Do not go here. They completely ruined my mom's hair. The highlights we showed inspiration pictures right away. The stylist said she had 20 years and it's a piece of cake apparently. She completely ruined my mom's hair and gave her a tangy orange brassy color. We asked her to fix it. She put toner again and said that's the best she can do. Mind you multiple times including mid process she said she can do the inspiration picture. When I proceeded to tell her it's brassy and nothing like the picture, she said that's the best she can do and she missed dinner with her husband and kid - mind you while we are staring at my moms brassy ruined hair? Mind you I was there from 11:30 am until 5 pm and in the end she absolutely ruined my mom's hair and got it nowhere near the highlights she wanted. I gave her a piece of advice to next time refuse the service if she cannot do it. My mom paid over 200 for someone to play around and attempt to get the color she wanted. She then told us to leave and never come back again and started yelling and crashing out right after we paid. Absolutely disgusting. DO NOT COME HERE THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING! Absolutely disgusting people. DO NOT GO HERE. Also believe the other reviews when they say they're aggressive. They are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. Extremely low class behavior. Started seeing Li since Gladys retired and walk ins are pretty easy to get. Li is a sweet woman, sometimes hard to understand, but very interesting to talk to. She's very knowledgable having been schooled in beauty in both China and the US. She brings techniques to the table that others don't use, and is very quick. She is the owner of the salon and her prices are very reasonable which is a key factor in why I continue to come here. The salon itself could use some sprucing up, it's generic and has alot of unused space. It'd like to see some decor or something done to elevate it a bit. What falls short for me is that Li is so fast that the experience feels rushed and not relaxed. Also because she moves so fast she sometimes wacks me in the head with the blow dryer and splashes water on my face at the shampoo bowl. Overall the entire process feels a bit rough. A few times I've left without being styled because "she didn't have time", or left not satisfied with the styling as it lacked volumn and product. She does give a solid, layered cut, and has reasonable prices so I'll tolerate the negatives.....for now. read more

Love it here Great service, reasonable prices, quality cuts. Most of the time, I get my hair done by Li, but this time, Ngan did an ash/blonde balayage on my hair. The picture doesn't do justice to my hair. Amazing job, will definitely request Ngan to do my hair again! Lots of customers coming in. I really hate writing this review, however, when I got home today and looked at what was done, I am very unhappy. There was a young man (don't remember his name) who cut my hair and gave me an eyebrow wax. Needless to say, my hair was cut shorter than I wanted. It felt like he was pulling my hair down to cut it shorter. The eyebrows were only half done and not like Li does it. I really think the man should stick to cutting men's hair. He would do a much better job cutting men's hair rather than a woman's hair. read more

Fantastic ! I will be in PA for while on vacation. Been needing to find an experienced stylist who can do more than the boring usual...blonde highlights, stacked bobs. All that is fine but even stylists at Great Clips and Supercuts can do that! I need a stylist who can do emo haircuts and highlights in funky awesome colors. Li's Hair Salon was perfect. My hair is chestnut brown passed my shoulders. The stylist Ngan (pronounced Non) gave me 10 perfectly sized and positioned HOT PINK and pale pink peek-a-boo highlights. She knew where to make them wide and where on my head to make them narrow. Ngan listens and makes suggestions that truly made me believe this woman knows her stuff. She's not one of those stylists who talk but then can't perform...you know what I mean, we've all had those type of stylists before. Trust me when I say Ngan knows and does what she says! The salon has 2 very friendly stylists, Li and Ngan. Place is quiet, clean, organized, and spacious. They have standard pricing for haircuts but if you want something special, like me, it's best to go there for a consultation. Amazing!!! Thanks to the reviews, I went and checked out the place. In. Super convenient area, amazing prices, quiet environment. I last minute called in for a cut and blow dry and they fit me right in. Ngan took care of me, she knows her stuff. I have curly hair so I'm very careful with people who do my hair because I've had people mishandled it. Ngan washed my hair really well and did layers in V shape and they turned out amazing. She then blow dried my hair and this all took an hour. I have curly hair!!! I thought this was going to take longer. I personally like to go to salons and not talk and just relax and decompress. I spent $20 on a five minute haircut because someone else wanted their haircut fast even though she did not make an appointment. My friend and I had booked our appointments for the same time a couple weeks ago, yet she wanted to try to get the other client who walked in before me. Also, the other hairdressers ignored me when they finished and went to other clients. I waited 20 minutes for a messy/rushed haircut. It felt and looks like a rushed job. They didn't blow dry my hair either. Usually my hair feels fresh after a haircut but my hair feels the same. They also cut my bangs in one single cut straight across, which I could've done for free with a pair of scissors. read more

I'm not originally from Lancaster, but out of all of the places I've had my hair cut, this is the only place that charged extra for a wash and blow dry. I got my hair layered like I usually do, however, some layers are choppy while others are pointed? I am very unsatisfied and will NOT be visiting them again. They were able to get me in the same day that I called to make the appointment. Li cut my hair, and I told her exactly what I wanted and gave me what I asked for. I have super curly hair and most places don't know how to cut curly hair. She does!!! I will definitely be going back. The only negative (if you even call it that) was the ambiance of the salon. I had been going to another salon for some time but the stylist was not really comfortable doing short hair (found this out after a year!) - then she botched a highlighting job. Li does excellent work on cuts, color and highlighting. She is not afraid to express an opinion different from what you think you want (and she's right as you'll see when she is done). Li's is the best place i've found to get a top notch quality haircut in Lancaster. I tried many hair salons before stumbling upon Li's and was hooked after my first cut there. They are all very professional and take their time making precise cuts. Right when they begin you can really tell they have years of experience and know what theyre doing. Always try to have Li as your stylist if possible but if she isn't available the other members of the staff are great as well. The price is fair for a regular haircut, about the same as chains but this place actually earns every penny! Never will I go to Supercuts or other chain again. Take a chance and try this place. Safi is amazing. I came in unsure about whether a choppy layered cut would suit me and she kept telling me, "It's all about you," putting me completely at ease. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she imitated the cut in such exacting detail, I was awed. She trimmed out the excess volume (I have a lot of hair) and made it look trendy. WORST haircut & service I've ever had! will NEVER go back! This salon may be good with color or perm treatments, but NOT with regular trims & cuts. Only one stylist in the whole salon available for 7 people & turned many away while rushing on the ones she took, told me she wouldn't have enough time to dry my hair at all, didn't use a drape or towel during the wash so my shirt was soaked, had me sit in previous clients hair clippings in a used cutting station to save time on cleanup, & did an amateur job thinning (cut close to the scalp so the little ends stick up like bangs gone wrong, didn't comb out the thinned ends so my car was full of gross wet, long pieces of loose hair on my way home), and still charged me the regular amount for the 10 minutes she gave me! read more
