These days it seems like you can't ask anything without someone turning it into something political, and that's not what I came in for. I did go back for a second visit, and that experience was completely different -- much more easygoing. I guess it really just depends on who you get. My experience with tattoos have not been good AT ALL....Until I walked through the doors at Breakthrough Tattoo. I wanted to get a tattoo before I left to go back to Colorado, It was very short notice. Bryan (The artist there) said that he would do the tattoo. He basically worked a double shift to fit me in his schedule even though he was booked into the middle of August. He stayed until 11 pm to complete the tattoo. The tattoo is AMAZING!!!!! I would like to say that you should ignore any negative reviews about Breakthrough because I can recommend them without any hesitation at all. They are a legit shop with an awesome vibe and chill artists who are willing to go out of their way to make sure you are happy with your art. They pride themselves in their artwork and it is more than just a business to them. It is their passion they have for the Tattoo culture that "Breakthroughs" any negative ideologies or beliefs one may have about the Tattoo industry. If you don't know where to get work done it's SIMPLE.....GO TO BREAKTHROUGH and you will walk out with AMAZING art that you won't hesitate to show off to everyone!!!! I told him I really appreciated him fitting me in and he said "when you texted me I had to find a way to fit you in before you went back to Colorado.....he did just that. Reviews about Breakthrough Tattoo that day they don't answer the phone or do bad work simply is NOT TRUE. I have witnessed personally on two different occasions them going out of their way to get the ink done that I wanted with little or no notice!! Breakthrough Tattoo is a shop that can be trusted. I can't express enough my gratitude and satisfaction that I have for Breakthrough Tattoo. If you go somewhere else that could be a mistake. They are booked for a reason. Found this place after searching trew a bunch of shops on yelp, saw the rating and positive reviews and decided to go here (especialy after knowing Tommy Towne moved over here) came in to start the process of getting my ears stretched the shop looks laid back, clean, and family friendly, all the guys there are super nice and look really into there work the best part was seeing the Forence Gump references in the restroom. so then i was talked trew the process of ear stretching and as usual with Tommy's work i came out really satisfied and with the least pain out of the piercings. while there i came across Elijah Pashby.We talked about tattoo's.. Nice guy, really informative, and answerd all my questions.. So i went trew his portfolio and liked his work, and after alittle research, Next thing i know i got a gorgeous custom rose tattoo for a really nice price from him. I got my nose piercing done by Tommy back in January for my 29th birthday. He was so friendly and made me feel so comfortable about the whole experience. The shop is clean and staff is friendly. He made sure to ask where I wanted the placement and made sure I was relaxed before piercing me. He gave me detailed after care instructions and even gave me a card with his contact info in case I ever had any issues, bumps, questions and the few times I've had to text or contact him he's been great about answering all my questions. I went here for my first tattoo and am very pleased with the experience! Bryan did my tattoo and it turned out exactly how I wanted it. He made sure I understood what he was doing and how to take care of my tattoo during the healing process. It didn't hurt very much at all, which surprised me. The establishment appeared to be very clean and it had a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The music they were playing was pleasant and the tattoo artists were all very nice. Been goin to this shop for awhile now to see my guy Steve ! Steve and the fellas in this shop are extremely professional, and of course extremely talented. I am originally from Chicago and recently traveled to Phoenix to visit my girlfriends. We decided to come to Upland just to get tattooed here! I put a lot of research into places in California and found Upland through an artists work which is how I came across Breakthrough tattoo. Many of my family and friends have had several tattoo's from Chris, and his crew and they are all truly amazing artists. I walked into the shop one time before the new ownership, and when I came back, I couldn't even believe it was the same place. The transformation is absolutely fantastic. Piercer, London Hernandez, in the best of the best. I had a horribly infected belly button that I mistakenly got pierced for very cheap and I was referred to him for help. He cleaned it, changed it out with a high quality ring and in 3 days it was back to normal. He is very clean and takes his time. Long over due post and review…read more Came for a grand opening special and got I what wanted for what I paid. Lily (co-owner) was easy to work with and great at drawing Asian brush style paintings. Cute, clean, and trendy tattoo shop with a friendly team of artist and staff. Plenty of parking in private lot.

So me and my mom ending leaving with no tattoos Don't skip the line just cause it your regular customers make sure it first come service! Disappointed!

I was able to have a FaceTime consultation where we talked about the project. I live in Northern California so this was great (a lot of artists aren't able/willing to do this). First session he showed me the stencil and we were able to tweak a few things and make it exactly how I wanted. Great communication and he wants to make sure it's what you want. Also all the aftercare items are all provided to you so you don't have to worry. He explains everything in a thoughtful way to get the best experience/most out of your tattoo. The atmosphere at Elated is welcoming and inviting. Ducky has a private space where it isn't in the open like a lot of tattoo shops. Very clean and calming energy. I had 2 sessions and Ducky was always checking in to make sure I was okay. Amazing tattoo artists are hard to find he is a gem!

Artwork was good, business was not. This was ~3 years ago I just never forget and it was a big piece left unfinished.
