The last time I was there I asked for my layers to be cut shorter because they were grown out and small bangs. The hairstylist proceeded to 2 pieces of my hair shorter than the rest of it making my hair look choppy and uneven. She didn't even cut me any bangs as-well. My layers looked exactly the same than they looked before just were styled. I never thought I would say this but i will not continue going to this salon which is crazy because I used to love it. I guess the new employees are just not as awesome as the old ones. The only pleasant part of my visit was going to the restroom because it did smell nice in there. I will be finding a better salon in my area.

At the beginning, Darlene felt that Meg did not understand. She should have stopped there! But meg insisted she new what she wanted. Fast forward 2 hours, Darlene was presented her new cut and color. It was NOT what was discussed or agreed too. Now, my aunt is old school and refused to pay. The police where called. My aunt stayed in the parking lot to wait for police. Once police arrived the matter was settled and my aunt paid the bill. Now, for the dirty details. First, when my aunt paid, Meg, inflated the prices originally quoted. She took it upon herself to put a tip into the price. A very nice tip, mind you for a cut and color she knew the customer was not happy with! Now for the cut, it is a hot mess! I have pictures attached for how messed up the cut is! One side is clearly completely off in angle and no symmetry what so ever!!! Also, the length is way more than what was discussed. Meg cut a good 3 inches off. Now for The color, I personally like the color job she did. However, it is not the depth of color my aunt wanted. She wanted visible color variation of platinum blond and browns. As you can see in the pic it is not a dramatic color variation at all. All in all, Meg did not listen to her client! She was combative and defensive! She obviously has had issues with clients before. I would not recommend this stylist or salon. They have no respect for there clients well being. They have no respect for the profession they chose. Don't be a stylist if you can't deal with the clients!

I have recently moved out of Texas, and I miss Salon Vivid very much. It is the best salon I have been to in a long time, and I was a client for about 4 years. The staff is absolutely the best!!! They all take the time to listen to what you want, and make suggestions that might make it better. Kristen has done my cut and color for years, and she is great. Every time I go, it is perfect. I have tried salons in my new area, but nothing comes close to the expertise and professionalism I found at Salon Vivid. Awesome place to get your hair done! Ana did my hair and she did a great job! I had moved to Texas from Indiana where I had gone to the same place since I was a little kid. Since then I've gone to various salons and I haven't gotten the results I have wanted, most of the time my roots would turn out brassy and would look like I had tried to fix them myself. Finally I found Salon Vivid and they are great! Ana was super friendly the whole time and did a great job transforming my yellow/brassy hair into a more ashy blonde. My hair looks about 100 times better. I definitely will be going back! :) read more

This salon has a great atmosphere. I was happily greeted when I walked in the door. I had a full length consultation. I felt as though the stylist was really getting at my needs and style. The shampoo was great with a nice long head massage. I love the product line they carry. Lots of options and variety. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone in the Houston area!! read more

Went in as a walk-in to have my hair flat-ironed and my short, page boy blunt cut trimmed. I was assigned to Brianna, who did the job as well as any "Super Cuts" stylist.
