Avoid AmeriGas at ALL costs. The worst support call center I've ever dealt with. They are obviously outsourced over seas and probably a huge disconnect from other departments that actually need to clear up your issues, say, with billing. It's been 2 months and numerous calls later and I'm still trying to clear up a delivery that was never made. I know this because they texted they were coming and never did (I work from home) and there was no door hang receipt. No Amerigas, our gauge is not broken. All you have to do is compare our delivery history to see that when we are at 20% with a 500 gallon tank, our fill to capacity is never 79 gallons. Our tank dropped below 20% and this is right before the holidays. I trusted them to come out to do a smaller fill of 100 gallons in the interim, which was delivered and a door receipt received. I paid for that. The call center will tell you what you want to hear and not resolve a damn thing, give you unrealistic resolution timeframes, say they'll call back with an update and then don't, send you to overdue stubs, and now I'm on hold for a resolution supervisor and I'm at 38 minutes. First off they charge my dad $9.99 to call and order propane. The driver wouldn't take a payment so then they charged $2.99 to send him a bill in the mail. When we called they said you have to cerate an account so you can order and pay that way. Well my 85 year old father doesn't have a computer or good internet at his home. So I tried to create an account for him at my house and there system wouldn't take his address or the account number they listed on the bill? Then I called to pay over the automated phone system and it charged him $13.99 to use his credit card. That's an extra $27.00 on top of fuel charges. I purchased a propane Ray Pak swimming pool heater . I wish I didn't!! So i call Amerigas to get a 250 gallon propane tank , they set up for a guy to come out and survey my property for propane tank placement . $$$$$ they made delivery appointment forthe following Monday set up for delivery That appointment they missed so another week goes by finally they come with A. 120 gal tank i did not ask for .while delivering the tiny tank i didn't ask for they delivery guy backs his truck wheels up on my New installed Grass $1800 , ruined my front yard grass . Deep duel tire tracks And delivered 120 gal tiny tank i didnt ask for . Then i waited for it to get filled , week went by then 2 weeks . So i call them . I say to them " do you really think i want to lease a empty propane tank ???? Come fill this tank . So another week goes by 8 days a guys comes to fill the tank by now im in over $1,000 dollars with no propane and a tank i didnt order ,he fills the tank only 75 gal not 120 gal only 75 cost $235.00 My pool eater used that tiny tank up in 2 days running 24hrs a day I am so unhappy with this crappy company Im looking into a natural gas heater and firing Amerigas . I filed a complaint about ruining my grass 2 weeks ago they never called to apologize or to fix there damages Might just sue them , out of principle of it all . If i could give half a star I would. Ordered a propane delivery on 12/12/23, delivery window of 10 days per their site. No delivery, no phone call to day delay... started contacting them 12/26. They now have a call center in the Philippines that handles everything. Very polite people but completely useless. Can't give you a delivery window, can't say why there was a delay, can't say why you weren't contacted, just a call center who logs complaints. Still no delivery and no contact so have been speaking with phone center repeatedly trying to get it figured out. No luck. Finally put thru to a supervisor when I said I was lodging a complaint with Better Business Bureau and wanted our prepaid money refunded immediately so we could get delivery from another vendor. The supervisor was in the US, again very polite and promised to look into the problem and call me back. No return phone call, no confirmation of refund but suddenly i have a text stating expedited delivery will be here tomorrow. I called back and said No, we had already made other arrangements and I expected my refund today, returned to the account I prepaid with. Told well they send out a check for refunds and it takes up to 2 weeks. Told them that wasn't acceptable. Again would be complaining to BBB and was sent to a supervisor. That supervisor said she would get the refund sent back to my acct and I wouldn't have to wait but as of yet no refund had shown up. 8 phone calls, numerous online contacts and still not resolved. If I could give them no stars or even negative stars, I would. Not only is their call center a nightmare, I'm quoted different charges every time I call to get my bill sorted out. And, every time there has been a billing cycle, I have had to call because of a mistake or odd charge that comes out of nowhere. I finally had my service stopped and the tank picked up. I was quoted a fee of $150 or so as the final pick up charge and then I'd be free of them. Instead, I was invoiced the same odd charge twice and was told that one was the tank pick up fee and one was an early account closing fee. Also, the contents of the online invoices were " not available." They were willing to take that down to $100 but I'm not playing their game. The people who actually come out to do the work are awesome and I'm so sorry they have to deal with this. The person in customer service this morning was a bit rude but you almost can't blame him because he says that many of their customers are pushing back like I am. Nice work, Amerigas. They missed the subscribed delivery... we ran out of gas. Called and they said they would do an emergency fill within 24 hours. 24 hours passed without any service or update from them. I call and sit on hold for an hour and 20 minutes before their foreign call center operator picks up. She then places me on hold for 5 min before coming back and saying they would be out by 12:30. We reach someone who tells us we were not even in the schedule but he would have someone out today for sure.....now they are closed for the holiday and being NYE we can't even find a hotel. Never had an account with them. Never signed an easement. Got a call from my wife while at work today and was told a strange man was in our back yard, next to my bed room, where my wife was about to change clothes. No appointment was set up and this man from this company randomly came into our back yard and admitted he didn't even try to knock on the front door. I then tried to call this office to complain. I was dispatched to the Philippines where I was hung up on after being on hold for 30 mins. To rectify, here's what I'm gonna do. 1. File a complaint with Kitsap Chamber of commerce. 2. File a police report and try to file for trespassing. (If allowed but will definitely push for. I don't take trespassing lightly) 3. I will file a report with the better business bureau. I will also copy and paste this review to EVERY place reviews are written. This is an awful, unprofessional, law breaking company. Last time we filled this tank we called the local number talk to a sweet lady who took our order and had it delivered and we paid the invoice. This transaction was me placing that local phone call I thought was in town. I got a call center from out of the country. The representative for Amerigas read from a script. First of all they wanted me to prepay which I did begrudgingly and promised delivery in 7 to 10 days. After 2 weeks called again and promised the next day. I ended up calling them about 5 times and the call center Amerigas rep. actually lied every time. They just read from a script. The propane was delivered a month later. We're constantly running out of gas, customer service useless if you can even get someone on the line. I've tried to cancel my account and get my empty tank removed, so far unsuccessful. Local office no longer accepts walk in traffic. How bad can one company be? Hard to believe. They have had several attorneys general on the East Coast on their case. read more

Sadly I have to give one star though I would give none. Had an appointment to fill our tank and had a no show. My husband called several times just to be told they didn't know where the technician was and that they would reschedule even though my husband had taken a day off work to be there. Second time comes around and still no show, called several times just to be told to wait. Hoping third time would be the charm my husband took yet another day off work and they did not show and said they would be here and continue to wait. People, read the reviews!! I wish that I had. I set up an account and was told that I would get propane on Dec. 22. No show, no call, nothing on the 22nd. I called on the 23rd and eventually talked to somebody (not local), and was assured that my order would be prioritized and that I would get propane the next day. " Oh, and that the 22nd was actually the start of a window." That window eventually came and went, and I never heard from Amerigas. This is a terrible business. I am on their auto delivery plan. I was supposed to have a delivery in October which never arrived. Now it's December and I'm out of propane. I have no heat or hot water. They said I'm on their emergency delivery schedule and to expect a delivery within 24 hrs. It's been five days and they still haven't delivered. I called to inquire about a tank delivery and new service. I was routed to a national call center who informed me a safety inspection was required. I was told the Belfair office would call me back that week. Weeks later, no call back. We had to have someone else fill the tank. Without any communication from AmeriGas whatsoever, a technician randomly showed up in our driveway with a tank. We told him there had been a mistake and he drove away. A few weeks later, we received a bill for a $226.58 service call. WHAT?! Several 90+ minute calls on hold and I was hung up on. I think this is just due to the local office being closed because of COVID and probably isn't their fault, but I would definitely recommend going elsewhere for propane. read more

I bought a home several months ago that has an AmeriGas tank on the property. I called AmeriGas 3 times asking them to remove the tank. Each time I was routed to the Philippines, spoke to a "customer service" person, each time I was "PROMISED" that their service team would contact me to arrange for the removal of the tank, and each time they have broken their promise. Update on my AmeriGas. They agreed to charge me a discounted rate for the propane amerigas delivered after I had canceled my account. I got it for one dollar and some cents per gallon. The original charge was over three dollars per gallon. I still plan to move my account but I'm using The unexpected delivered propane. I have contacted Kitsap propane and have found them to be real people on the phone and most helpful In planning my move to their company.t read more

This is by far the WORST fuel company around! They charge outrageous prices and when you call to cancel they try to talk you into staying by smack talking other companies. They charge you to pick up your tank when you cancel (69.00) and then AGAIN a "pump out restocking charge" of $140! Such crooks. I will NEVER give them another penny. This location jerks people around on price!! we had been with them for years and since we didn't use alot of propane (we also have a wood stove)they constantly jerked us on price....in fact quoting $4.50 a gal this past Feb.....I cannot tell you how they DO NOT care about the customer...even down to picking up the tank!! we had to wait weeks. Price is a factor in this review but not the impetus for it. The service from this company is terrible. I had been with them for three years despite despite my unhappiness with them. They do not provide the service they promise and NEVER return your calls as promised. I finally became so frustrated by their lack of competency that I checked other propane companies and found out on top of the bad service I had been paying nearly twice what other companies were charging for propane. I have had them pull their tank and they couldn't even do that as agreed upon. Avoid this company. read more

Amerigas had a 5 star rating but given me the worse customer service of any company I have ever dealt with.   Although the company is listed as local, all phone calls are routed to the east coast.   I waited on hold for over an hour when I called.  Several times after waiting an hour and a half to two hours I was hung up on. I then had to call back to be put back on hold.   I was told multiple times that I would get a call back from someone and never recieved any call backs.  I was told I had an appointment to have no one show up.  You couldn't call to find out what was going on because it went to the east coast and they did not know what was happening local.  It took them over 2 wks longer than when they scheduled to complete the job.   Part of the delay was that there were code violations.  They have no one checking codes for the county where they are installing propane. I personally fixed one of the violations because I didn't trust them to correct it in a timely manner.   The result of these delays was that the company that was scheduled to put in my standby generator had to come back to complete their work.   We also lost power when we should have had the generator.  I am caring for my elderly mother and not having power makes it more difficult for her.  The company even sent me a satisfaction survey.   When I scored them as a 1, an email said a manger would contact me.  To date I still have not heard from them. read more

We recently bought a home in which previous owners had been using Amerigas so we continued with their service. The initial call to enroll went to either Houston or Southern Calif. We paid ~$200 for initial inspection and leak test and were told there were no leaks, didn't need a refill, were on an auto refill and would be back to fill when tank was down to 20 percent. Much to our surprise we ran out of gas two months later. We were told it would take up to 10 days or could pay another $200 for an expedited fill in two days. Driver shows up does a 10 percent fill, does a leak test that reveals a leak (another $200). He does his best to find leak but is unable to and refers us to call the company back After disconnecting and locking the tank. We do so and a very concerned women tells us we'll receive a call that evening to make an appointment to locate and repair leak. No call is received so we call Amerigas the next day which sends us to their call center in the Philippines. I get hung up on 3 times (making a real effort to not come off as the entitled, angry American), finally got a helpful young man who assured us we would get a call the next day from local service department. Of course, no call, called again getting ahold of very concerned woman said she would expedite a work order but wasn't convinced they would even search beyond a leak at the tank itself. Shocker that no call was received so we've had to hire a private contractor who will find and repair leak 5 days from now. We will be at least 2 weeks without gas for hot water, cooking and fireplace! We paid Amerigas nearly $600 for services and 12 gallons of propane while being abandoned. Needless to say we will find a new company once the leak is fixed. There are some good people who work for AmeriGas, but the company sucks! I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

AVOID AMERIGAS AT ALL COSTS!! Amerigas in Belfair is awful! They are dishonest thieves who's only interest is in gouging you for more money then their competitors. They are by far, the most expensive propane service in every way. About $1 more per gallon and $50 more in tank fees then their competitors. After changing companies (and saving significant money), Amerigas has left their tank sitting in my from yard FOR 2 MONTHS!!! We have made and they have broken 6 different appointments to come pick it up. When I called in to complain to the local office I GOT HUNG UP ON!! Amerigas will over charge you and then become complete DICKS when you get wise to their price gouging. I am glad I am no longer giving them my money. $3.60 per gallon? HA!
