They really make sure to listen to exactly what you want, check the area to make sure they can actually give you what you want, and provide recommendations as you choose out your jewelry which is well-priced. My piercers have also been very gentle and take cleanliness seriously--everything is very sterile from the moment you enter the building to the piercing room. I plan to get my 5th piercing here in about a month once I come back in to downsize my 4th. I absolutely love how knowledgeable the staff is here and how friendly they are. They are always very welcoming whenever I come in with questions or concerns and have even fixed some of my orders that went wrong. I always forget to get her name but she's been so sweet and so kind every time I go in. I got a naval piercing from this place july 28th 2022, since then I have not been able to take this piercing off after almost 4 years! I've tried multiple methods trying to get it off including pilers because I didn't want too have to break the jewelry. I didn't care much till now because the piercing place was out of the way but now I have to take it off for medical reasons. When getting it pierced the man who did it literally said he did it super tight so it won't come off and now when I called asking if they can take it off they're trying to charge me 15 dollars for something they did. Makes absolutely no sense and when I got the piercing the piercer wouldn't even let me record even though I said he wouldn't be in the video. Sketchy place all around definitely would take business elsewhere. read more

I came in really stressed out because my 5-year-old tragus piercing suddenly got badly infected (not because of the shop at all), and she immediately helped calm me down. I'm really hesitant to leave this review but I want to help others know their options. I've been going here since 2014 and since then have had five piercings done (two helix, two tragus, and one conch). Even though I live in LA now I've continued to go back because they've always been professional and amazing. Yesterday I decided to pull the trigger and get my navel pierced. I was told by two staff members I didn't have the anatomy for it (even though I was told yes during my last visit). I decided to get a second opinion and went to another reputable shop in Hollywood today that had NO problem doing it and had the best, easiest experience. I'm concerned the staff is not experienced enough and wasn't comfortable piercing me (which I can respect) because the problem clearly wasn't my anatomy. Love you guys, but please do better for your clients. read more

Went in randomly for a belly button piercing. Had called earlier in the day and said there was about a 2 hour wait. They were not joking. Luckily I got in on time, and made the appointment list! No doubt this is the place to go for your piercings. Clean, nice friendly, and most importantly knowledgeable staff. They now offer appointments again, Monday thru Thursday. Friday thru Sunday walk in basis. Got lucky with no line this Sunday morning, but usually there is a long wait line for walk in. From start to finish... the staff at Laughing Buddha are amazing. I called to ask for pricing about a piercing. Received the run down. Went in as a walk in. There was a tiny bit of a wait. Choose my jewelry from a wide assortment of choices. When it was my turn, AJ was the piercer. She talked to me the entire time, her piercing my tragus didn't hurt at all. 2024 Went on a wed walk in only. They dont take appointment at this location, to pierce my daughters ears for the first time (they only accept starting age 5 for kids) and you first have to provide child birth certificate even tho the parent is there and email a picture of your kid and fill in the instructions paper. Heads up DONT bring your own jewelry. You have to buy it here because they are flat backs to not irritate the skin. AJ was my daughters piercer. She was nice and gentle. But Once they were ready to pierce we were told ONLY one parent can go in :( i was very sad. Thats why i gave 4 stars review. when thats done they advice you to buy some Piercing Aftercare MIST to spray everyday 2 a day to clean the piercing. I got the small bottle it was more than enough. The back of my daughters ear was bruised a purple circle it looked like and in 3-4 days the ear lobe was swollen which we were adviced would happen. The ear rings that we bought have a long bar to give plenty of space for the swolleness to take place. About 3 weeks later the bruise behind her ears is gone and looks healthy and the swolleness is gone. So the bar is pretty long. They advice you to go back in 10 days to size down the bar for $10. But her ear was STILL swollen in 10 days. So everyone is diff. My total for all this at the shop was around $100 something. Hope this helps! read more

My husband and I made appointments to get pierced today and had a great experience from start to finish! The two girls at the front were SO sweet and friendly and helped us out with picking high quality jewelry for our new body decor. AJ was great and pierced us both, my man got his nostril done and I did my helix. She was super quick and got us both in and out in a couple of minutes. The shop was very clean and they have a huge selection of beautiful jewelry to choose from. We were also able to purchase some saline spray to take home with us to simplify our healing process. This review comes over a year later because I wanted to see if my piercing would improve and if I could get any jewelry for it. I have a bump that hasn't gone away in over a year. I've irrigated it, sea salt bath, used nailmed too. But I'm mainly upset because the way AJ pieced it, I can't get any of the jewelry I want. I got my conch done here during Super Bowl 2023. The one who pierced me is AJ and I decided to get my conch done now you, the piercer is short and I was sitting upright so she ended up piercing me at an angle, which I didn't think much of it other than I thought, maybe she should have me lay down and pierce me instead of trying to reach for it for my ear. But nonetheless as someone whose had over 28 piercings, I've never felt the pain as much as I did on this one. Not only was she reaching for my ear, but because of the angle she pierced it at, at one point she couldn't even find the exit to put the needle through. She literally had the needle in my ear and was kind of moving it around trying to find where she had marked the exit on the other side of my ear. I had gone to several piercers, especially I have one in Vegas because I wanted a specific jewelry from them, which is why I got my conch done. But I got it done here at this place because they were having a special. That or I was just really in the mood to get a piercing. When I went to the place in Vegas, they said that the piercing was done wrong and an angle and that the jewelry that I wanted wouldn't fit which I was bummed about. Then I went to two piercing shops yesterday and they both told me the same thing that because of the way the angle was the way it was pierced that, the jewelry that I want to put in there wouldn't fit. Especially since she pierced with what they all thought was a 14 G but looking at the paper I got from laughing Buddha she pierced me with a 12 G. Would I recommend this place maybe for other piercings and maybe a different piercer, her name is AJ. I haven't had any other piercings done there since then. Jewelry wise they are pretty good. They do have a big selection but not gonna lie. It's really expensive. Because the jewelry I wanted from the shop in Vegas and it was from the same company because I asked was quoted around like $180 laughing budda quoted me about $300+. For now, the piercing is out and now I'm just gonna let my ear heal and hopefully it closes. Both the other piercing shops that I went to yesterday yesterday said it might not close just because it was pierced with such a bigger gauge. :( And I'm giving this place a two star because the ladies were pretty nice and the one helping me picking out jewelry was nice. read more

I was shopping around for new jewelry and came across this little gem of a place that was located on the second floor of a corner plaza. They have a nice selection of unique pieces for different body parts that need dressing up. The shop has a cool chill vibe with a little incense flowing through the air. And if you're looking to get piercings they have comfy backrooms that are up to code so no worries on that. The staff is super friendly and they have a seating area. And that's a good thing in case you bring your roadies so they won't be bugging out. There's a reason this place was busy on a Thursday afternoon. Because it is clean, the employees are professional, and the piercers do a great job. They also have a good selection of jewelry. I got lucky when I arrived. There was only a few people before me. Therefore, I only had to wait about 30 minutes or so. The two ladies that arrived after me were told to come back in 45 minutes for their piercings. So, timing wise I lucked out for deciding to do this the day of. I've been wanting the industrial ear piercing for a while. And I decided to finally go for it. Also, as of late, I have been missing my nose ring. I originally took it out because I couldn't have it for work. And ever since then I have been missing it. So went for it and got that one re-pierced. Yay lol While at Laughing Buddha Body Piercing, I got some titanium loops for my helix ear piercings too. The industrial definitely hurt more than I was expecting. Yikes man. And it's two holes that have to be done one at a time. Hurt like a b*tch. lol Getting the nose re-done wasn't bad at all. My piercer was very clean and sterilized everything. They measured out my ears and gave me backing that were way too big. I came back and got a second pair of backings for $10 but they were still too big. Now I came back for a second pair and they charged me $30! They said only the first pair costs $10 so why didn't they measure it out properly in the beginning?! Absolutely love this place for piercings because of the great customer service and talent of the piercers. I've been pierced here three times now and I have never had a bad experience here. My first two piercings I had done here were two helix piercings in my younger years. Yesterday I went in for a conch piercing and had very good results thanks to AJ. I really like this place because Ashley really guides you well on which jewelry works well with the piercing you are getting. I've gone to other places and they don't seem to care, they just have you pick something you like out. Jewelry The jewelry here is on the pricy end but it's beautiful and well made so you get what you pay for. My piece was about 170 for my conch but I really like my piece. Professionalism The piercers here are all friendly and make the experience manageable. As with any sort of procedure, there is some nervousness or anxiety going into it but they don't shun you for it. They try to make it a good experience and they work fast so you will be fine getting pierced. I really liked AJ because I told her what side I wanted my conch on and she took into account the natural anatomy of my ear as well as the future jewelry piece I wanted. She made sure I wasn't nervous and she did her work fast and I really had very little pain afterwards. She's amazing and I highly recommend getting her for your conch. Aftercare Best aftercare procedures! They have a handout that explains it all and they give you s little bag of salt. If you follow the directions you won't have issues. In the even that you do have issues, go back and ask for help! They can asses the issue and hopefully you get to keep your piercing. They give you a sterile strip after you are pierced, it's just to ensure that they used sterile material on you. Make sure to go on their website and enter the a COVID RULES Make sure to book your appointment online via their website and fill out the questionnaire/consent form before your appointment. Airick pierced my rook and my god it was the most painful experience of my life. He also made me feel super uncomfortable in the chair. I took it out 3 months later because it was pierced too deep into my ear, causing infection and causing it to not heal correctly. Recently got it repierced by someone else; it was not painful and I haven't had any issues with it since. 0/10 would recommend being pierced by him. Giving 3 s because while I won't be getting pierced there again, I do often go back for plugs. They have a good variety of those. read more

Phenomenal! One of my daughters wanted a new industrial piercing and the other wanted her helix pierced so we thought we'd take advantage of the jewelry sale. First off, let me say that everyone is friendly and helpful, but Ellen was the person who was stuck with us and was AMAZING. When my daughter saw all the jewelry and told Ellen what she wanted, she ended up realizing she wanted a conch piercing instead. Ellen helped her find the right size jewelry by taking the time to hold each one up to the area so that we could all see what looked best. She then helped my daughter look for industrial piercings and when my daughter described what she was looking for, Ellen went through their inventory to see if they had something similar. When they didn't, she worked with my daughter and they custom ordered it all while infringing on her break time. AJ was professional and terrific as usual and my daughter said it didn't hurt at all. I went to get my navel checked out after having issues with it since it was pierced in December, it was pierced somewhere else. I was seen by Vega and they were honest with me and told me that it was not salvageable. My skin was looking very thin around the piercing and I was hoping that it wasn't rejecting, but it was. I needed someone to be straightforward with me and he was able to do that. I'm so thankful that he helped me remove it today, so that it won't leave a massive scar and will someday be ready to be repierced. Next time, I'll get my navel pierced at this shop because all the staff here are very experienced and friendly. I've visited several times for different services and have always been treated well. I always refer friends and family here to get jewelry and piercings. Although I was very sad about my navel, the day wasn't ruined because I was able to get a second nostril piercing and new jewelry.
