Tina was great! I got the best haircut I've gotten in a long time. Tina (the owner/stylist) really listens to what you want. Throughout the haircut, she asked me if I wanted to adjust this or that, talked about what she was doing, and it was really helpful in getting the perfect cut that for me will be both easy to maintain, able to dress up, and also really stylish. She nailed it. She also seems like a really great person. Very nice, down to earth, and easy to work with...with a great sense of style & what will work for you. I was really looking forward to it, especially because I'm leaving for vacation this week. When I arrived, the nail tech started filing my nails and asked what I wanted. I told her I wanted a French tip. Her response was, "I don't have time to do that." I was completely caught off guard. I asked why, especially since a French tip would only add a few extra minutes. She told me I hadn't added it when booking. Since it was my first time at the salon, I genuinely didn't realize that was something I needed to select separately. I also don't remember seeing anything that made that clear when I booked. I politely asked if there was a reason she couldn't accommodate it, and she continued to tell me she didn't have time and that I should go somewhere else. Other women who were there getting their nails done even looked confused by the interaction. I ultimately left with half of my nails filed and in tears. When I checked out, I explained what happened to the front desk, and while they apologized, I was told there was nothing they could do. As a professional, I understand that appointments have time constraints and that certain services may need to be booked in advance. But the way this situation was handled was completely unacceptable. Luxe Salon didn't just lose my business--they lost the business of people I would have recommended them to as well.
