Studio Three is the reason I love working out and got back into a fitness routine after the new year! I've been a member for 6 months and have gotten stronger while having fun doing it. The instructors are top notch and take time to get to know you and keep you motivated each day! Can't recommend this place enough!! read more

I can't say enough great things about Studio Three! I have tried nearly every workout studio/group fitness class in Chicago and this has been the only place I have consistently gone too and always enjoy it! I've been going 4+ times a week for 6 months now, and it's still what I look forward to doing each day. The biggest difference between everywhere else in Chicago and Studio Three, is how friendly and welcoming everyone is. The instructors are all incredible! Each of them have their own style and I really enjoy getting to switch it up. You can tell they all truly care about their classes and the students that take them! Yoga, Interval, and Cycling are all great! I love the yoga strength classes (3x3 and Hi Def) the most. The staff are always so friendly and helpful too. I love that they provide yoga mats and towels, it makes getting there so much easier! All of the locations are great too and very clean! Overall, I truly can't recommend others to try out Studio Three enough!! read more

Best workout studio in chicago. I've tried them all and Studio Three offers the best range of classes.

The best staff, the best classes, the best facilities! They have tons of options for class times! The environment is inviting and upbeat! Try a class out! read more

I want to update my review now that I have tried *almost every single class they offer... Still hands down the best gym studio I have ever attended. The place is immaculate, spacious, and the instructors are upbeat, energetic, and friendly. They encourage you to push yourself every class, but are respectful of your limits and abilities at the same time. Everytime I come here, the staff are constantly cleaning the locker rooms, floors, everything after each class. I haven't yet encountered a single rude or inconsiderate person here, either staff or customer. Cycling: I have attended a few different cycling studios in Chicago. None compare to the studio here at Studio Three. The layout is similar to an amphitheater, and there is plenty of space between bikes where you're not piled on top of each other. The lights and music keep you motivated, and kinda gives off a club vibe, which I Iove! And the bikes are the smoothest ride you'll ever have. They did right using Peloton bikes. You can keep track of your cadence and resistance during the ride so you know you're getting the most from your workout. Plus spin shoes are offered at no additional cost! Yoga: They offer so many different classes in the yoga studio in addition to just yoga, but my favorite will be Hi-Def. It combines yoga and strength training in a 45 minute class that will leave you sore and energized at the end. And in classes that are at capacity, everyone is mindful of their space and the space around them, so I never had to fear accidently hitting someone or vice versa. Plus, yoga mats, bricks, and bands are offered to you at no additional cost! And they use Manduka mats, which are some of the best quality mats you can find. Torch: I've only been to one interval class, and I had a blast. The instructor was more than happy to help me out with the rower since I told her this was my first interval class. The class was was fast paced, and pushes you to your max. My only gripe with Studio Three is that it's located in River North, which is nowhere near where I live (O'Hare). I would more than love to get a membership here, but the distance is whats putting me off. I definitely would recommend this studio to anyone. read more

A premium gym experience that makes you feel so accomplished. I discovered their Torch classes on ClassPass and I'm addicted. It's 60 minutes, blood-pumping music, three rotations on weights, treadmill, and rowers. I'm guaranteed to be exhausted but there's such a high and thrill that follows. Great amenities -- showers, a lot of products for the ladies, free towels (don't you hate it when you pay for towels especially when you're paying $20+ for a class?). Good staff, good vibes. read more

I've been coming to S3 in Lincoln Park for over a year and I love it! The instructors and staff are extremely friendly and everything is always clean. What I love the most is how each instructor adds their own flare to every class, I always get a great workout in! read more

This studio has all the bells and whistles from the bikes to the sound system and lightning :) Sayre is a wonderful cycle instructor, she has great positive energy and you can tell she cares about /likes what she does. read more

I've tried the 3x3 (total body weight training) and Hidef (mix of Pilates and weights) classes and loved them both! The room is slightly heated which is great for some extra burn. All of the trainers are super helpful as well! There is tons of room to spread out if you take their classes around noon. read more

I love Studio Three, and I've been an unlimited member for the last year. I love the variety of classes and that I can take more than one in a day if I want to. I love that the instructors take a more encouraging approach and always remind you to do what's best for your body instead of telling you exactly how to approach everything. Colleen is my favorite instructor. She teaches both yoga and interval classes, and she always gives amazing tips on how to have proper form and also small tweaks you make to ensure you're feeling the exercises in the right way. read more

I love studio three so much!! Every class, every instructor, and all the people are amazing!

Love this studio and instructors! They offer classes all times through the day and love the variety of classes you are able to take as well.

Great mix of classes, even better mix of instructors!!! They offer classes for all fitness levels and foster a super inclusive community.

Love Studio 3! I have been coming here for a little over two years and love the variety of classes, instructors and time options. Class rooms are clean and workers are friendly and they provide mats, towels, bands, cycle shoes, etc! read more

I started going to S3 beginning of this year and haven't looked back since. I struggled with having a consistent workout routine previously because of my unpredictable work schedule but S3 offers super convenient times. All three Chicago locations are very well maintained, and the staff is so accommodating. Highly recommend getting the One Week Unlimited to try out the different formats and find what works best for you. Wes is my go-to instructor for 3x3, hi def, and interval -- he keeps it straight-forward but still challenging. Class with him is always a good time! For heated flow, Kimberly is amazing! read more

Went to a class using class pass. Way too over booked. Could hardly have any space to put down my yoga mat. I was brushing against the brick wall the hole time. It would have been a great class if they would limit the number of people. read more

I cannot say enough good things about studio three! I've been a member for a little over 2 years now and ive gotten several of my friends to join as well. s3 stands out from other boutique fitness classes I've taken because of their emphasis on form rather than going through moves quickly. I feel like my form has significantly improved. they have a great variety of instructors with different teaching styles and amazing playlists - it's never stale. I always leave feeling amazing and it's often the highlight of my day! read more

Studio three offers the most class times, locations, and instructors than any other gym I have been apart of in the city! Never did I think I would enjoy taking two classes in one day before joining such a great community! read more

I took the HI DEF 45 class via classpass and loved it. It was a heated class that used weights and resistance bands. I had done heated yoga classes with weights but not resistance bands. I hate cycling so I'm passing on their spin classes but I would like to check out their cardio classes. Likes - challenging class; probably one of the hardest heated classes I've ever taken in my life...I was definitely sore for a few days. - provided mats - instructor on a mic Dislikes - as a first timer, I didn't realize checkin and the class was upstairs. I had gone to the cycling class desk - insanely packed room - not tons of help picking the appropriate weights or bands - didn't see the instructor correct people's form read more

My FIRST, $1.75-ish LIMITLESS drip coffee that is slightly citrusy/tangy. Coconut milk or soy is offered. Impressive tap dispensers for coffee and tea [barista not needed]. Glass VENUE that seriously brings the light with outside-in concept. Usually an eco concept to minimize electricity usage, yet expensive track lighting and all lights are on. :-( No LEED certification here. Friendly. Helpful. Clean. Organize. I look forward to Vanilla Nitro. read more

Studio Three is a really rockin' gym in Chicago. They offer three distinct classes: hot yoga, Torch, which is a bootcamp style circuit class, and cycling. It's setup on three different levels, so overall, pretty easy to navigate and can hold a lot of folks at one time without you even realizing. Booking online was a cinch on Sunday evening for the entire week I was in town. It was also easy to make changes and cancellations throughout the week without incurring a fee (unless it's less than 12 hours before). I did both yoga and Torch classes, but am not a big spinner. Each was intense in its own way. The yoga class was thankfully not so hot on this particular day (something about the air not working), but I was appreciative of that as I'm not in love with hot yoga and still managed to work up a sweat. The Torch class was very similar to Orangetheory or Barry's Bootcamp, if you're familiar. I did this two days in a row with two different instructors. Each had their own style and each kicked my butt in a MAJOR way. Props for that! There are plenty of bathrooms, towels, showers, water fountains, etc. There is even a cafe at the entrance for some post workout fuel. In my mind, the only thing missing was a barre class. But then there would be four different classes and then they would probably have to rename it Studio Four, add on another level and... Yeah, let's just keep it as is. read more

This place is intense. If you're looking for a workout to kick your butt, you've come to the right place. The facilities are beautiful with a shower and a cafe (that serves Bulletproof coffee, smoothies, etc). I came for two back to back 6am yoga classes. The first class was not really my style, even though they were advertised as the same class. It was a little too focused on moving quickly and less so on the mindfulness aspect of yoga. It might be your jam, but it wasn't for me. Sui Wen taught the intense one. A lot of people love the class, but I just prefer yoga where the style isn't "stretch as far as you can go," but more "find what works for you" with more alternatives offered. The second class I went to (it was a Thursday morning) was exactly like that and it was perfect. The classes can be scheduled online and the people working the desks are super nice for it being 6am. Definitely a great workout spot! read more

Let me preface this by saying, I am not a spin fan. It's less about spin and more about my lack of endurance and love for comfy seats, but I thoroughly enjoyed my last class at Studio Three- Cycle 45. This was my first time using Classpass, so I found the receptionist to be incredibly helpful and friendly. They showed me how the studio is set up, where to go to change, restrooms and how future classes would look using Classpass. The studio was clean and the other work out folks were diverse in the way of different shapes, sizes and genders. I had Emily as my instructor and boy was she high energy and fun. I appreciated how she didn't put too much pressure to keep up with the resistance and she gave us 4ish minutes towards the end to do our own thing with the lights out. That gave me the opportunity to push myself in the dark, so there was no judgment, ha. The music was loud and an awesome selection, that really made you want to dance. They have staff that helps you set up your bike and I was glad a neighbor was nice enough to show me how to unclip my shoes (they snap in). I would say the only downfall was, I am very affected by smell. Bikes are very close to one another, so if you have a real sweater beside you, you might experience different scents. There is a fan that circulates and every so often you get a breeze of said scents. I guess we are all there to sweat and I should be focused on the workout, but my nose is powerful. All and all, great place and will be back! read more

I will be the first to admit that I have commitment issues. With where I live, who I date, my career, and of course my fitness routine. That's why class pass was always such a treat for me from the moment it blossomed into my life. I could take classes all around the country for $100 per month and not have to commit to a gym or studio. Then something changed. I'm not sure if it was a sign of maturity or that class pass both increased their prices and got rid of the unlimited class option but something was different. I felt as though I was ready for a committed fitness relationship but it needed to be with the right studio. Equinox was always a consideration. They have great classes and all. But honestly who feels like being locked into $190 + per month. As someone who is always on the road I needed flexibility. When I am on the road I have gym but when I am home I care about 3 things. Bootcamp + Hot Yoga + Spin. Studio 3 meets and surpasses my needs. Not only do they have those three things I adore, but their spin studio has peloton bikes (easily the best most competitive spin class bike I have used). I love class with Dani (First Fridays are a straght 45 min of peddling and hauling ass) and Sayre. Studio Three also has Sue. I cant even call out the class alone because the instructor makes the class. She teaches a class called Inferno. I figured it to be a hot yoga class that would give me a nice saturday AM boost after a spin class. NOPE!!! I It is the toughest, hardest, tear your body up class ever. Especially after doing a class right before. And you want to complain about Sue shouting orders at you but she is in there doing ever single work out while she is shouting. She is an absolute legend. Think hot yoga meets tabata meets bootcamp with burpees. Yes folks. Burpees in a hot yoga room. Hydrate and be prepared to work. You will walk out feeling like both a million bucks and punching bag at the same time. This is the hardest class I have done in Chicago. The only harder class I have taken is tone house in NYC (refer to that review of death if you choose). There is also a killer juice bar up front. I've only gotten shakes. They are pretty dope. read more

Studio three is an amazing gym, it has by far the best classes in the city, and the locker room is so much better than anywhere else you will find. I especially like the spin classes because the peloton bikes are really smooth riding and ALL digital. It's really easy to follow along in class and the ride is so smooth. I find that this spin class is much harder than most, and you actually can follow along on the resistance/rpm because it's right in front of you and the instructor gives you direction. I'm too much of a spin newbie to base resistance and rpm all on a feeling. I usually end up with lower resistance than I should have in most classes, but not here! TORCH is so difficult, I hate it so much because it is so hard but I have to force myself to go. It's very similar to Shred and orange theory. For the price you pay for all three classes here, it's so much more worth it to come to studio three than to pay the same for just one type of class at another studio. I have yet to take a yoga class but I heard they are great. The only things I wish studio three had: barre classes and a steam room! I think they could easily do barre classes in the yoga studio! If they offered barre they would attract a lot more people because this is the one reason I was hesitant to buy a membership. You can pay less at East Bank Club for a lot more amenities and a pool, but the classes here are so so so much better that it made me go with studio three. I'd still love a pool though :) read more

Studio Three - Yoga Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

This would be my go to studio...if I lived in Chicago. Three cheers for a great guest experience during a recent work trip and three cheers for the exercise options found at this location: yoga, spin and Pilates/crossfit-esque classes. As others have noted, Studio Three is very clean- from the bikes and lockers to the showers and locker room found on the second floor. My personal experience was with the spin classes. I appreciated the power meters on the bikes, provided shoes, amphitheater layout, easy bike booking process and music selections. As others have noted, you'll find a coffee and juice bar at the entrance. Based on my schedule perusing, it looks like they offer ongoing fun themed nights. All in all, I'm thankful for my 45 minute ass whoopin' and that this studio is a ten to fifteen minute walk from the Merchandise Mart. read more

I've been going to Studio Three on and off for a couple years. It really is a great place to work out. The staff is so attentive and nice. It's pricey but you get what you pay for. And I'd rather pay more for a near-perfect maintained facility and equipment, the best instructors (each and every one offers their own unique motivation) and convenient class times. I rejoined again last week after being gone a number of months. I was scared starting back because I'm out of shape...and twice the age as most of the people. My first class back was a Peloton class and I literally teared up a little because of the energy from everyone in the room and I forgot how much I loved that. The way the lighting is controlled, no one is paying attention to anyone else. It's you, the instructor and everyone's energy. Today, I took my first interval class. It was the 4:30 pm with Andrea W. This class intimidates me because I'm not a great runner and I haven't lifted weights or done a push-up in MONTHS. The instant Andrea opened the door, welcoming everyone individually, I was instantly put at ease. And throughout the class I felt grateful because she was extremely motivating yet all-inclusive so I didn't at all regret being there. The class flew by. And, afterwards, she made everyone feel so empowered. She's amazing. For anyone like me in their 40's (soon to be 50's), don't let anything intimidate you from joining. I actually really like being around all the youthful energy. And the instructors are great about showing different levels of intensity. It makes me feel justified in being there now yet gives me goals to work towards. read more

Ahhhhh, consider me obsessed with all things Peloton at this point. That this studio offers these magical cycling classes in addition to yoga and interval training makes it better than AOK in my eyes. And what makes me even more of a fan? The outstanding customer service. From the check-in people to the friendly, inspirational instructors and now I'm gonna get specific, the guy who helps you out when you're clueless (four classes I've taken. And I still can't figure out the right seat/handlebar height, nor how to swiftly clip my shoes in. Sigh). I don't know his name, but he wears glasses and has black tattoos on his arm and is your cycling angel. This guy didn't make me feel like a fool and was just all around awesome because he stands at the entry to make sure that at any point in the class you are OK. So, yes, everyone makes you feel welcome and inspired to work your a$$ off, making this a five star experience. I only took the cycling class, but I spied some interesting options here making me feel some serious envy for Chicagoans because I don't even normally LIKE classes (I prefer to work out on my own at the gym). I mean, I don't even really "get" why anyone would possibly want to do a heated cycling or even worse, kickboxing class, but kudos for creative/trendy workout options. I'd probably stick to yoga and cycling. But anyway, options galore, friends, all contained within this spiffy little place. Another plus: space! Naturally the Manhattan Peloton studio is pure chaos first thing in the morning because... Manhattan. Here, the changing room is upstairs, but if you don't need that, there's a generous amount of lockers on the main floor and plenty of space to change your shoes, etc. Aaaand, there's a juice bar in front, where you can buy possibly the most expensive pre-made juices I've ever had (over 10 bucks each! Mon dieu!) read more

My retirement plan (30 years from now) was going to be to open a gym focused solely on classes. Studio Three beat me to it- a newish gym comprised of 3 studios (yoga, interval & cycling). While at a workcation downtown the past few days I had the opportunity to check out 2 of their 3 studios. Interval: Shred415 or Orange Theory fans will feel right at home here. Dustin kicked my tired butt at 5:45am (yikes!) with a running, weights and rowing class. I'm a huge Shred415 fan, but liked that this class includes rowing as well. Peloton: I'm obsessed w/ my Peloton bike at home so was excited to ride one among other people.I had heard Antonia was one of the better Peloton instructors and she didn't disappoint at 7am with her high energy and fun music. I look forward to taking more of her classes from home once they start broadcasting from the Chicago studio. Yoga: Personally not a yoga gal (too chill for me), but my yogi friends & colleagues were happy w/ the experience. Since I live in the burbs it's not very convenient for me to go here on a regular basis, but if I lived nearby I think they would see a lot of me. read more

Yup, this place is the shit. Number One: They have the best spin bikes in the city. Seriously - smoothest ride ever, and if you're someone like me who needs things quantified and can't handle being told to make your resistance some random subjective number, these bikes are stats driven and display both resistance and RPMs. Hell, they even tell you your rank both in class and amongst all the Peleton riders riding at home. Oh, and shoes included. Number Two: Gorgeous ass yoga studio, with all the props you need. Seriously, being surrounded by a light airy studio, and not having to lug a mat around the city is enough to get the zen started, not to mention the huge variety of classes. You can rock a heated yoga class with weights, or a more restorative focused class, and everything in between. Number Three: Do you even lift, bro? Yup, the lower level rocks treadmills, decks, and rowers, so it's muscle time. Get your ass kicked with a combo of cardio and lifting to round your workout routines out. Number Four: All the instructors here are awesome. They know their shit and how to craft a motivating playlist, and the front desk is super friendly and kicks ass, too. Number Five: Now that you have the perfect body, don't forget to preorder an acai bowl from Graze to reward yourself for all your hard work. read more

Completed my first hot power yoga here using class pass. I've been practicing for some time having been a member of studios from AZ to Maine to Boston, etc. I was pleased with the efficiency, friendly staff, and cleanliness. Joined a noon class and it was packed with a diverse mix of people. I enjoyed the music (slow pop/hip hop mix), and the variety of yoga positions. The pace was steady, a bit fast so be ready to SWEAT! I'd come here again. All amenities included (towels, mat, showers, lockers..so it made it easy to stop in and head out without carrying too much of your own belongings. read more

My favorite place in Chicago for cycle, strength, and yoga. Amazing community, challenging classes, and the BEST instructors in the city!!

Review for "Graze at Studio Three" Had an acai bowl which was solid. Included banana, blueberry, raspberry, coconut, hemp seed and granola. Great breakfast option on my way from home to the office. The smoothies are also good - I had the berry filled smoothie which was filling. Obviously, the smoothie and bowl model is meant to serve those working out and post class pick ups on the way to work. Good option to have in the neighborhood. read more

I am so lucky to be part of an inclusive, supportive, and flourishing community! I am a classpass member and I'm so glad this placed opened up! They have three studios within, one for spinning, one for torch and one for yoga. I use it almost exclusively for spinning. The studio is amazing, I love the bikes to the point that I'm considering buying one for my house! The instructors are all so different, I don't think I've had the same workout twice which is awesome when you are grinding your way up a 50 resistance hill. Whenever we have friends in town who want to do a workout class, this is the first one that pops to mind. Sunday morning at 9:30am for an hour then brunch! Its perfect! I don't love the yoga classes, the couples of times I've taken it there they keep trying to talk to me when i'm holding a pose. I'm trying to get zen while working out - don't talk to me. read more

Sooo I was somewhat wrong. I've found an instructor that I really liked and played minimal overly remixed music. I do think the overall selection of teaching styles/music choice is much smaller than other spin studios but it's a good place to get a good workout and it's cute. I will be sticking to Erin's class and the theme rides but will be back for sure If you like spinning to edm/fast remixed music and the occasional 80's rock song then Studio Three will be your jam! Other spin studios in the area have something musically for everyone. If you're into Top 40, hip hop or current pop you'll have to go somewhere else. I think whatever gets you pumped is great but I wish there was at least SOME variety. I love the cute vibe and proximity to my apartment but I've tried my 4th instructor today and I've officially given up. On a positive note every instructor read more

I went here for the first time last week and I think I want to leave my current gym for this place. Cute cafe at entrance with amazing smoothies that have cute names. 3 floors of amazingness. I've been a member of Studio III for about 3 months now and I've been thoroughly pleased. The classes and instructors are clearly professionals and it's nice being at such a well run establishment. They have a detailed list of covid precautions which, in my opinion is very well done. I enjoy doing a combo of torch, cycle and weighted yoga classes. It's nice having the variety as I tend to get bored doing the same workouts over and over again. Very much enjoy coming here! read more

I joined Studio Three in July and have been so impressed. The gym is very professionally run and the Covid 19 precautions make you feel really safe while working out. If you enjoy variety in your workouts I would highly recommend the unlimited pass for all three studios. The Torch classes are similar to Orangetheory with treadmills/rowing. The cycle classes are like a mix of Fly Wheel with metrics and Soul Cycle with great music. The yoga studio has both strength and yoga classes so this gym really has it all. Lastly with coronavirus they have set up outdoor workout spaces that are really professionally done. There are so many class times and it's really easy to schedule/ get into classes. read more
