Nice little shop. Friendly stylists. Tried going for over a year, unfortunately...in my experience....the stylists are not on top of latest trends in styling, cuts and color. They do a good job, fair price. Easy to get appointments but wish they were a little more up to date. read more

Was suppose to have Cathy but ended up with some new young hairstylist lady who was not confident at all and couldn't do simple braiding hair. We had international student who was so disappointed with her hair for Homecoming after visit there . It took 3 different people to do 3 different tried to make her hair and it still came out not as desired. And charging $50 for being experimented on. What a rip off place... Stay away. read more

I came here for color correction a few months ago. This salon was recommended to me from a babysitter of mine. I met with Kayla and she did an amazing job fixing the botched color job from another salon. A couple weeks ago I came back to see her for bayalage and again she did a great job. I had to rush out so we didn't get to see the final dry look but she told me if it was too brassy for my liking to come back. I did want it toned down a bit and she fit me in right away and stayed late on a Friday. I got so many compliments from my friends and family and highly recommend the team at Little Off the Top! read more

I booked the entire salon on the morning of my wedding so that I and my entire bridal party could get our hair done, and so that I could get my makeup done. I could not have been happier with the service we were provided. Everyone looked beautiful, and everyone was very happy with their hair. Amy, the owner, did my hair, with some help from Rikki, and they took so much time to make sure that it looked exactly right. I had come in a few months earlier for my trial run, which was also really great and welcoming, and I could tell that they cared that what they did for me was what I wanted. In the time between the trial and the big day, I changed my mind about how I wanted part of the style, and not only did they enthusiastically take on the new style, they made sure that it was perfect and would last the whole night. Rikki did my makeup, and I can honestly say that I've never felt more beautiful. She did an amazing job, and I didn't need any touching up the rest of night. I felt amazing right until the end of the evening at 2 in the morning. Not only that, the entire staff made us feel welcome and shared everyone's excitement for the day. They let us bring in food and drinks and we basically took over their entire waiting area with all our stuff. One thing that I was very worried about was our time - we needed to get me, seven bridesmaids, and two flower girls in and out by noon so that we could make it back to our venue in time for photos. Not only was every person finished by 10:30, an hour and a half early, they had performed EXTRA services, since some of my bridesmaids decided they wanted to get their makeup done too, once they saw mine. I can't say enough good things about my experience at A Little Off the Top. I would book them again for my wedding in an instant. This salon used to be great, very up and coming. Unfortunately though, it has gone down hill the last few years, and my most recent time there (this summer), was the last straw. The one hairdresser is full of negativity and gossip. She has apparently been in this town way too long. It is also inappropriate when her family members come in and stare at you while you are getting your hair done. Don't even try to argue or confront them if you are displeased with how your hair has been done. They are argumentative and will brush you off at a moments notice, after charging you an arm and a leg. What happened to the customer is always right??? The owner is too soft. She lets her hairdressers walk all over her and the customers and does NOTHING about it. It's pathetic. Also- don't expect any current hair trends to be executed properly there. I can't even begin to guess the last time any of them took a class to stay fresh. Word to the wise: find a different salon- maybe in the Manheim or Hempfield area. It's NOT worth it to stay in Lititz for the convenience. read more

I had a great stylist but since I moved it's not as convenient for me. Salonovation did it once and it was great! They couldn't get me as quickly as I would have liked, so I thought I would try A Little Off the Top. I called and they got me in within 2 days. The stylists called me to confirm my appt and I again was very clear, my hair will pull red when giving blond highlights. I never had an issue with my previous stylist I had for years nor Salanovation but I have at other salons. She colored, put in high/lows, then had to add some ash then had to put a toner. I left with some brassy red tones and had to buy blue shampoo. I would rather have a stylist tell me she doesn't feel confident than walking away spending a total of $175 and not happy. I went home and washed it with the blue shampoo and thought it looked a little better. That of course is temporary. I did call and apologize for my extreme disappointment as I didn't intend for her to feel bad even though no offer to fix it was given other than the blue shampoo which I had to purchase. I understand it takes time to learn someone's hair (well sort of)... The stylist said she didn't think we were a good fit and doesn't want to do my hair. So if you have long, thick hair and looking for color or highlights, don't go here. Go to Salanovation! I'm just going to have to make my appt with them in advance of a last minute wanting to get my hair done as they are worth the wait! read more
