I was really looking forward to it, especially because I'm leaving for vacation this week. When I arrived, the nail tech started filing my nails and asked what I wanted. I told her I wanted a French tip. Her response was, "I don't have time to do that." I was completely caught off guard. I asked why, especially since a French tip would only add a few extra minutes. She told me I hadn't added it when booking. Since it was my first time at the salon, I genuinely didn't realize that was something I needed to select separately. I also don't remember seeing anything that made that clear when I booked. I politely asked if there was a reason she couldn't accommodate it, and she continued to tell me she didn't have time and that I should go somewhere else. Other women who were there getting their nails done even looked confused by the interaction. I ultimately left with half of my nails filed and in tears. When I checked out, I explained what happened to the front desk, and while they apologized, I was told there was nothing they could do. As a professional, I understand that appointments have time constraints and that certain services may need to be booked in advance. But the way this situation was handled was completely unacceptable. Luxe Salon didn't just lose my business--they lost the business of people I would have recommended them to as well. I have genuinely never felt strongly enough about a business to write a negative review before. This experience was that bad. I would not recommend this salon and will never be returning.

Walking into Mulberry Salon it is just so cozy in there. Big wooden mirrors that give a very rustic vibe, and good luck finding a sweeter gal than Amanda who greets you so kindly every time you walk in the door. (Love her). Add on top of that these top-notch stylists and it's just a recipe for success. They have a stylist for every hair type and any time I go in those girls are all in there crushing it, creating magic. The owner of the salon was even kind enough to add to my already pleasant experience, and it just makes you feel so appreciated as someone who goes in there and commits their time and money. The receptionist didn't make any calls to indicate they actually tried hard to find someone else. They advertise walk-ins so this was very disappointing seeing as I had an appointment, and have a health issue that prohibits me from driving so I had to take a day off of work, work out a ride, and have an event tomorrow which is why I made my appt for that day/time. On top of that, I was not offered parking validation (which they normally do), so I ended up paying for no services provided.

She knew where to make them wide and where on my head to make them narrow. Ngan listens and makes suggestions that truly made me believe this woman knows her stuff. She's not one of those stylists who talk but then can't perform...you know what I mean, we've all had those type of stylists before. Trust me when I say Ngan knows and does what she says! Absolutely disgusting people. DO NOT GO HERE. Also believe the other reviews when they say they're aggressive. They are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. Extremely low class behavior.
