It was quiet so I had the chance to chat while the staff and the gal who cut my hair. Everything was clean and nice, my hair and was cut and dried and I got on my way. I somehow didn't notice at the time but afterwards, two days later when I washed and dried my hair I noticed it was cut uneven, about an inch difference on each side. I called and talked to the manager, who offered me a discount on future services, but why would I want to get my hair done there again? They have a salon and massage services and she didn't offer anything else except 50% off on future services. I had two conversations with the manager and ultimately nothing really came of it. They didn't even care to see pictures. Honestly everyone was really nice, including the stylist who cut my hair and the manager who handled my complaint, but being nice doesn't fix my hair or ever make me want to come back. There was a clear opportunity to offer something to remedy the situation but they didn't take it.

When you enter Camp Hill's Carmina Cristina, you experience a distillation of European luxury. When you enter for your appointment, you are offered a cup of delicious herbal tea and the finest European chocolates. Unlike other spots in the area where you're just a number, you feel like a queen where everything is curated for your pleasure. An experienced aesthetician, Carmina asked me about my skin care concerns and chose the Maria Galland line of skincare products for my facial.  With a light touch, Carmina massaged my face so that the lotions were more easily absorbed. With a more vigorous touch, she massaged my shoulders.  Significantly, Carmina does not do extractions as they damage the face (My dermatologist told me to avoid facials for this very reason).  After the hour-long facial, I felt so relaxed and my skin so soft and supple.  I can't wait to go back this month for my next facial to re-experience the opulence of Carmina's wonderful European skincare treatment in our neck of the woods.
