I have kept getting large bills for delivery of propane from Blue Star. When I saw the bill via email on 2/13/25 that Blue Star was going to be charging $266.18 automatically (we have auto pay), I emailed and told them to stop service until this could be explained to me. Instead, they charged this amount and then in March 13 I received yet another bill for $444.82!! How can this be? It seems to me they would care to go over all this with me as requested, rather than simply just continuing to charge me automatically again and again. I trusted Acme when they owned the company, but I do note trust Blur Star.

It's been 2 months and numerous calls later and I'm still trying to clear up a delivery that was never made. I know this because they texted they were coming and never did (I work from home) and there was no door hang receipt. No Amerigas, our gauge is not broken. All you have to do is compare our delivery history to see that when we are at 20% with a 500 gallon tank, our fill to capacity is never 79 gallons. Our tank dropped below 20% and this is right before the holidays. I trusted them to come out to do a smaller fill of 100 gallons in the interim, which was delivered and a door receipt received. I paid for that. The call center will tell you what you want to hear and not resolve a damn thing, give you unrealistic resolution timeframes, say they'll call back with an update and then don't, send you to overdue stubs, and now I'm on hold for a resolution supervisor and I'm at 38 minutes. And Amerigas charges more than other propane companies per gallon. Peninsula Propane is fantastic!!

So I tried to create an account for him at my house and there system wouldn't take his address or the account number they listed on the bill? Then I called to pay over the automated phone system and it charged him $13.99 to use his credit card. That's an extra $27.00 on top of fuel charges. Not only is that taking advantage of everyone it's definitely elder abuse. DON'T EVER USE AMERIGAS unless you want to be taken advantage of.

They are pretty active sometimes when the demand is high so it pays to contact them before you are totally out of propane. My tank gauge reads pretty close to zero long before it actually runs out of propane. My tank has to be filled around every 10 to 11 months to always have enough propane and Ferrellgas has filled my tank every year. Cenex was never able to beat their price. Happy Customer.
