I am beyond happy that i found this place! Prior to coming here, i tried another salon that simply told me they we're not able to do a balayage so luckily salon 8 was available and i was able to come in later that day. Mary is, hands down, amazing! Absolutely the best stylist I've ever had! She's very attentive and you can tell she loves what she's doing. I enjoyed the conversation and her listening to my stories while i got my hair done. Best part was I felt like she actually cared and that my hair was in good hands. I have been to too many salons that left me sad about my hair to not have gone for about a year! She definitely changed my mind on stylists and hair. Mary's knowledge is great and she was able to give me tips on how to manage my hair from product recommendations to putting in oils on my hair. I was able to ask questions about next visits and what kind of procedures it would take if i wanted a different color and so forth. So ultimately, my hair came out SO much better than expected. Phew, let me tell you that I walked into Studio 8 like a hot mess. I found the salon through lots of googling after I'd just had an awful experience getting my hair done. I had to box dye my hair black, which is something I'd never done, just to cover it up. I had an appointment with Thao to trim my hair and told him I wanted to do something with my color, but just had no idea what. He immediately knew what would look best on me and my skin tone, and made me feel so comfortable. He showed me a few pictures of things he'd done before so I'd have a rough idea of what he was going for. I trusted him completely. I came back a couple days later to have it done and I left Studio 8 looking and feeling like a new person. After years of frustration on what to do with my hair and what color suited me best, I finally had my hair looking exactly how I'd always wanted it to. I had the pleasure of getting my hair hooked up by Thao @ Studio 8 yesterday (Saturday April 29th, 2017) and let me tell you....it is the best haircut and style I've ever had in my 49 years of life! Thao knows his stuff and is a talent worth every penny! He listened to me and knew exactly what I was requesting, he knew I needed my hair "textured" and even though I didn't want what little length I had cut, he convinced me to take off an inch....I cringed at first but as he blow dried me, I could see his magic at work! My hair has never looked and felt better and now my frizzy and at times unruly locks are manageable and I can actually curl and feather my hair with no problem! My mom and I went to our first appointment with Stefanía in April 2018! She made us feel very comfortable and was very honest with us about the changes we wanted to do to our hair in every session! This salon is amazing! All the ladies were very nice and welcoming. All willing to help each other out in any way they could. I went in for my first time with Estefani. And I have to admit I have a bit of anxiety when it comes to trying out a new stylist but let me just say she is a magician and she just earned herself a forever client! I showed her a couple pictures from Pinterest and she gave me a bomb ass result!! She was able to take into consideration what I was trying to achieve and even gave me her honest input. I scheduled with Tammy and boy was all the talk exactly what they said. She is the perfect blonde /Ice specialist. Exceeded my expectations and done all within one session. My sister referred me to Garrett because he did an amazing job with her hair--and he made my hair look stunning as well! I asked for ash-blonde balayage and I loved the results. I appreciate his 6-hour hard work because he wasn't just bleaching and dyeing my hair, it was also a color correction! I came in with damaged orange hair and Garrett still did the best job ever (and gave me a haircut)! I haven't had my hair done in like 7-8 years and had a hard time trusting someone to do my hair. My hair became dry, heavy, thick and I honestly had a birds nest in the back of my head. But my hair now has never look and felt so beautiful! Even though it was expensive which is my fault for not asking. But then again it did take 8hours to do my hair so it was pretty reasonable. Thao is a MIRACLE WORKER!! I allowed a friend (who has her cosmetology license) do my hair. It was an absolute disaster! I had blonde, brass, and brunette chunks all over. I was literally embarrassed to go to work. Thao fixed my hair!! I called him with my dilemma and he was able to get me in quickly so he could fix it! Walked in to a very chill and relaxed atmosphere (probably because I was one of the last appointments of the day lol) and got introduced to Mary. As somebody who had only a rough idea of what kind of haircut I wanted, Mary was a huge help in picking out my look. She listened carefully and explained what she could do to correct the mistake. When I tell you that my hair has never looked better is no exaggeration. I went to Thao through a recommendation and I am very glad I did! He spent hours working on my hair and he made me feel very comfortable through the process.
