Inedible stems in my collard greens

Had high expectations for this place since it's a great American restaurant and the ribs at all their restaurants is delicious. However this falls so short of even decent bbq. There is no smoke in the pulled pork and very little on the brisket. The seasoning is also seriously lacking, everything needed more salt. The ribs were dry as well. The collard greens needed more seasoning and better prep, I got like 6 inedible stems in my $4 container. The Mac and cheese was fine, not bad but not great. The baked beans were the best part. Overall we were very disappointed.

Ecstatic I found a bbq spot near home! The pulled pork sandwich, fries, and corn bread (my fave) were all a hit. Staff was friendly and efficient. Can't wait to go back!

Real Texas style brisket, meaty ribs, fantastic sides. Cool atmosphere, tv's with sports on and a nice selection of beer to enjoy with the great Q. Staff there are great also, answered our questions and stopped by our table to make sure everything was great!

We have visited twice & ordered Thanksgiving for a family member although I was introduced when they catered a church lunch which really put them on my need to visit radar. Our visits were great, good food and amazing staff. The Thanksgiving option was a true blessing when we realized we had two parents who both had to stay at their respective homes and we would need to be separated. Thankfully we were visiting Stupid Good for the first time and saw the Thanksgiving option for a smaller group, such a blessing. In keeping with GAR tradition do not neglect the sides, fries, corn bread, & slaw were all memorably good. We enjoyed all the meat we have tried. Worth a visit. The venue is casual, think order at front, take number, & either have delivered or pick-up when number is called. Also great for take out or events. The staff is great, knowledgeable and helpful when assistance or advice is requested. We will be back.

Delicious BBQ. Great menu. And they serve beer, wine and spirits. The bbq was tender, meat fell off the bone. Great service and casual setting. I had ribs, brisket, collard greens - which were too vinegary, but tender nevertheless, and cornbread. Ordered a Jack and Ginger with a twist of lemon. Yummers!!! Can't wait to return!

Good BBQ spot. I went on a Friday night. It was after the dinner rush and most of the food was in warmer trays but still pretty good overall.

Service? Rude. I tried to give this place a try because the reviews are kind of mix. For the amount of money you pay the portions are small and they were out of every single meat option so if you are wanting BBQ meat, sorry you're lucked out.. It's only the options they have available for you. As for the meat itself it was tender, but the flavors are not there. Sadly you have to drench the sauces in the meat in order for it to actually be edible. The salad, sooo good. But guess what? On my third bite there was a whole 2 long pieces of hair that was swirling around the whole salad!!! Sigh, my appetite? Lost. Cornbread 4/5, greens? 4/5. Mac/cheese 3/5. Overall, i won't be back. The cashier was so hesitant to even give me a full refund for my salad. The salad was $18...like seriously? I came to feed my family and everything was just terrible.

Stupid Good BBQ is another great addition to the group of inspiring DMV smoked protein shops! Since it was my first time here, I tried their 2 proteins + 1 side combo with the choice brisket in chopped form and their smoked turkey plus the potato salad. The combo also includes a moist and tasteful corn bread square. The brisket was flavorful, moist and tender, and the smoked turkey had the right amount of smokiness and saltiness. I just wished the three slices of turkey were thicker or there was an additional 4th slice of turkey. As I stated earlier, I chose the potato salad as my side. It had the right amount of cook and the right amount of crunch, as well as a good cream texture and smooth taste over the whole salad. I would order this side again and again. Like a lot BBQ joints in the DMV, this place does counter ordering and counter pickup. I look forward to trying the pulled pork, pulled chicken and the jalapeno sausage at my next visits.

I saw this place on Instagram and figured Id come by. We walked in and the customer service was awesome. The cashier was very pleasant and offered us her opinion on which meats to chose. She recommended 4 types so we split the difference and overall got all 4. There were several tables and they were all clean. They offered booster chairs and high chairs for my 2 year old. We sat down and waited for our food which different take long. I ordered the Pulled Pork, Pulled Chicken and Brisket. This came with two sides (Fries and Collard Greens) along with cornbread. The pulled pork was good. The chicken was different. I wish I had more brisket. For $27 I believe this is a good deal overall. The Collard Greens could have been better. There was to much vinegar for me. The Fries were thick and rather tasteless. My wife ordered the Ribs, Pulled Pork and Brisket. Same comments on the pulled pork and Brisket. The ribs were seasoned well and delicious. The service got even better as there was a gentlemen that walked around and checked on us. Overall, this is a good spot in Springfield. I don't think they have many places like this. The food is ok. The service is great. Totally worth a try.

Impressed. Prices are not too high. Very much a millennial barbecue place, but at least its real barbecue. The cole slaw is wonky... not enough mayo, and they put mustard in it - so I was told. Walk up service, not table, which is strange because they ask for a tip. Pro forma Roll of paper towels at the table. Fountain drinks help yourself, I can't really find anything wrong with it. Nice place to get barbecue!

Customer service was good. The brisket was extremely fatty. I ordered 2 meats but was given mostly turkey. The turkey had a weird inedible taste and texture. Cornbread was okay.

Cold dreary Sunday after thanksgiving. Cute place!

They don't have discount for military, they don't have okra and they don't have Texas toast! That's my 3 complaints. The server was great and friendly. The food was good. I would suggest not wasting your money on the wagyu I believe the normal brisket is just as good.

Best BBQ option in the area at a decent price in an inflated economy. I've been here a few times now and each time is solid. The meats and sides are good in size and taste. I like how they serve beer and alcohol as some BBQ spots with similar setups didn't. The service is great and they bring out your trays. There is a variety of sauces at the table. I hope they maintain this quality. The front door is unmarked and hard to find though lol.

I've never heard of this spot before, and you typically will not find me in Springfield. However, a few of us made lunch plans this past Good Friday to take advantage of the $29.99 AYCE weekday lunch pricing. We got three rounds of beef brisket (chadol), one thin & thick pork belly (samgyupsal) each, and half an order of large intestine (daechang). The chadol was a little too fatty than I'd like, but it was high quality and comparable to non-AYCE options like Meokja Meokja. I didn't love the thin samgyupsal as much, but the thick version was so meaty and juicy. The intestines were a fatty treat, and I was good with just a couple bites. We had to ask for ssamjang and sesame oil for sauces, which they were generous with giving. Our server was pretty attentive, but we thought it was weird that he cooked the thin samgyupsal and the beef brisket at the same time. As for sides, we asked for lots of them (sadly our corn cheese never came). The fermented soybean stew was strong, but a bit too salty at the end. The egg bomb was fluffy and delicious. They also have ramen (aka shin ramen) which we enjoyed by adding several pieces of chadol and letting it soak in there to get that deep meaty flavor. I enjoyed the kimchi throughout the meal, which was the perfect "not quite fresh, but still crunchy" texture. Overall, we ate to our heart's content. I definitely would be back for more chadol, thick samgypsal, and a bit of daechang in the future. The $30 pricing is a steal for the amount of food we got, but I'd hesitate to pay for the $40 dinner price. I don't eat enough at AYCE spots to get my money's worth, so I would rather spend that $40 at a non-AYCE spot for higher quality cuts like galbi and rib tips.

They also offer butter and honey for your cornbread. It's a spacious restaurant and every table has napkin rolls/ sauces and they are very prompt cleaning tables. They have a nice semi-private side room for special occasions. This is a very appreciative restaurant towards military/police/ fire/ emergency medical response services. We had said we were going to get oxtail at some point, and saw that this place sold it. So we decided to meet up here one day. I was surprised to see that it was inside the mall's food court -- I have only ever seen one other place with this setup (RIP Ya Mon). You could either order with the staff directly or on their kiosk, I love options. My friend and I decided to share the oxtail platter with steamed cabbage and rice and peas. I was impressed... Easily the best Jamaican food I've had in VA so far. Oxtails were cooked and flavored just right -- I was missing my favorite coconut taste from the rice and peas but that's okay. Cabbage was great. I told my friend to try a beef patty in coco bread. It was within the last hour before they closed, so they were out of both of those things, so he just got a chicken patty. Unfortunately it was pretty doughy and I wouldn't recommend that, but that wasn't originally what we had intended for him to get anyway. Hey, if you are near Springfield Mall, you are in good hands. There is one more Caribbean spot in the area I need to try, but I don't think it's going to be as good as this one.
