Sub Station is a casual sub shop located at the Shoppes At Hooksett Landing plaza. Formerly named USA Subs, Sub Station offers a good variety of hot and cold subs including their steak & cheese, buffalo chicken, seafood salad, turkey club, French dip subs and many others. The subs are made fresh to order with choices of vegetables, cheese, garnishes and dressings on fresh baked sub rolls. Subs can be toasted at no additional charge. The subs are offered in 3 sizes, small ($4.49-$6.69), medium ($5.49-$8.69), and large ($6.49-$9.99). They offer Specials including the Large Meatball Sub and Large Ham & Cheese Sub for $5.99 each. They also offer salads, Utz bagged chips, Coke products in the cooler, whoopee pies, French fries, and kiddie combos. I stopped in at Sub Station recently and ordered a Large Ham & Cheese Sub ($5.99 plus tax), which was made to order quickly with my choice of fillings including lettuce, tomato, onions, black olives, green peppers, American cheese, mayo, and deli sliced ham on a 14" soft white sub roll. The older lady working behind the counter was very friendly and greeted me by name. The 14" Ham & Cheese Sub was very tasty and very filling. I also had a bag of potato chips to go with my sub, which I did not touch since the sub was enough food for dinner. I will be back and I will order a Large Meatball Sub next time!

Outside every 20 minutes. Pole smokers

Such a bummer that the employees come out front for their break and smoke. You have to walk through them and their smoke to get inside. Makes me not want to come inside.

We just stopped in Second Brook Bar and Grill for lunch to break up our travels. Located in a…read moresmall strip mall about 1/2 mile from Rt 93, Second brook is unassuming from the outside. The inside of the restaurant/bar is fun and comfortable, with a huge bar, sports banners and lots of TVs for game watching. We had the Blue Burger and the house specialtiy meatloaf. Both were excellent and a very good value. The meatloaf was two large slices of meatloaf, grilled to perfection. Garlic mashed potatoes gravy were delish. Service was good. We will be going back the next time we pass through Hookset.

Finding the parking lot? Easy.Finding the actual bar & grill? A full-blown scavenger hunt. At night there are ZERO lights, dark signage, and my only landmark was, "Ah yes... follow the sacred Guinness imagery on the front doors like a slightly tipsy pilgrim seeking barley and salvation." During daylight I'm sure it's obvious, but at night (especially in rain or snow) you're basically navigating by faith, GPS betrayal, and hopeful vibes. Staff was attentive, relaxed, and perfectly matched the laid-back local bar & grill energy. The kind of place where regulars probably have "their chair". I didn't catch our waitress's name, but she fully understood the assignment -- group of friends, multiple drinks, laughter escalating in volume -- we felt welcomed, never rushed, and were allowed to spiral socially at our own pace. It was trivia night (we did not participate because our confidence exceeds our actual trivia knowledge), but surrounding tables were living their competitive lives. The menu is... honestly a conversation starter. It's giving jack-of-all-trades comfort food chaos. Where else are you seeing shepherd's pie egg rolls casually coexisting with liver and onions like they negotiated a diplomatic treaty at the United Nations of Comfort Food? Naturally, curiosity and poor impulse control won, and the table ordered the shepherd's pie egg rolls. Because -- science. Drinks: * Beer drinkers were happy -- solid selection, zero complaints. Glasses remained suspiciously empty which tells me everything I need to know.* I ordered a French Martini which immediately turned into the community sample martini. Consensus: enjoyed by others. Personally? Ce n'est pas mon préféré. Growth is knowing when a martini is not your soulmate. C'est la vie! Food: * A couple of us ordered the pot pie -- good temperature, solid comfort vibes, but the crust was thin and a little chewy instead of crispy, flaky and and emotionally supportive. Slight emotional letdown because crispy crust is possibly a love language. * I'm normally anti-fish taco, but a friend loved them. I tried a bite and will admit... flaky, fresh, and not oily at all. Respect where respect is due. Overall:Comfortable local hangout energy, friendly service, interesting menu, but the nighttime invisibility cloak on the building nearly had me questioning my GPS and my eyesight and whether I had accidentally entered a secret speakeasy that requires password authentication. Would go back -- now that I know I'm looking for Guinness signs like they're ancient runes safely guiding me toward carbs and cocktails!

Hooksett Subway 1328 Hooksett Rd. July 6 1:15 pm I…read moresaw the new ad on TV which shows a man and two other guys staring admiringly through glass at what appears to be his first-born child. His "first" is an Applewood Pulled Pork Subway sandwich. Funny . . . but my experience today was anything but. After telling the girl I wanted the Applewood Pulled Pork sandwich I was asked what bread I wanted. I said"white", What size? "Foot-long". Heated? "Yes." The queries never seemed to end. "Do you want . . . " I've never had this sandwich before so I asked that the girl just make it the standard way. Then I asked for a FUZE fresh brewed black with lemon iced tea. [I had checked their web site before going & this was offered on that store's web site.] "We don't have that here. I can give you iced tea , but it will be warm." Thinking that was unusual I suggested the obvious, "Just add plenty of ice." With a negative shaking of her head she let me know she couldn't put ice in it. I gave up and ordered a large diet Coke. When I went to pay I was given an empty cup with the instructions to go "over there." I then said I would prefer to have the bottle I saw in the case. Again, I would have to go "over there." The sandwich was heated, , but the pork was not warm. I would rate it as just average. The friend I was with had a FUZE raspberry iced tea without ice which was his choice. When we got up to leave I wanted to dispose of our trash. Over "there" we saw what appeared to be two raised outhouse seats without signage. I put my trash in one of those holes. Strange that there was no signage for "recyclables" or even "trash". I'm sure the usual Subway clientele is used to the endless stream of questions and comes prepared with what they want. I also found out that there are printed brochures at Subway which explain "How To Order". As a newbie I don't really know what I want on this sandwich. For me this experience was SUB*** PAR.. # # #

Not somewhere anyone would want to eat. Second I placed an online pickup order, they didn't have the bread my wife ordered because they said it was frozen. So nothing was made. OK. Whatever. No big deal. These things happen I suppose. Then, I ordered an Elite chicken bacon ranch sandwich. This sandwich by default costs extra because it comes with double cheese. I also ordered double meat. They sent back both me and my wife's sandwich with the skimpiest amount of meat I have ever seen from any sandwich shop of my life. App bread. Almost no meat at all. And it also did not have the extra cheese. $16 dollars for a garbage sandwich of basically just over toasted bread since there was almost no meat on it. What a joke. They lost a customer for life, which is too bad for them because it's the closest sandwich shop to my house. Just go to Sub Station. Should have used my better judgement instead of going somewhere 2-3 minutes closer. You love and you learn . Just don't make the same mistake I did
