It was really just sitting on a display table with art and more art. Definitely my vibe. I love art studios and seeing how other artist set up their creative spaces. I don't have any tattoos, but I wanted to go to a tattoo parlor for some new ear piercings, because I knew they would do a great job just from WOM. Looking around, I enjoyed seeing the butterflies in display cases and didn't think too much of all of the animals placed on walls and desks. Juvenal (the artist) told me the owner enjoys taxidermy, and I very slowly accepted that these were real animals. The irony of being able to sit at a museum and draw stuffed animals without a care, but now in this setting seemed eerily fitting. Juvenal did my piercings. They're perfect! I've been wanting to do this for years. I don't have a good excuse to why it took so long. But I know it was the right time. I bled. 0.o Fitting for the setting, eh? They were all cool people, too - Juvenal, Ernie & Tany. We chatted a bit before I left. The whole thing was an experience. That's what brought me here. Most tattoos places have "hardcore" environment: redish walls, skeletons, rock music, etc. plus an open concept that leaves no privacy. It can be intimidating and honestly a bit uncomfortable as it's not really my vibe. She has her own private studio, clean, and welcoming. She's warm, clearly passionate about her work, and took the time to ask about sizing, placement, and design, offering her own suggestions too. I got a floral tattoo on my forearm, my first piece in years. She made sure I was comfortable, played relaxing music, and worked quickly with a technique that minimized the pain. When I saw the finished tattoo, I was blown away! better than I'd expected. I've already booked my next session with her. If you're on the fence, just book it. The studio is easy to find, very clean, and comfortable. Jadyn is very conscientious and accommodating. I also really liked that he was fairly perfectionistic in stencil placement and in checking how the design was looking - really important bc he uses a lot of straight lines in his work! I absolutely recommend him, and I hope he gets lots of clients.
