FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY BEWARE Went to this location for U-Haul services, brought the truck back to return, associates didn't want to assist me, walked away as I was trying to follow through with the return. Sent another employee up to ask me if I needed help after the other employee just left me sitting there because they were in a rush to close the store. They ended up charging me for fuel when I overfilled the truck above their initial level. They'll try to scam you out of anything they can by making you late to return and blatantly lie about readings on odometer to benefit them. Unprofessional and fraudulent. Purchased a kitchen table. The owner, Kathy, tried to have me buy chairs and leave a hefty "deposit" which was non refundable before even knowing the actual price. I also bought an alpaca fur teddy bear. The price tag read $50. The tag was cut off while the bear was wrapped. When she was writing up the invoice she tried to charge me $75. After going back and forth I asked to have her son (whom cut the tag off) find the tag to confirm. She was not happy about finding the "mismarked" price that was in her daughter's writing. Even with the original price tag in front of her she still tried to charge me $55. When I called her out in this she acted like a 5 year old having a temper tantrum and scribbled the correct amount on my invoice. I should have walked away at the first sign of trouble. Husband 'Mark is very nice and personable but I would not recommend and will not be going back myself. read more

Well the name rings true... Brat! These people are extremely rude. Walked in with my family of 5 and with a floor plan and enough cash to furnish our entire house and they stopped us at the front doors and told us that all of our children needed to be 12 to enter the store. I have never heard of that in my life and the quickly escorted us out. They said feel free to leave your kids outside and take turns coming in. This place is a joke and their policies are hog wash. We will take our money to arhaus to furnish our house, since they know how to be kind and courteous to their customers. read more

I have had the worst experience here. I was rushed to get my money in to order my couch last September, in order to receive it by The end of December. Heard nothing from them until I called to check in January. She had never called to tell me it was running late but I figured with COVID it's just late. Finally, April it's ready to go, (I forget what it even looks like by now) I've been trying to arrange to get it home when they call to threaten that they are going to charge me late fees or sell it it I don't get it today or tomorrow. These people are closed Sunday to Tuesday! And it's 9 months later than she said it was. These people are not sorry and don't care about anything but making the sale and not delivering on their word. Came to check out this place after they advertised all over local Facebook pages. Pictures of the products they were highlighting enticed me so I packed up my family and drove the 30 minutes across town. Got there to see a sign on the door that said "no kids under twelve years old." I might not agree with the policy, and it can be entirely frustrating to find out after the drive. But that isn't the reason for the poor review / rating. It was the language the man used to mansplain the insurance policy that made them require this rule. In the conversation the man looked at my kids (10, 7 and 7) while they were standing quietly in the doorway, one reading a book, and said "It's hard to manage them, right?" If there was any evidence that this was true from their behaviors or actions I would understand the comment. But to generalize this sentiment just because they are children is entirely disrespectful and discriminatory. Children are humans. Let's stop treating them like criminals just because they exist. You can have your rules and policies, as discriminatory as they are, while treating children and their parents with respect. read more

Update-- responding to seller reply. In your reply you neglect to mention that I was told by your employee that all the chairs should be at the lower price. It was only AFTER we had agreed to buy at this price that we were informed that you WOULD NOT HONOR the price that the table and chairs were understood to be. It is a shame that the small difference in price was more important to your company than maintaining an honest reputation with your customers. It is also apparent from your response (ie: hope you return with a better understanding...), that you have no problem attempting to condescend to or insult your customers. I would reply to this so the public is aware, however your choice in words explains your perception of your customers much better than I (a customer of substandard intelligence) could ever hope to explain. read more

I rushed to this store from downtown Phoenix to do some apartment furniture shopping with my mom before they closed. The furniture is beautiful but the service was really lacking. We walked by the front counter several times while 3 employees were standing there talking amongst each other. Not once were we greeted or asked if we needed help. I have to at least give this place 1 star, but I guess they deserve it because they actually do have some nice looking pieces. I thought all potato barns were owned by the same people, but apparently they are independently owned? And this place we originally thought was their outlet is just a sister store that has their own pieces along with potato barn pieces. Anyhow, we were greeted by a very pretty and very pregnant girl. She obviously has no customer service skills though as I was greeted and immediately after, she told me all the clearance items were located in the back... wtf??? I chuckled, but ignored the comment and kept looking around the store. We asked about a particular piece they had in the clearance section (guess that's where we ended up lol) that was also at potato barn ray Rd, but the color was slightly different. The piece here was marked with an orange tag, which she said meant it was marked down and the price was already the discounted price. The one here, we thought, worked better, however, the price was the same. How is this piece at the "outlet"? The actual Potato barn on ray was having a red dot sale and the piece was $300 less expensive than at this location. She told us they wouldn't match the price because this piece was pristine. I told her so was the other piece. She says, "well buy the one you want" . I respond, "well of course we will because it's our money". then she starts to explain that they don't lower their prices, which I can understand if that's their policy, but you could see the confusion with a customer going from one location to an outlet location. She then proceeds to tell us that the owner doesn't care about selling the furniture, that she has stuff to pay for too. Seriously??! That's when I turned it all off and my husband and I left. She doesn't care??! I won't be back to this independently owned sister company. Customer service is everything!! Go to potato barn and see Nicki. If I could give less than one star I would. I had frequented this store several times and had purchased items. The staff was always friendly. Until I bought what I thought was a cardigan over my lunch hour, so I didn't try it on. Later that night I tried it on and could not figure it out for the life of me! It looked awful and I paid $125! I went back the next day to return it, in the original bag with tags on. The same gentleman that checked me out the day before was helping me again. He said they have a No Return policy and pointed to a sign behind him. While I understand not wanting to take back used items, etc., that is just plain ridiculous. He went and asked his wife who runs the store and she said no. He took my number down in case she changed her mind, but they never called. So now I have a $125 weird poncho concoction that I can't wear. No one said "All Sales are Final", which they should tell people because I don't know of any other retail store on earth that doesn't accept returns or exchanges when the tags are on. They would rather stick to a policy and lose a customer forever than be reasonable. I will NEVER go back there again. Buyer be ware! read more
