I went to get a trim today. yes I got what I asked for, but the price was very disappointing & surprising. I scheduled an appointment after checking the website, which says that women's haircut start at $43. When Stacy finished my trim (shampoo+ trim, NO blowout, NO product-- the appointment lasted 20 minutes total) and brought me to the front desk, the receptionist told me it will be $65 and asked what tip I wanted to add. I respectfully pushed back a bit, pointing out to her that I did not get a blowout/product and that their website states that women's cuts start at $43. The receptionist told me that there was a price change at the beginning of the year and it all depends on who your stylist is.... Im just bummed because the price change was not reflected on the website, and I did not have a choice on who my stylist was. I suppose this is a more exclusive salon, but I do hope that they fix their website to reflect their actual pricing. $78 gone. Lesson Learned. I've had to use several different stylists because they're so busy but have loved every one of them. They do a great job.

Hands-down this is the best place that I have been to in a very very long time I have gotten my hair done blonde for years This is the first salon that I haven't walked out of with Gold. The Decour is unbelievable it looks like it could be a bar it's like you're in Manhattan in the meatpacking district they got cool music pretty chandeliers Union Jack' flags I've had four visits at this place with three female colorists I will finally get my first haircut from the owner next month and I'm really excited They use Kevin Murphy products and Dyson hairdryer's There's plenty of parking in the parking lot of Turkey Hill and subway and you just walk down a couple of yards and there it is I think this place is very clean and the service is really great. It was nothing like I would ever expect in Hershey. I definitely recommend. They do Childs cuts and cut for older women I've seen in there. read more

What a great salon! Went with my daughter and her bridesmaids for hair and makeup the morning of her wedding. I actually didn't plan to have my makeup done but the girls were looking great and having fun so the makeup artist fit me in. Everyone was sooo nice and friendly! My makeup wasn't overdone and I had lots of compliments on my hair. I definitely recommend this salon because of the talent there but also the very cool atmosphere! read more

Elisha and Jonah created not only a beautiful, trendy salon but also staffed it with professional stylists whom all extend the co-owners vision of a warm, fun, and friendly environment. I always walk in to a great atmosphere! I started going to Elisha for haircuts as a teenager and have been an avid follower since. He books six months out (at least), so call well in advance for an appointment with him. It will be worth the wait! Haydn and Olya I schedule with monthly for root touch ups, balayage, hydrating masks, and toner and always leave completely amazed at the results, and the fabulous service they both provide! I came here to get a root touch up and toner for my balayage. I travel a lot for work, so finding a good hair salon is tricky but this place had good reviews so I went for it. The place is very cute on the inside so upon arrival I was relieved- a good sign. I spoke to the colorist about what I wanted done and all seemed great. When it was time to wash out the product she had to go back in a second time because she was unsure if it had gone dark enough- totally fine, understandable. She came to wash it out again and was still doubting herself and that's when I began to get nervous. She washed it out and luckily the color came out great. Phew! Relief. After she finished the blow out and turned me around, my hair looked flat and frizzy. You should walk out of the salon feeling GOOD and I was not feeling that way. Not a good blow out. I expressed that I was unhappy and that it felt unfinished and she started to get a little defensive. I then suggested to maybe do the wand or curler to try and make it look less frizzy with some beach waves. She accepted and began to curl my entireeeee head of hair (BURNED my forehead in the process) and when she turned me around I looked like I was in the 80's. It was HUGE. I had given up at this point and decided to just pay and leave. When I got in the car I realized why my hair felt so weird, there was still so much hair dye in it!! She hadn't washed it out well! I was so frustrated and annoyed. My scalp was black and when I ran my nails through it, black hair dye would be underneath my nail. Gross. I went back to my hotel room REWASHED my hair myself and styled it so that I can feel good about it. Luckily the color came out good but overall not a good experience AT ALL. read more

I am the most ridiculous person when it comes to my hair. I would never want to be my stylist. Most recently, I am back and forth between a Philly salon and Steele. Steele was my sole salon for years and its owner Elisha my stylist for years before that. Steele is the only salon I can endorse in the Harrisburg area for being on-point with current hair trends and techniques. They also always have the best in color and products. The salon recently relocated to Briarcrest Square in Hershey. The new space is very welcoming and current. The staff at Steele are always accommodating and professional. I recommend Rachel for color. She is always willing to try something fun, but also exercises just the right amount of restraint for those "might not be such a good idea to put pink in your hair before a business meeting" moments. Elisha (one of the co-owners) is my preference for cuts, but be sure to book far in advance as it can be tough to get on his schedule. Elisha seems very committed to making Steele a positive and relaxing experience for its clients. read more

I am very picky about my hair. I have spent the last 2 years of college in the area waiting until school breaks to go to my regular hair stylist in Philly, because I believed nobody else could get my hair just right. Today, however, I was in desperate need of a haircut for some last minute plans, and decided to give Steele a try. Lizzy was my stylist today. We sat down and talked about what I wanted with my hair, and she asked a few questions to really understand what I wanted. As she was cutting my hair, I asked her to tweak quite a few things (I really am picky about my hairstyle). Lizzy was more than happy to fill all my requests, and she always made sure to double check what I wanted if she wasn't so sure herself. I stand here today with my haircut perfectly executed and my expectations blown away. The shop is cute and clean, the staff is exceptionally friendly, the pricing is very reasonable, and the quality of service is outstanding. Love love love this salon. My hair is thick and wavy and I recently got a perm elsewhere for who knows what reason and it was a hot mess. I looked like a 7th grader in the 80s. horrible horrible she charged my daughter. 250.00 for blonde hair. ok fine . but 5 hours later sent my daughter home with brown hair. and told her don't worry there blonde underneath.. what type of salon and terrible attuite .when i seen my daughters hair i reached out to her to tell her please fix her hair blonde as she said she would. and if she wont then refund her. don't take advantage of a young girl.. she was rude found it funny and said she never hade a bad review now looking on here i see that not true. even that was a lie,,,,,,, so save your money time and stress this place is the worse just money hungry rude and nasty to clients and have no .courtesy.... even when they mess up shame on you . this place deserves ... no stars and 100 times thumbs down . dont go read more

Ive been to the salon a total if 4 times and had the same stylist for all those times. It was hard to tell how my hair looked in the salon due to the poor lighting (in my opinion) however every time i went home i realized how bad my highlights looked- bold and streaky. I tried to give the stylist the benefit of the doubt however it continued to be the same. Now recently I've had not one but TWO other stylists from other salons tell me that the highlights were not properly done as well as the hair cut! It took 2 appointments to get my highlights back to the way they should be. I normally don't post about bad experiences but i felt i had to let people know who are looking for a salon in the area to be careful who you choose to do your hair. This person was not a senior stylist. I don't plan on going back. read more
