I've been eating here for years and up u til recently, maybe a few months ago. I believe it's under new management. Notbsure what's going on but the product has gone down hill. I understand rising prices, but at least give me my monies worth. In addition customer service has decreased as well. Visited Sub King for the second time. The first time was about 3 or 4 years ago, and I can't recall that experience. This time around, I ordered the turkey sandwich since I was in the mood for basic. My sandwich was good, but it was kind of soggy, plenty of mayo - which I don't really mind. I thought the quality of the turkey didn't seem like the very best, but wasn't expecting the very best either. The thing I didn't care for was how they topped the sandwich with (a lot) of diced onion, tomato and pickles! I didn't like the taste of the pickles and since there was so much of this topping, it seemed to overpower the sandwich. You can't beat the prices for the great quality taste of one of these sub sandwiches! They offer two size sandwiches. Regular(6") and Large(12"). My regular size today was more like 8"! To say the least they don't skimp like other sub sandwich places I've tried. The deli meats are great quality and savory. They offer toppings of: mayo, pickles, tomatoes and onion. I'm not the only one who has noticed the pickles they use. They have just the right amount of tang and they are chopped. Not sliced! It's ok. Very plain. Sandwiches are quite large. Bread was quite soft & tasted really fresh. Was not impressed with the pickles - were they pickles? Were they cucumbers that weren't quite pickles? I literally hate cucumbers but love me some pickles. I ordered pickles but they still tasted like cucumbers. Grrr. Kinda ruined the whole sandwiches because the juices of it was all over. To me, the sandwich was very very basic and bland. They don't carry cheddar cheese which sucks. Only american and that was an extra charge. I have been a customer here for almost 20 years. I have always loved this place and recommended SubKing to friends and outsiders saying it's " the king of the desert" when it comes to sandwiches. I know everything is more expensive and to run a small business is tough these days. I paid $15 for a 6 inch sub today and it was mostly bread with minimal meat and toppings. I hope things turn around here soon so locals continue to love this place.
