Where do I start. I was looking for someone who could pierce my baby. Most of the locations that I reached out to would not take her until 3-6 months of age. Luckily Maya takes one month olds. Once I got to her studio she handed me the consent form and began to explain everything in really great detail. I appreciated that as I've never had to deal with piercing a baby's ear before. She made me feel safe with my choice in going to her. She made sure to show me that none of the equipment/needles/sanitizers and iodine was expired. She showed me the needle before breaking the seal and showed me that she disposed of it in the sharps container before proceeding to the second ear. If you want to be treated like family, Maya is the person to go to! I got a cartilage piercing a while back and we realized it was infected . I wasn't able to go back to the original piercer, so I found Maya on Yelp. Maya squeezed me in between her two appointments and was able to see me that day. When I showed up, it was like she was doing surgery! It was clean and she supplies to make sure that she helped me. She said that the piercer used too small of an earring initially and why the infection had grown over the original piercing. She used some local numbing to make sure it was as painless as possible. I highly recommend to do piercings with Maya! To start with making the appointment, I had to wait until my baby was 4 months old as that is when she gets the tetanus vaccine booster. I was able to make my appointment by texting her contact number which is convenient for me as I'm always on the go and unable to stay on the phone long. Once I arrived, I was greeted at the gate since the location is at her house. We walked towards the back where she had her shed that is remodeled into a nice little room. Maya took the time to explain the disinfecting process, piercing process and paper work that has to be fill. After all that is explained she then starting cleaning the baby's ears with alcohol, then iodine and showed me a few earrings that would go good with my baby's ear.Once I chose the earrings she then proceeded to make dots where she thinks is best. The whole time she was very patient and did not rush us, she tried to work with the baby as she kept looking back and forth. Once the were done she used a caliber to measure where the dot on one ear was to match the other. When we were ready to pierce she opened a brand new needle to pierce her, my baby only cried for 3 second because right after Maya began to distract her with noises. I was sent home with a spray cleanser for the ears and she sent me an email with after care instructions. We are on day 4 today since she got them done and her ears looks great, there's no redness or pain . I did give my baby ibuprofen 1 hour before and gave her 2 days after just to make sure she's comfortable. My experience was great and I would definitely recommend to get your piercing done here! read more

Maya is amazing! I went to get my nipples pierced for the 3rd time (yes 3rd time). I had to remove them the first time due to an allergic reaction to the ring ( not with her) so it closed and went to another place for the second time ( horrible decision) the piercer did not pierced my nipple at the base but rather high to the point that the ring kept getting yanked and almost broke my nipple off in the process . I had to take it off which left an unwanted scar Being it my 3rd time I was worried but Maya made me feel comfortable and safe.
