From the time I moved to Chicago to getting in shape for my wedding, this place has been part of my life. After a major surgery (a myomectomy to remove a large fibroid), I struggled both physically and mentally. When I returned, I weighed 165 pounds and felt very weak. The Fit Results team met me exactly where I was. They customized a program for me through semi-private training, supported me with nutrition guidance, and helped me rebuild my strength safely. Because of this support, I'm now down to 149 pounds, stronger than ever (from squatting 15 lbs to 125 lbs), off my diabetes medication, and no longer a candidate for cholesterol medication. Group classes are fun & challenging, but if you're recovering from surgery or dealing with cyclical weight changes, I highly recommend personal or semi-private training. Be transparent, they will help you achieve your goals! No judgement! Workouts are effective and can be adjusted to different fitness levels. I've noticed real progress since joining, both in strength and overall energy! My partner and I have used both pod 1 and pod 2 at 2 separate bookings. We were first introduced to "The Gym Pod" back in July 2022 when they opened for business at a different location during their promotional period. My partner is an introvert, so the concept fits him perfectly. Booking is easy; just download the app and the rest is self-explanatory. I would say read the fine print for each pod on the app before committing to booking. Pod 2 at the Dearborn location doesn't have a treadmill and we wanted to use it. The session ended up alright yet with some regrets of not being able to workout on the machine that we both liked. Each session is a 30-minute block. There is a recommended capacity for each pod. Honestly, the room would be too crowded for hosting more than 2 people, for the pod size is adequate and not overly spacious. Qualities of the machines provided were fine for a gym amateur like myself. I'm not into the "gym" type of fitness. My goal is to simply get away from 2 young kids and have my own quiet time. I believe my partner has a similar goal in mind. He always enjoys his time lifting weights and running on the treadmill. With that being said, don't cancel your existing gym membership if you are a type of person who uses numerous benefits a franchise offers, such as sauna, tanning, beverage discounts, etc. You can definitely book a personal trainer at "The Gym Pod" and pay for each session. There are subscription and discounted booking plans if you want to become a regular. Everything is listed on their app, which is user-friendly. We especially come here when they send coupons via emails. This gives my partner and I an excuse to get out the house. I do recommend "The Gym Pod" for those who desire flexibility and their workout schedules are irregular. Nevertheless, depending on your membership level, the leniency of cancellation and the ability of rescheduling vary. The Bluetooth speaker at Pod 2 on S. Dearborn didn't work for us when we came. I'm not sure if it was repaired since. Hence, I had to vote against rendering a full score for a malfunctioned equipment.

I saw amazing results in just 6 weeks, finished his 12-week challenge feeling significantly stronger, and recently signed on to continue training here this year. I am now 122 lbs and 26% body fat! My ultimate flex was fitting back into an engagement skirt on New Years Eve that I haven't worn since 2021! Why this gym is different: - The Workouts: Classes are 1 hour, energizing, and incredibly easy to follow. You can go at your own pace and strength level without feeling pressured. - The Nutrition Plan: 80% of losing weight is what you eat, not just working out. Drew provides you with a plan and I kept reminding myself his mantra "if it's not on the list it doesn't exist." I got through the weeks buying only food on his list and even when I attended holiday parties I told friends and family, "sorry, if it's not on the list it doesn't exist." - The Atmosphere: Zero judgment. The music is great, the energy is high, and the people are genuinely friendly. I've met a few girlfriends in the short time I was there. - The Logistics: This was great for an educator like me. I showered immediately after my 6 AM workout and headed straight to work. Transformation Fitness even provides all the shower basics (soap, shampoo, towel), so you don't have to. Overall, you need discipline to reach your goals, but Drew's accountability made the impossible feel easy. If you want a supportive environment that actually delivers results, this is it.

What I found was an extremely supportive group of people who supported me while I worked out at my pace but pushed me just hard enough that I felt like I was accomplishing something. Drew is a great trainer and breaks down every exercise for newcomers and experienced members alike. Each exercise has options for beginners and up. I highly recommend Transformation Fitness if you are looking to return to the gym for the first time after an absence. When my first 6 weeks were done, I signed up for the next 12.
