This is our 2nd time at Stuffy's and this experience was not good. We were seated about 9:30 in the morning, Saturday April 8, 2017, in a booth near the hallway for the restroom. I don't remember our waitress' name, but she was the worst part of our experience. She was in her 30-40's, brown hair. Anyway, my boyfriend placed his order, "a reuben" is what he asked for. The waitress said something about sizes. Wow! We didn't know sandwiches came in different sizes. He at first said the largest size, i don't remember what she called it, but the other two sizes were small and little, I believe. She said "that's the size of a large pizza". My boyfriend said "wow! That's a big sandwich!" He ended up ordering the little. And while he was still commenting on the size of the "large pizza" sandwich I noticed the waitress looked at me as if to take my order. Totally ignoring what he was saying still about the largest sandwich. I thought that was rude. When our food came she put a plate of hashbrowns in front of my boyfriend. We could see a little bit of meat poking out from underneath. He just stared at it in disbelief. He said "I asked for the reuben." She said "You said reuben stuff". We have no idea what "reuben stuff" is! She unkindly asked if he wanted her to bring him the sandwich. I would have expected her to apologize and say she would bring out the correct item in a few minutes, not ask if he wanted something different. Of course he wants something different, this isn't what he ordered! On top of that, I had asked for ranch with my fries, and had to ask a 2nd time when it wasn't with my meal. My boyfriend's dad didn't get fries with his burger, but "they were on their way" half way into the meal he still hadn't received his fries and when another waitress came around to refill coffee he asked her for fries. Within a minute the fries were delivered. THAT was customer service. What this other lady delivered was not. Longview is halfway between our house and his parents house so it's a nice place to meet up with them. Perhaps she thought we were ordering breakfast since it was 9:30 in the morning, but we had left home at 6am and already had breakfast. After the rest of us ordered sandwich's she should have been clued in that he didn't want this "stuff" she assumed he ordered. read more

Called in for a to go order for a few of my co workers and myself. The lady that answered the phone didn't know the menu at all. It looked like she was actually a busser and did not tell me one of my orders wasn't available until I got there to pick up. While cashing out I could hear the servers in the kitchen area that is behind the cashiers desk using vulgar language and using the VERY offensive and derogatory "R" word. I understand the servers are young but that is just unacceptable and terribly offensive as well as having complete disregard of customers who are very well within earshot. Terrible and absolutely rude service. Took over an hour and a half to get two omelettes. Had to ask 4 servers before getting a drink and then it was served wrong. Place is filthy. Being hungry is far better than paying for crappy food and shitty service. read more

One of a kind. While visiting Longview this is a must. They are truly unique. They have great service. I ambiance is exquisite and nostalgic. Great food. Honestly get whatever you want and you will be satisfied. But the cinnamon rolls are amazing. read more

This little diner is AMAZING! Didi just waited on us and I'm pretty sure she could sell sand to a beach front property owner. I got the Dagwood sandwich at her recommendation and it was delicious. I'll definitely be back and will be getting dessert next time! read more

I remember when Stuffy's was in their old location and they would put out fantastic food. I don't know what happened when they moved into the old Elmer's location but it all went downhill from there. My husband and I ordered the exact same breakfast and it hit us both at the exact same time and we had to beeline it home for the bathroom. Not nice when I depended on the hubs to get me out of the car because I had just had knee replacement surgery. Never, never, never again will I eat at Stuffy's. Epic fail! read more

We love the food here! And we love coming here. The only thing is, both times we've been here in the last 2 months, we've had the same waitress and both times she seemed rude and always forgot about us. The first time it wasn't so bad but this last time was horrible. We sat there for almost 20 minutes before she came back to our table to take our order, and when she did she asked us if we were ready to order because there was another table that was already ready that she could get. This seemed incredibly rude to us, but we let her go to the other table even though we were ready. Then we had our orders taken after another 10 minutes and it took almost 30 minutes for us to get our food. It was a little bit busy, and I'd understand a few minutes but it took forever. Not only was this irritating, but she was also waitress to a table of people who got there after we did, and they got their food and were finished before we even got ours. Step back into the 1950s! I've only ever had breakfast hear but why change when you found the perfect thing. There isn't a better breakfast place around town. The cinnamon rolls are delicious and ordering the one that is the size of my car means you get a huge inside piece. We all know that's the only worth while part of a cinnamon roll. Nice throw back atmosphere. Great service with helpful server patient enough to explain basics to first-timers. Had to try "the gobb" which was absolutely wonderful and definitely a must try. That is of course unless you are feeling the 12 pound cinnamon roll or the 12 egg omelette ... In that case you might be a little full. My mother, her friend, and my younger sister all ate here for breakfast. My mom and her friend both had chicken fried steak and my younger sister had pancakes. After breakfast, my mom and her friend were both sick from eating there, I'll spare you the details, but it wasn't pretty. My mom called in and spoke to the manager, telling them that they both got sick from eating the chicken fried steak, who did not offer to try and make it right in any way. Like many of the other reviews of this place I do agree that the place can get really busy and the wait is awful. When my girlfriend and I ate here for the first time for breakfast, the place was so packed that we saw a couple stand up and leave. We even got our food first before a group of 5 guys who were there before us. Huh!? If you order from their denser part of the menu, expect a longer wait I guess. The food was alright. 2 stars... However, when I went alone, that was the deal breaker. Update: This place earns 1 star now because of the service I received when I was practically the only one there, ok, there were like 3 other people. I ordered steak medium-well with eggs and a side of pancakes. Keep in mind, I had just finished a killer lifting/cardio workout and was looking for a killer post workout meal. I was HUNGRY! It took them 45 minutes to get me my food!!! That is unacceptable being that they were neither packed nor slammed. I go here when my husband wants to eat here. The place is always hopping with people. The servers are nice and helpful, but there never seem to be enough for the amount of patrons. It is a greasy spoon type place, emphasis on the greasy, and the portions are huge. Everything tastes good except the sausage, which I find consistently gross. read more

One of my all time favorite places in town! The staff is wonderful and very friendly. Didi, Tanya, Jackie, Sam (a girl) and the last waitress we had was amazing! The only complaint I have is the same everywhere I go! It's the easiest thing in the world to make an overhard egg. I always explain how I want it. Ok, we have been here many times and this is my experience. The food is good, portions adequate, price is fine, service with a smile and all the staff always friendly, I like that. The last time we wen't the time it took for everything, was inexcusable. It was 17 minutes before the waiter took our order, and brought water. 45 minutes to get the food. That's an hour from when we sat down to get food. Really!? We will probably come back but sometimes you want a little quicker service. Huge place, tons of tables, maybe they need more staff? I bet they need a bigger kitchen. Plenty of places to eat, this just happens to be convenient for us, if we have the time. It would have been 5 Stars if the night manager had integrity. We stopped in this evening. The special was Prime Rib. The small one on the board was $12.95 so why not. We both ordered the small special. Midway through our wait the waitress came by apologizing that the price was $16.95 not $12.95. I said it was on the specials board for $12.95. She went to the manager he told her it was wrong. She came back and said she had managed to get 10% off but not the advertised price. Hmm..$15.25 is a far cry from $12.95 so no thanks. My wife then ordered a breakfast and I ordered a burger. The food was great, the atmosphere was great and the service was great but the night manager lacked integrity. Stuffys II, I don't even know what to say. I'm not necessarily disappointed, but I'm not blown away either. I ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer and they came out cold in the middle. I brought it to their attention and they fixed it, so I can't be upset. They have bottomless fries, but I didn't like them enough to ask for more. Just had breakfast here and it was pretty good. We got the unusual (Bfast burrito), standard eggs and hashbrowns and biscuits and gravy. The burrito was tasty and the hashbrowns are a must. The biscuits were dry and the gravy was cold so overall experience with that was ok. The waitresses are friendly and there is a lot to look at in this Elvis/Marilyn decorated diner. We came here in our way home from Cathlamet. I ordered the French Dip as that is always a safe choice. This sandwich came with a slice of Kraft singles. Gross. The dip and the meat had weird taste. Daughter in laws birthday, only here 2-3 times a year. This year mirrors last year and the years overall. Arrived at 9:30am. So far..... My decaf was served as tea. Corrected but then topped off with tea again, new decaf was brought out but took forever. Initially upon arrival we were warned they were 4 people short. Management problem or they just don't hire well. Last year upon arrival we were warned short on staff. Seemed weird. 10:41. One hour and 20 min 3 plates were delivered to our 8 people table. Also just now an upset patron asked for water, menus and some kind of service. 10:44 my plate just arrived. Overall my food was good except wasn't cooked to order. Didn't care I was too hungry by then. Too many people not enough servers. Cory the manage was the guy that put tea in my decaf. If you sit by the kitchen area you chair will be constantly bumped by servers. Servers are working hard over all. They do a good job. I feel lack of staff and poor overall service is sourced by inexperienced and or poor management. From friends and family they echo our experience. read more
