I've been a client of Tammys before (I followed her from her old salon) and she did a beautiful Balyage & color correction last time (I had black box dye). This time around I wanted to go blonder and also brought my own tape-in extensions that I purchased in hopes that they would match the color that my hair came out. Not only did Tammy match my hair to the extensions PERFECTLY, but she also cut and blended them so that they look so seamless. I will not be letting anyone else touch my locks!! Thao is amazing. AMAZING. I hope he never moves away from Pearland/Houston, because he is the only person I trust to do my hair. He does an extremely thorough job with haircuts and is very detail oriented. It feels like he's cutting your hair as if he were the one who was going to be wearing it for however many months/years. You can tell he takes making sure your hair looks good very seriously. It's not just another haircut to him. He cut some of my hair, then completely blow dried it and used a flat iron. I thought we were all done. Nope. He was not even half done. He styles your hair as he cuts to make sure everything comes out just right and makes any adjustments needed. I haven't had that level of attention to detail at any upscale salon I've been to, even super pricey ones in Rice Village. Thao. Is. Amazing. I have extremely thick hair. Which might be great if you wear your hair long. But right now my hair is shoulder length. Because it's so thick, I had 0 movement when I came to him. My hair just sat on my head like a big mop. I felt ugly, and thought it was hopeless. After his cut, my hair is perfect. Tons of movement. No more mop head look. It looks like something out of a magazine. You're able to show him a picture of what you want, and then he looks at the hair you *actually have*, and figures out what he needs to do to make it look right. That sounds so simple, but it's skill/talent I think a lot of even the most professional and expensive stylists lack. He's got it. I can't say enough good things about Thao. read more

This is the first time I've professionally gotten my hair done and I am so impressed! After years of box dye, I decided to put an end to it and get a balayage. A friend of mine recommended me to Tammy. I messaged her and she quickly scheduled me in! It took about 2/3 after I messaged her that she was able to see me. I was honest with Tammy and told her the history of my hair, and she color corrected my hair and did my balayage. The one thing I liked that Tammy did was that she was explaining everything she did and asking if everything was ok with me before she proceeded. I didn't understand the products she was using, but I really liked that she checked with me before doing whatever and potentially ruining my hair. She was also realistic and told me the time it would take and that there would be a possibility that my hair wouldn't come out the way I wanted from a picture because of my box dye. I got to my appointment a little after 2, and I didn't leave until 9 because my hair is thick and she had to get me lighter. Luckily Tammy worked her magic and my hair is blonde! I am a very low maintenance person and I'm really glad she told me that I don't have to see her for another 6months to a year, and honestly she's so nice and real I wouldn't mind seeing her sooner. Tammy was so nice and made sure I was comfortable, hydrated and full. Around 7/8 the stylists ordered everyone wings and fed us! I thought this was so nice and the people here are so genuine. Worst service I've ever experienced. I booked an appointment a week and a half early on my day off. Got there 15 minutes early and only one guy working with two women in the chairs. "Maybe he'll be done by my time?" WRONG. Waited for 20 minutes after my appointment time (total time there 1 hour). He told me he would work on both of us at the same time. Unacceptable. He had accepted the other lady with no appointment to take over my time and asked me to come back another day. I ALREADY TOOK TODAY OFF TO DO IT TODAY. I left and will not return. What a jewel in the rough. So glad my stylist left from the other salon and just happened on this place. It had lots of good reviews. When I walked in at first I wasn't so sure. Remodeling going on and only the owner was there. Felt like I wanted to back out the door. But I'm so glad I didn't. My hair had about 4 colors in it and I was sure nothing could be done. I told him to bring it back to my natural grey as best he could. Two hours later I saw a miracle. It was perfect and I actually looked younger and refreshed looking. I went to Mary after wanting to go ashy light brown/dark blonde. She is amazing! She really cares about the integrity of your hair because she warned me that I might need two sessions to achieve the look that I wanted. I have been to other places where I walked out with orange hair or hay-like hair and this wasn't the case at all. Thao was super nice but could not deliver what I asked for. My appointment was first scheduled for a Sunday at 9am but asked if someone canceled sooner to please let me know. He was able to put me in on a Thursday at 5pm instead which was sooner. I explained what I wanted color wise and even showed pictures of it, I also explained my haircut. It was almost 10pm and the result was DEFINITELY what I did not want, not even close and once he noticed I was not happy he offered to fix it on Sunday at 9am. As for my haircut, let's just say that the other stylist that was there, Leidi, had to end up fixing it. Friday he had asked if I could come in Saturday instead but was unable to make it. Long story short he then said Sunday he could not make it to fix my hair that Saturday he could have another stylist fix it for me but if it was more convenient for me, that he could give me a refund. I really wanted to fix it but lost all hope that they might not be able to. Once I said to please give me the refund, he said it would be $230 for the work and color but then I told him that it should be $240 since he had said it was $60 for the haircut. He then said ok $240, he then asked if I was dying my hair black again (my original hair color) or if I wanted them to dye back to black. I really would've gone so they could dye it black again for me but the fact that I still could not make it had not changed. I did end up dying back to my normal hair color!! But let me not just make it all negative. That was nice and Leidi thank God fixed my hair and actually understood what I wanted. If Thao would had left it for Sunday like we had discussed maybe he would had fixed it or he could have changed my hair to black himself but that did not happen. read more
