Today's visit was a special girls' day, and we brought along my 5-year-old, proving they are incredibly kid-friendly! We also brought along our furry friend for the first time, and the staff went above and beyond to make her feel welcome too, even giving her a dog treat! As soon as you walk through the door, you're greeted and handed a clipboard to write down all your favorite notes. 2. You get to explore the space and smell all of their incredible candles, jotting down the scents that you like. 3. Once you're done smelling, you choose your "build-your-own" product experience. 4. The staff helps you perfectly balance and customize your signature fragrance. 5. Lastly, you get to officially name your custom creation! The fragrance library here is unmatched--there is truly a scent profile for everyone. We've experimented with a lot of their offerings, and here are our absolute standouts: Custom Scent Oils: A household staple for us. We add a few drops to our wool dryer balls, and it elevates laundry day to a luxury experience. Car Diffusers: I am completely obsessed with the one I customized. It smells so incredible that I genuinely just want to sit in my parked car and enjoy it. Body Butter: If you're looking for deep hydration, skip the lotion (which ran a little too watery for my preference) and go straight for the body butter. I was at the studio for 3 hours TWO different times, and all I did was let my brain go blank and paint and create with air clay. The vibe was so chill that I wish I could just stay there forever! The owner, Charlotte, is super sweet and was always open to chat. The most challenging part was really just mixing the right paint color to match the easily recognizable Sanrio pink and blue. When I got the color right, I was soooo happy and as if the dark clouds above my head were gone! Charlotte came to check on my artwork and I got a thumbs up! Luckily at Pinot's Palette, I was still in the right company! Their motto is 'Paint. Drink. Have Fun.' Based on this, I was 100% successful! The night started by finding our assigned stations, verifying our supplies and then ordering some spirits from the bar. I came prepared to be a mess, but they have aprons anyway and they were definitely highly used. The session started by having one of the expert employee artists showing you the final painting on one TV screen and then showing us by painting their own from scratch on the other TV screen. The instructions are provided step-by-step and are simple enough to follow even for novices like me. The best part is, there's still room for your own interpretation and artistic flair to shine, as by the end, everyone's canvas looks similar in theme but are completely unique in execution. The session lasts 2 hours but it felt like 1 hour. Time flies when you are having fun! The staff do an amazing job and were very helpful throughout the night! Last Saturday, Nov 23rd, I introduced my girlfriend to this wonderful workshop where she created a tic tac wooden game board and a I, a personalized 18 x 18 inch pillow case for a holiday gift. It is a smooth process from booking to completing your session. After On line, you select your craft, your customization (if you choose to) work date and payment. Confirmation will be sent to you via email. The owner and director, Tanya is so friendly and polite! She answers inquiries over the phone and offers helpful suggestions. She preps everything ahead of time so you just need to show up. Lettering, paints, tools, a clean workspace is ready for you. We had fun working alongside others who were working on their own projects. After a couple of hours, we left with a sanded, painted/stained game board complete with pieces and a ready to use customized pillow case. It really was a fun, inspiring time out! They even let me take a picture of their amazing carousel piece at the front desk so I could show my 5yo niece, who is all about carousels right now. I didn't even buy anything my first time there, but their amazing customer service made sure I didn't go shopping around. Even if I can get glass for $1 less at a place like Hobby Lobby, the casual advise and experience of their employees far outweigh any savings I can get from a big box craft store.
