My fiance and I got engaged in NYC, and even though we didn't live there, we wanted to have our…read moreengagement photos taken throughout the city, particularly in Grand Central where we got engaged. After looking at a TON of photographers online, we chose Rebecca for two reasons: 1) her blog/portfolio was amazing, and 2) she was by far the most responsive photographer we tried to contact. Rebecca was in constant email contact with us, asking us how we met, where we got engaged, what ideas we had for our photo shoot. When we got to NYC, she also some location ideas of her own, and those ended up being our favorite!! We were able to relax and shoot easy with her, and she was very professional, on time, and got us our photos in a very quick turnaround time. Both my fiance and I LOVED our photos, and our families were equally impressed and excited! The best part about Rebecca (aside from her amazing talent) is her down-to-earth attitude and willingness to dive right into your project. We actually lost (I know, I know) our entire USB with our engagement photos, and Rebecca mailed us another one immediately for a nominal fee. She is so responsive, which I cannot stress enough having dealt with many other wedding vendors who have the "I'll get to it when I get to it attitude." Very highly recommended. Just under half a block from Rockefeller Center, this auction house is a surprisingly good stop,…read morethough perhaps not a top priority for tourists. I've frequented Rockefeller Center and its surrounding numerous times but never knew about Christie's until this trip, when Boucheron hosted a 10-day exhibition here. The event was free, and so are the regular auction previews. The high jewelry masterpieces by Boucheron were breathtaking in both artistry and craftsmanship, as well as their sheer value. After viewing the featured exhibit, we roamed through the rest, including a Japanese anime collection and Billy Joel's motorcycle collection, and many others. Even though we aren't wealthy enough to bid on any of these items, we could still appreciate them, much like artifacts curated in a museum. A large staff was present throughout the premises for obvious reasons, and everyone we interacted with behaved professionally. There are restrooms on the mezzanine level, and on the ground floor you can find complimentary tea and coffee with a lounge area to rest. I look forward to future exhibits.

Throughout the year, different types of memorabilia are on display to the public before being auctioned. During my visit, I saw a wide variety of memorabilia from the Jim Irsay Collection. This included movie props, screenplays, music, sports, and autographs. I was especially impressed when I witnessed the Golden Ticket, a signed Babe Ruth baseball, and The Beatles drumset. Admission is free and complimentary cookies and coffee are served in the lobby. Due to the value of the merchandise, all visitors must pass through a metal detector. Large size bags are not allowed in the gallery, but they may be left at the Coat Check. The only disadvantage is that the exhibitions are temporary. On Nov. 24th 2021, I purchased the Akoya Stud Earrings with Diamonds for my wife's Christmas…read morepresent.  When she opened it, there were no diamonds on it.  She tried them on to see if the pearl was a good size and we put it back in the box.  I tool pictures of the earrings and the receipt, then email their customer service to request that the correct earrings are sent.  They provided me with a label and I shipped it back.   I subsequently receive a call from them stating that they received the earrings, but based on their investigation of the documentation, they shipped me the correct earrings.  Which implies that the ones I sent back were NOT the ones they sent to me.  Then they informed me that they will be returning the wrong earrings to me.  They are so confident that their materials controls were spot on that they effectively called me a liar. I've filed a dispute with my credit card company and will pursue this until I'm made whole.  The fact that I even had to do this is ridiculous.  Don't buy from their website or you might get robbed like I did.  Or, if you do buy from them, record yourself opening the package and inspecting the contents so you have video evidence just in case.

We worked with Leyla who was patient as we went through the verification process and prepping the earrings to be sent out to their workshop. She also assisted my mother in finding the right necklace, while also giving us a crash course in pearl grading. While we ultimately did not buy the pearls that day, we will be coming back! I will update once I get my earrings back from the workshop.

Located on Bleecker (across from Salt Hank, if you want to be specific) Wick and Pour gives candle making classes daily. Note- It is BYOB! When you arrive you can go to the scent wall and pick the ones you want for your candle. I went with the fig because it was heavenly! We then went step by step to make the candles. It was almost reminding me of chemistry class in high school, with all the equipment we used! We had a wonderful time! Would definitely go back.
