Great haircut and beard trim. Interesting honey atmosphere in the shop. Personable barbers. The straight razor trim after the hot towel a great addition to experience. read more

AMAZING Tim did my haircut so well the vibe was amazing if you like it quiet go on a Saturday but this was my first time going but it will definitely not be my last read more

I had a chance to go in yesterday, at the invitation of Jon who wanted to make things right after my last visit. It was pretty much the opposite of my first experience. I was asked to help myself to a drink while he finished up with his existing client. We chatted amiably for a good part of the cut. He finished with a hot cream straight-razor shave. He accommodated me despite it being a very busy week by just letting me know where there was an opening in his calendar and we made it work. If he's available, definitely book an appointment with him and you won't be disappointed. read more

The Black Comb - Free soda and beer while you wait for your appointment - Barbers Near Me - Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Tim did a great job. The actual shave was very well done in a very safe, professional and timely fashion. The only negative feedback I would give is about his use of the hot and cold towels. The towels should be left longer. Sometimes the towels should be left as long as five minutes. I don't mind paying a lot for a shave and a haircut, but I wanted it to be kind of a spa experience. read more

My son and I have been getting our cuts for years. Best haircut and the best group of barbers around.

Usually go to Eddie, but every barber here is great. Great atmosphere, great barbers, and a free beer every time. I've been going here for about a year and I will continue going here. Just make sure you schedule about 2 weeks in advance, there's a reason they are always so booked up! Quality cuts! read more

Botched my haircut before my wedding. Had to take it to my childhood hairdresser to fix it. Parking is atrocious. Vibe is odd, don't know if they were dipping in their cooler or what. Just wanted a simple blend but a shape-up on the beard. Most expensive haircut FAIL I've ever heard of for a guy. read more

Edit: wrote a bad review for them because they are twice the price of other shops in the area for the same service and the owner messaged me and threatened me. Be careful if this place read more

Always a solid cut. Always a good time laughing and talking with the guys. Always a cold beer in the fridge. I've been using the BC for over 3 yrs now and they're great. I typically get cut by Drew or Nate but all of the guys are good. You do need to schedule in advance a little as they're often booked out up to 2 weeks, but not a big deal, easy online scheduling. read more

I've been been getting my hair cut here for a couple years now. I've watched it grow from two barbers to six. The atmosphere is great and I never leave without a perfect haircut, no matter the barber. Besides, where else can you get a free beer while you're getting your haircut? I won't go anywhere else. read more

The Black Comb stands as a memorial to old school cool and old school men's barber shops. The vibe is incredible and decorated like a man cave to the highest order! The skilled barbers are amazing. Nate is the man! Jon and the other guys are all equally skilled but Nate has been my dude since the beginning. Enter in through the doors and be welcomed with a beer, soda or other chilled beverage while you wait. The wait won't be long provided you have booked an appointment online first as all is done by appointment only. No walk-ins but it is worth the effort to get the quality you will get here. The place is the best! read more

I came in here for the first time and haven't had a haircut in two years. I showed Sebastian how I used to have my hair short and he took care of it. Great atmosphere and definitely will be coming back here again. read more

These gents do a fantastic job at a great price. They're friendly, talented barbers who value each and every customer who comes in, from little dudes on up, to ladies who are looking for a top-notch cut. Evan has given me the flyest fades I've ever had, and I don't just toss around adjectives like that all willy-nilly. I wish I could grow more facial hair, just to have an excuse to come in more often. They can be booked 3-4 weeks out, but setting up appointments on their website is easy. read more

Everyone always asks me where I got my haircut ? I tell then The Black Comb. I have always gotten great haircuts there because the barbers are experienced, detailed, and just simply won't rush you in and out of the chair. During and at the end of the cut they will ask you if it looks good. A few times I've asked if they can take a little more off or thin a section out and they are happy to oblige. The barbers there are all good people, the beer in the fridge is good (pre and God willing post- covid), the environment is good. But I go because you just simply can't get a better cut in this City, in my opinion. read more

If you haven't been here... You HAVE to go. It's very chill, laid back, old skool style yet modern. I'm a female and usually jaws drop when I enter any barbershop... And somehow some assume I would require a "female barber." Well, I don't and I prefer a male barber lol. Luckily I walked in and got a friendly hello and sent right over to my designated barber Drew. Showed Drew a picture of the style I usually get and gave me a great cut. Clean lines, perfect shave across the back, not one single defect can be found on this cut. Will definitely return. read more

These guys are the best in Lancaster. Been to a few places and finally found a place that I will continue coming back to. Paul Schaefer (dude with a sick beard) is the man! Great haircut and even better service. You will not be disappointed read more

I've been getting my hair cut by Pat since he was in school and cutting hair in his bathroom on New St. This shop is everything you could ask for in a barbershop. They treat you like you're their most important customer every single time you walk through the doors. Haircuts are on point, staff is top notch, atmosphere is everything you hope for. read more

Outstanding barber!! This shop loves what they do & have a passion for cutting hair & making people look great & feel good. If you see a review for the Black Comb that is not at least a 4 or 5 star it is most likely fake or a jealous person. The Black comb is simply the best. Looking forward to The Blackcomb getting back to cutting hair real soon. Blessings to you! read more

Hands down the best barber I've been to. I recently moved from Philadelphia and am astounded at the level of service you get at this barber. Book well in advance because they're typically booked but the work they do is stellar. The atmosphere is excellent and the guys are great. The free beer is an excellent craft brew to match the wonderful hair cut. $20 for an excellent cut is a great price all things considered that I tipped 100% for the excellent cut and service. read more

Went to The Black Comb for the first time and it was a great experience. I was offered a beer and my barber Eddie gave me a very clean cut with a nice bald fade. Blended exactly how I wanted it to be. I like the traditional barbershop atmosphere and had a great conversation with Eddie. Definitely recommend this shop if you're a fan of traditional style cuts and clean fades. Coming back again. read more

Such a classy establishment! Nate cut my hair with confidence and precision. I have never felt as relaxed as I have here. They have complimentary cold beer and soda and I was greeted upon entry. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Even if you have a regular barber, give it a try. You won't be sorry! read more

The guys at Black Comb are fantastic! They are highly skilled barbers, who love what they do, and it shows in the quality of their work. Fair prices, easy online scheduling, and precision cuts keep me coming back. read more

I think this place is great - and the staff is pretty cool. Jon is the owner, and he did my beard, my haircut and sometimes a shave. The space has a great vibe, and I have seen many different generations, types of people, men and women come in for detailed razor shaves and cuts. It is relaxed and great conversations happening all the time. There is a side space for women and certain coloring etc. but I'm not sure about this part. Great place, need to schedule in advance! it's easy online. read more

Excellent! I've been getting my hair cut at the Black Comb for the last couple of years and have never been disappointed. I look forward to getting there a few minutes early and enjoying a beer from the fridge and chatting. A few times my regular (Jonathan) has had a full schedule and I've scheduled with another, and I've always been pleased. These are quality cutters, but also personable, friendly, and laid-back guys. Highly recommend this place. read more

Great cuts - Nice guys and I would never take that away from them. Customer service when clients can't make appointments and have a very busy schedule = 0/10. You work around their time and their time only. The last time I was 10 minutes late and Jonathan (Owner) was willing to come in the next day since they filed in my spot ( which I don't blame them) I gave a $10 tip for the inconvenience and it was overlooked and wasn't appreciated. I don't recommend if you have a tight schedule for they will not accommodate. Moving on to another barber that cuts for his clients no matter what the circumstance. Thats what you call great customer service. You don't see barber shops like this much anymore - I don't like Great Clips but at least they will make sure their customers are well taken care of - Beer and beards shouldn't be a selling point - Wish them the best of luck but I will not be returning. read more

Most establishments are not 5star worthy, this place however.... I've had my hair cut, neck shaved and beard trimmed here 3 times with 3 different barbers(John being one). And each time was as great as the last. From the warm welcome at the door to the cold beer in the old barber chairs this place is second to none. I will indeed continue to patronize this "barber & shave parlor". keep up the great work fellas! read more
