Pretty great selection here for all sorts of occasions! This visit I went for beer and I was suggested to try the High Waters Brewing S'mores and Maple Pecan Pie flavors which were amazing. So apparently this is the only place to buy decent beer on this side of the bridges. So I figured I'd call and ask if they had a couple beers specifically that I wanted before I drive there. So I'm hosting a friendly get together with some friends, and everyone's supposed to bring a beer they haven't had before. I've heard good things about BevMo, so off I went. As soon as I walked in, an employee immediately asked if he could help me. It was still a bit early, so nobody was there yet. I told him my situation and asked for a recommendation for a hefeweizen . The guy who helped me admitted he wasn't a big hefe expert, but he was able to set me up with a decent honey wheat. It was about $9 for the six pack, so not bad. I move up to pay, and when I look behind the cashier, there it is. Leninade. I immediately ask for every bottle. The guy that helped me earlier goes to look for a six pack of that, but returns empty handed. So, upon purchasing the three bottles in the cooler, I had successfully purchased every bottle. Additionally, the front by the registers has a great selection of various sodas from smaller brands. Fans of The Root Beer Store will see a lot of familiar bottles. All in all, this place has a great selection paired with helpful staff. I'll be back soon. read more

Very rude and unorganized employees. My Fiancé and I went in to get wine for his mother. We were not asked for IDs upon entering the store, or when being helped. I went to go start the car while my fiancé checked out, and the girl who had helped us abruptly asked for my ID, which I did not have as I was not driving or purchasing anything. Upon telling her that I didn't have it, she took the wine from my fiancé and refused to serve him. I get that it's a liquor store, and there are protocols to be followed, but maybe ask for ID before letting people pick out what they are looking for? Just an idea. Having the opportunity to shop at stores like this is the reason Washington voters kicked the state out of the liquor business. Huge selection of spirits, (which are considerably cheaper than the grocery stores) accessories, beer, and wine. Along with all that they offer a nice selection of cheeses and mixers and even dabble in cigars. The store itself is bright and easy to navigate and the staff are very friendly and helpful. If you're anywhere near Silverdale there is absolutely no reason at all to go anywhere else for anything your liquor cabinet or home bar might need. read more

I went into BevMo to purchase a bottle of cold white wine. I didn't recognize any of the whites in their cold case so ended up grabbing one for $9.69. The cashier rang it up and said the total was $15.79 and I just about fell over. I told her the price was $9.69 and she said, yes, that's the price if you have a membership. Really?? I didn't have time to sign up because I was in a hurry but I can guarantee that I'll never be back. Also, the bottle was Bernard Griffin Chardonnay which is not worth more than $9 or $10. What a joke. I think they are missing the ticket. read more

First, I want to make clear--this rating is ONLY for the BevMo WEBSITE, the most terrible online ordering experience I've ever had. I shop at the Silverdale (WA) store and have had an account with BevMo for the past year, yet every time I search for and order wines online, it says I can conveniently pick them up at the Pleasanton (CA) store--a mere 1,000 miles south of where I live. (And yes, I've selected my local store, flushed my cache, and deleted cookies; don't blame this on me.) It also screws up actual in-store inventory counts, and the types of specials offered, so I eventually have to call for every order to make sure they have what I want. It's just a hot mess. VisionOne, the website developer, should be ashamed of their efforts, a FAIL of the first order. But BevMo management, what's your excuse for not resolving these problems? Clearly I'm not alone by the other reviews here. That said--I do appreciate the friendly in-store staff, the awesome selection, the great discounts, and user reviews of the wines, all great assets in their favor. 5 stars for what in the end matters most. ***** But as of this date, the current website has got-to-go. read more

I must disagree with the reviewer who commented that the selection here was poor. They must have arrived while the building was under construction. On the contrary, the inventory at BevMo provides an impressive variety of wines, beers and liquors, as well as snacks and carbonated beverages. If you intend to entertain, you'll find something for every taste here...from a great many countries. Prices are moderate to expensive, depending on your choices and your budget, but it's a great resource if you want an old standard or something very different. read more

i love bevmo. i'm pretty much guaranteed to find my favorite type of vodka (reyka) and other 'hard to find' spirits like canton, st germaine, pimms etc if you've been to one bevmo, you've pretty much been to them all, but on my trip to this particular bevmo, something magical happened. i was looking at the beer selection, and anytime i go in to a place that sells beer, the first thing i do is to see what beers they have from dogfish head. so i was scanning the shelves, and only saw the 90 minute ipa. defeated, i turned around, and there was a sales associate there. i asked him if they had any other dogfish beer aside from the 90 minute? he replied with "are you looking for 120?" UM YES. it turns out they didn't have any right at that moment, but it's a beer that they have been randomly getting in stock. if you are a fan of dogfish and have had the 120 minute ipa, you'll understand why this was so exciting ;) read more

GROWLERS..... best place hands down to get a growler refill. Usually never have to wait more than 3 minutes. Eric is very friendly and helpful. The prices are cheaper than Silver City or other on-site brewery sales. And if you don't want a full growler of some extravagant or special brew, they will even do half-growler fills for half-price! Win-Win. I would not recommend for individual beer sales, but growlers fills are best obtained here at BevMo. read more

I'm not much of a drinker, but when I first moved to the PNW last year, I went looking for a very specific beer. Nobody had it. Eventually I went to Bevmo, and they didn't have it either. The manager, Craig ordered it for me and called when it arrived. When I came back to pick it up, he helped me pick out a few good cigars to try, and suggested another beer I might also like that was similar to the one I ordered. His suggestions were spot on. I go by about once a week to grab one of the cigars I really like. This week I asked if there were any others he could recommend, and again, he suggested one I might like based on what I'd been smoking. He then helped me pick out a wine for my girlfriend. He even gave me background on the winery and what to expect as far as flavors go (I'm completely uneducated when it comes to wine). We were just BSing while he tried to find a chilled bottle for me, and I mentioned that my girlfriend and I were going to a restaurant for dinner. Since he couldn't find a chilled bottle, he offered to put it in the fridge for us and we could grab it after we were done. Since it was later in the evening, he told me that if they were closed, just to knock and he'd let me in. Overall, Craig the manager has been great every time I go in. I'm a big supporter of businesses that show their customers that they're valued. I don't spend a lot of money there, but I'm always treated well when I come in. Even though it's a bit of a drive and there are closer places to get cigars and wine, Bevmo will continue to get my business. read more

I can't say enough about both Eric and Craig the managers. Our daughter was getting married and we needed to buy wine for the occasion. Craig was an enourmous help. He let us try several wines prior to making our choice. He also recommended a Proseco that was not only delicious but also very afordable. Craig offered to house the purchases in the cooler for us. We bought the wine several months prior to the wedding and we were concerned about the temperature of the wine as the wedding was in August. Not only did he show us caring wonderful service he went out of his way to make sure we got the wine at the venue. In addition he called us during his vacation to assure us all would run smoothly. It was a wonderful experience working with Craig. when the wedding was over we had several cases left and Eric had no trouble allowing us to return the unopened bottles. In addition I am a Trippel beer drinker and Eric made several recommendations according to what he thought I would like. His recommendations are now part of our collections. When they are out of my favorite(one of Eric's recommendations) he always orders it and follows up with a phone call when it is. Bev Mo will have my business read more

After setting our purchase on the counter, the cashier asked for my husband's ID. My husband being the one paying for the purchase showed his ID. Then the cashier asked for mine. I didnt have mine on me, and I asked why I needed it, since I wasn't purchasing. I wasn't sure if it was store policy or what. He said, in a very demeaning way, "Uhhh, because this is a liquor store?" First of all, no kidding!!! Second, don't treat your customers like idiots, when you, yourself, don't know how to answer a simple question. I called later to speak to the store manager, and found out that it is a Washington state law to ID all who come into the store. THAT would have been a great answer, because we are actually new arrivals to Washington, and had never experienced that anywhere else we lived, NOR anywhere else in Washington where we purchased alcohol. We would have completely understood and simply said, "Got it. We'll be back with both IDs." Instead, because of how we were treated, we will never go back, and we'll be letting everyone else know how terrible the customer service is at BevMo in Silverdale Washington. read more
