Jodi, and was told that Jodi was shopping...which is fine. Jodi- I hope you got to stand in line for 30 mins and watch your staff from a customer's prospective. I will drive to Lacey and go to Marshalls before I ever step foot in your Ross store again.

Ross on 38th street is a place to look and browse for nice practical items or shop for gifts. This…read morearea is struggling a bit with homelessness and some people around there are kind of not exactly in a good mental shape due to mental issues or drug use. When coming here caution must be exercised carefully. I do not go without my husband. This Ross has saved us a great deal of money when we needed to put rugs down on our wood floors. We also needed clothes for my youngest son that is almost bigger than me. I can shop in children/teen section now that I lost considerable amount of weight. So I save a lot of money doing this. If you wear 0-2 in women then there is the trick. Shoes are difficult to find here but not impossible. It just requires patience and sometimes you have go a few times. Fragrances for men and women are hit and miss. But if you are patient you will find very popular ones like Polo, Burberry , Elizabeth Taylor, Cool Water and other brand names. You will save money compared to Mall prices. This is my place to get fragrances. The place has this portable talking security in the parking lot. It is a constant pre-recorded (in English and Spanish) message deterring delinquent activity in shopping plaza. And in store, we are greeted by security who must keep track of who is coming and leaving. They are very polite and professional. I actually feel safe with them there. My husband and I have made 15-20 time in there. Usually we do not linger in there too long. We know the "no public bathroom "drill and sorry it is the way it is now. Unfortunately customers have to suffer this especially children, elderly and those with disabilities. But safety is better. When shopping here, it is a good idea to bring strong reusable bags. Otherwise there is an $.08 charge for each bag. Again bring a few cute and strong bags. As I look at the situation and my shopping experience, it very good when we exercise common sense and be safe out there. Ross is a good place to shop and I will come back as I need certain items. I wish Ross could deliver . But that store is one of those places I already know what I want before I get inside. And we leave right away. Hahahaha
