I used to get my hair, lashes, waxing, and facials done here about 5 years ago. Since then, staff had changed, and the management left much to be desired. I found other places to have my needs met for a more reasonable price, and with better customer service. When I decided I wanted to dive into having my lashes done again, I got ahold of the staff here at Indulge. I work at the hospital across the street so it was convenient to schedule there. I wanted to give them another try since it had been half a decade. I was hoping for a better experience. First off- Jen was AMAZING! Meticulous with her lash application. Her presence was relaxing and calming. I had an amazing time. I was able to come back for a fill two and a half weeks later and she once again took amazing care of me. Then the governor ordered all non-essential businesses to shut down due to COVID-19. I was sad to have to miss my next fill, but hopeful that the owner would honor the fact that I had already had my lashes done-despite the likelihood that most would be gone by my next fill after this all blows over. I reached out to Indulge on Facebook, and was appalled at the response I got. Stating that they would charge for a full set ($250) and not a fill ($75) when I next came in because the closure wasn't their fault. Missing a fill wasn't my fault either, yet I would have to shell out that much money again?! Not a great way to keep customers. My experience with the ladies employed here has always been top notch-but the way the owner is handling her business leaves much to be desired. She's the reason I originally stopped coming in 5 years ago, and once again she is the reason I will not be returning after things go back to normal. read more

I've been coming to Indulge for maybe a year or two and have been meaning to leave a review sooner, but Sarah deserves all the recognition in the world!!!!! She is a genius and I always leave here feeling and looking like a million bucks. I receive multiple compliments on how great my hair looks and I couldn't agree more! Today I came in and let's just say my hair was WRECKED. I made the horrible corona desperate mistake of letting someone else cut/color my hair. It was so awful I wanted to cry. I wanted subtle warm caramel highlights/balayage (which I've done in the past) that DIDNT go up to the roots (pictures 1 & 2). Let's just say I had skunky, streaky, chunky highlights that went all the way to the root. I was so embarrassed! (Pictures 3&4) I hadn't even left the other salon when I booked my appointment with Sarah and hoped she could fix my horrible mistake! I sat down in Sarah's chair and immediately felt relaxed. I showed her the same pictures of what I wanted and she went to work. She brought my roots back to my natural shade, corrected the unevenly processed highlights and added ones that my hair was lacking, then toned the entire thing to my desired shade. This salon does great work, but for the second time after making an online reservation, I got a call saying the appointment time won't work. In addition, no reasonable options were offered as I can't leave work in the middle of the day for a haircut. When I asked about the dilemma with the appointment, I was told that "Yeah, the online doesn't work". If that is the case, why is it an option?!?! Unfortunately, in spite of the good work they do, the customer service issues with scheduling make it impossible to continue doing business here. read more

I had an absolutely amazing time at this salon. Kimberly was fantastic. I came into the salon looking for a new stylist after moving from Chicago. Coming from a big city where I had a plethora of salon options and had a long time stylist who I loved I was a bit nervous. I showed Kimberly a picture of the cut I was looking for. She took the time to talk it through with me and discuss my expectations, pricing, and time it would take so that I was sure to get the cut I wanted. I am ecstatic over the end result. She even took time to teach me how to show me how style it in different ways. Beyond Kimberly the staff was incredibly friendly and polite. The salon appears to be well kept up. Indulge is the go-to salon for all of my family's beauty needs. Kimberly has high a standards for her staff and will get involved in a process to make sure you get the best results you can. My daughter gets facial treatments weekly with Jen and/or Alexa to address her acne and a scarring and we are seeing major improvements we were not seeing at the dermatologist. My son's hair has a difficult texture and cowlicks that seemed to confound stylists in the past and cause him to dread haircuts but Kimberly's expertise has solved that completely. We trust no one else with his hair. Kimberly also takes excellent care of my hair. We recently decided to go darker with my hair and I couldn't be happier with the process and the results. Also any product she has ever recommended to me has been exactly what I needed and has delivered the results I was looking for. Jen has been doing my lashes (extensions) and I have to say, they look epic. And don't get me started on the body butter bars and soaps that are natural and delicious. read more

After plenty of coaxing my wife finally decided to go in for a haircut. An hour and $60 later her hair had barely changed. I asked my wife to request a recut and that she was unsatisfied, but given the tough situation everyone has been going through, she was hesitant to speak up and decided to let it go. It is highly disappointing that a level of professionalism isn't maintained and customers are taken for a ride with false flattery. My hair continues to be amazing. I have had two touch ups (roots) since. They have mixed the color perfectly both times. There is absolutely no line between the older color and the newer on the roots. They have not tried to sell me anything I didn't need, In fact when I asked if I should do highlights I was told I don't need them because my blonde has stayed so well. My main color is red, which is usually hard to maintain, but this hasn't been hard to keep up at all. read more

I did not have a good experience at their salon.. I take care of an elderly lady and she needed a perm so I took her there because it was close to her home. I asked how much the perm would be and they stated $70. I thought that was high but she wanted her hair done so we tried them out. First of all we were there over 3 hrs because they were behind and they charged her $145! And besides that she was totally soaking wet! Someone else took over my shift and was there when they overcharged her. When I call the salon the next day they made no apologies and said the extra $75 was for a haircut! I've never been to a salon where they charged separately for the haircut. It was always included. They should have informed me the cut was separate and I would have cancelled the appt. We will never go back! I think they think they are catering to the rich and famous! Never again! read more

My only experience prior to this particular one had been through facials. Which, I highly recommend treating your skin to one of the many fantastic facials that they provide. On this visit, I had called prior to making a hair appointment to discuss what indulge salon could do for my dry hair. After discussing a few options they provide, Kimberly called time back later that day and spoke more about what my hair needed. She was able to schedule me in that day and I received that best service I have ever had from a hair salon. The comfortable and friendly atmosphere can't be beat and I enjoyed every minute of my visit. My hair feels so much better after a nourishing hair mask and trim. I have to say this was one of the best experiences I have ever had getting my hair cut and colored. About a week before, I had a hair disaster, at Persona Day Salon in Hanover, PA . [My hair is naturally dark brown/black, and I had asked the colorist at Persona Salon for blond/brown sun-touched, natural looking highlights. I even took pictures to show her. I was completely shocked when she took the foils off and I saw she had bleached my entire hair yellow/green blond, and attempted to "tone" it down with toner. It was completely over processed and the ends damaged and frayed. It was completely unprofessional looking for me me to present myself at work in a hospitals setting. Not to mention, it was NOT what I asked for !]. I had received recommendations to find Kimberly at Indulge. Kim was very professional and took the time to consult on my hair color and quality, ask me what I wanted, and perform test strands. She balayaged my hair, added low lights, and the right amount of toner to take down the yellow/green blond harshness. We then ended with a cut (to take off the damaged ends) and a Brazilian blowout. The final product, was amazing !!! I consider it a miracle that she could undo the over processing, bad coloring and damage inflicted by the other salon. She has made a loyal customer of me.... I had pleasant experiences with one person I regularly saw here but since she has left I feel I can now be honest. The one time I went to get a pedicure and manicure here was the day before my wedding, I do not regularly get my nails done. I called weeks in advance to schedule and asked for one of the special offers from the website I was told "uh I don't think we have that" so I asked for whatever their special pedicure was, she signs me up for one with warm towels, scrubs, lotions, all the works. Day of my appointment, aka the day before my WEDDING, I get a call two hours before my scheduled time asking if I can come in now because something came up and my person has to leave. So I come in because I really need my nails done. The first thing the girl says to me is "I hope you don't want anything fancy on your nails because I normally just do pedicures". Well luckily all I wanted was plain polish, and I was a relaxed bride. I also got no special manicure and pedicure as I had been scheduled for, just the standard nail painting. When I checked out I had to tell them I didn't get what I scheduled so they could fix the price and they didn't even apologize. And the something that came up so I had to come in early? My girl had been out late the night before; I was her last customer and she wanted to go home early. She complained about how tired she was the whole time she was with me. I am slightly dissatisfied with my service at the George street location. I decided to color my hair for the first time, so I had an appointment set up for months for a balayage treatment with a hair dresser who I grown to trust with my hair. We had a plan of exactly how I wanted my hair to look. The day of my appointment was the first time I heard that this hairdresser no longer worked at the company. I had no notice ahead of time. Additionally, the new hairdresser that took over was completely rushed because the receptionist only booked an my appointment for a cut. She had another appointment shortly after mine and I was often left unattended while she was working with her next appointment. While my hairdresser did a good job on my hair, it was not exactly what I wanted and I'm going to have to go elsewhere to get it fixed. It was definitely not worth the 4.5 hours and $250 spent at this salon. All of my fears of coloring my hair, definitely came true at this salon. read more

I came in for the first time ever today to get a simple trim. I knew what I wanted and I told the woman cutting my hair. After she finished, I was totally unsatisfied with her work. Being the nice person I am, I kept quiet and politely asked her if she could just shave it all off. I'm not a picky person and I don't mind shaving my head to avoid a bad haircut. She was completely rude to me and was basically yelling at me to make up my mind about what I wanted. "I don't have all day." she said. Even after she shaved my head, the quality was horrible. I've never had so many people point out how bad my haircut was. The blending was awful, the lines were uneven, and their were parts that were almost barely touched. I have never been treated with so much disrespect by an employee before. I will never visit this salon again and would not recommend anyone to go here.
