I asked for a Band-Aid in the front office, and was scoffed at. "We don't give customers bandaids. Do you think we're a Pharmacy?" I had to go to the emergency room, Had to get a tetanus shot, Had to go on antibiotics, missed two weeks of work, and now six weeks later have a lifelong scar. Extra Space storage? Their response has been "Lady go f$&k off." Even their employees (Look online) Say the worst part about their job is how aggressive they are towards customers. And there's a class Action suit against them for their bait and switch tactics. Not "good" Mormons who run this Utah corp! I need a good personal injury / property negligenc Lawyer. These assholes don't deserve your business. They run a dangerous facility and are corporate abusers of consumers. Google " Extra Space storage class action lawsuits" because there are many.

    Updating to 1 star. I can't count all the reasons this place is complete trash…read more 1) as a policy, they don't waive late fees. I had a late fee because my previous card had fraudulent activity on it and needed to be cancelled. Replacing it caused me to be late in updating my payment info. Requested a waiver of the late fee and they told me to fuck myself. 2) as soon as they lock you into a contract, they raise the rent of your unit automatically by $70 on month 3 and then increase it $60 PER MONTH, every 3 months thereafter. The increase has no relation to increased rents or anything. So why do they have this built-in quarterly increase? Because fuck you, that's why. What are you going to do, go move all your stuff to another facility? Reread all that because it's not a joke. $70 rent increase at month 3. $60 increase thereafter every 6 months. For literally no reason other than they can. 3) if you stay 30 seconds after closing (I stayed 4 mins because I lost track of time) you are locked in. You can't get out nor can you contact anyone to let you out. You're stuck. Not only that, they'll contact you the next day to yell at you about it and tell you that they will remove your in and out privileges and require that you be accompanied by a chaperone to enter and exit. Completely bananas. 4) they have thefts here ALL the time. All the time. You think the facility is safe. It is not. Honestly the worst storage facility I've ever used and I cannot emphasize that enough.

    I used this storage facility for about a year and a half, and the experience was overall…read moredisappointing. I wanted to support a local business at the time hence why I selected this facility. I wanted to make my experiences public to warn others about this business. I found that the door right outside my unit was almost always never locked (the one before the access to my personal unit) and sometimes the front door to the building was wide open. There was trash inside and around my unit from the start (and consistently around in general), and the smell of mildew and marijuana was a constant issue. Carts are not available even after a mention of getting one cheap one (and because they will raise your rent every year with no amenities whatsoever). Communication overall was extremely poor - it took weeks just to get the light in my unit fixed. When I would physically go to the office, 50% of the time there was no one present during regular business hours to address my issues. It appears that the point person Misty is constantly frazzled and the job's responsibilities from her management company is either too overwhelming to handle or she isn't the best person for this job. When I asked about a refund for the eight months of unused portion of my annual payment (because I had moved further away), I learned that they do not offer refunds. There was nothing in the contract stating that unused time for annual payments were nonrefundable. I didn't agree to terms that weren't mentioned to me at all in any way. I offered a 20% "early cancellation fee" from the remaining unused rent owed to me. I attempted three times to end the relationship quickly, fairly, and amicably, but Misty and her management company refused by not responding or reiterating the contract that had no mention of annual term leases in any way. lt's a shame that businesses like this actively choose to go the route through small claims court and negative reviews than to do what's right. In this case, it came down to $665.60 (with the 20% deduction I offered) so you can get a sense of how this business operates. I would not recommend this facility/business based on my experience unless your expectations of a storage unit is at a bare, bare minimum.

    Jessica is an amazing host…read more She is friendly, helpful, and organized. Jessica takes much pride in her work and it shows through in the way she treats her customers. She is very attentive and can accurately discern her customers needs. She knows the business well and cleared up all my questions upon the first visit. This was my first time setting up a storage unit. I'm fairly against putting anything into storage. If you don't use it then why do you own it? They couldn't guarantee a smaller unit but they've called me to confirm my appointment almost every day. Each time I asked to make sure they had the smaller unit because I'm not going to take time off from work to make the appointment. Of course I take time from my work to make an appointment and of course they don't have any available units. What a waste of time. Way to inconvenience your customers, Public Storage. On top of all that, the lady in the front office had zero customer service skills and was speaking to me in a condescending way. I don't know if this is the type of experience others are receiving but for those I can only imagine what those who have truly fallen on hard times are experiencing when encountering this type of customer service.
