My friend Debi C got me hooked on this interior design shoppe a few years ago. This business offers different levels of interior design services but I have only visited their retail store. Furniture, decor, art, accessories, kitchen gadgets and linens are all beautifully curated. November and December are my favorite months to shop here when this store is decked out with fully decorated holiday trees, seasonal decor items and gift suggestions. The jewelry and crafts from local artists are terrific to browse through too. Unique soaps, candles and delicate string lights grab my attention and my wallet! On Nov 6th, they had their annual holiday night out. The first 100 guests were treated to a free ice cream topped churro and dirty sodas from food trucks outside the back of the store. Advertising, raffles and food samples must have worked due to how many more people I saw this year! I purchased forever candles, glittery winter evergreens and a few other goodies. It was such a fun night to eat and shop with friends on a cozy fall evening! read more

I live near the shop and stop by every so often. Even though it's not totally my vibe (a little too cutesy), I do find a few things every now and then. I don't know what it is, but I have never, ever been greeted as I enter even though there are always several employees there. The last time I was there (Dec 2025), there were 3 employees standing and talking by the front door and not one person said hi to me. Nobody ever asks if I need help either. If I leave without purchasing anything, nobody says goodbye. It's the strangest thing! I feel like I'm in high school again with the cliquey girls not giving me the time of day. Just noticed Carol asking for reviews on social media and decided it was time after my personal experience with her to share my thoughts. I paid for the 5 hour, 'designer for a day' and was beyond excited to greet Carol and Chelsea at my front door on Thursday, July 11, 2024 @ 9:30 AM. I have shopped Carol's store for years and have had the highest opinion of her skills, organization and ability to keep things fresh and updated in her popular store, Designer Blvd. Chelsea was absolutely darling and pleasant. Carol unfortunately was visibly irritated from the moment she walked into my home. After I saw her roll her eyes for the third time, offering next to no organized thought regarding my dated house she was ready to leave. I paid around $1200.00 for 5 hours of her time. She spent exactly 2:45 minutes + a 40 minute round trip drive (all freeway/202) so, for Carol, no problem taking $1200.00, acting noticeably bothered and taking my money for 'up to' 5 hours. I was shocked and so very disappointed when she left so quickly, having been no real help and clearly not interested. A year and a half later, I'm still not sure if it was me she didn't like, my house or my (less than) $500,000.00 budget. What I do know is it was immediately obvious she was completely disinterested. The single worst money I have ever spent. Maybe she should screen her clients better or learn how to fake kindness and interest when she feels none. Beyond unprofessional. Wouldn't it be wonderful if Carol apologized and cared enough to make this right? I'm not holding my breath. read more

I have adjusted my original 3 star rating based on that and my good experience at my most recent visit. I'll continue to update as I plan to frequent this business again. Original review: I've been in this store many times. It has great decor but is on the higher side of the price scale. You get what you pay for, I guess. My 3 stars is primarily based on the poor customer service I've received. I think I've only been greeted once, upon entry to the store. Just today I was looked at by 4 staff members and not one said hello or asked if I needed any help. The store is lovely, the employees are lovely and the owners are lovely. I recently purchased a couple of credenzas. One was slightly damaged once I took it out of the box at home. The owner personally reached out and took care of the problem without batting an eye. We live an hour away and I will say, I will gladly drive and continue to shop at this lovely store solely based on how they treat their customers. I am blown away and very impressed. This place has some really amazing knickknacks and home Decour stuff, of course at a premium. Much of the stuff you could find in TJMaxx. The reason anyone would want to go here is to look at their unique decorations which are mixed in with the TJMaxx stuff. However this place is hit or miss for customer service. I've been here several times with so kind and helpful associates however on two occasions I had the most abrupt, arrogant and unhelpful sales associates. I can't imagine running a business, because I have one, and have customer service mindset like this. I would never allow pretentious sales associates. All I wanted was help with doing a custom wreath The sad thing was I was willing to pay the money it was just the horrible sales associate. Awful! read more

No "hello" or "welcome" as you walk in the door, even though there is someone standing at the front counter. There are some really pretty things but hardly worth the price. There was a side door wide open, outside a small courtyard with a few tables with merchandise. I went out there and found 4 items I liked and planned on buying. An associate went out there and said "these items aren't for sale." That was it. She could have reworded and used a different tone. So she lost $200 on that sale from me. There was a sale on some items, but I was disappointed that there were no good sales on regular items, it being a few days after Black Friday. Found a few items I liked and spent close to $400 ( I am not sure why I even gave these people business) The lady at the front counter never said hello to me as I approached, I had to start the conversation. She was dry and lacking personality. I never even got all of my merchandise. She had my contact information, she could have called me to let me know she didn't put everything in my bag. Although they have beautiful things, both times I've stopped in, I've been looked at by sales people, but never greeted. I went in yesterday hoping to find something in particular...there were plenty of girls working, but not one person made eye contact or greeted me. I stopped by the register, and there were 4 workers having a conversation about their weekend plans, but no one looked up to help me, so I left. I was a regular weekly customer. I loved this store. I signed up on email and was going to all the blow out sales. I took my friends and family and told anyone who would listen about this store. So I decided to hire them to decorate my home. I had a duo come out who charged me $75.00 for a consult. After several weeks we still had no plan. They gave me homework to do. Declutter, remove fake plants, select photos, etc. After many missed connections I finally felt I waited long enough. Then it was 2 months later and still nothing. I had expected a meeting in store where they presented a design to me or ideas. But nothing. This was my first time hiring professional decorators and I was so excited to get my living room done. I asked for a refund. They refused. They in turn said they would not charge me for the time the put Into my design. I honestly think my budget was too small for them and feel they should have just told me that. If my project did not Interest them I could have saved the $75.00. I also said just give me a store credit since im in here everyweek. After that, the designer simply stopped responding to me. I unsubscribed from their emails and never was contacted regarding the experience. I did love the store. And they have beautiful fun items. Great Inspiration. However, I feel my situation should have been handled better. I still tell people about the store in a positive light. However I will not be returning anytime soon. read more

Really glad I found out about this place because it has made getting gifts for my wife so. much. easier. (let me redeem my man points here) It's like one of those places that every guy dreads going into because your wife or girlfriend will be there for no less than 2 hours because they HAVE TO look at EVERYTHING!!! (end man points rant) hahha. .. But in all seriousness this place is great for home furnishings & decor. My wife also likes the clothes they have for sell too. If you are looking for quality furniture & home decor this is the place to go. It is not the cheapest, but the quality makes up for that. You will not be replacing it every couple of years. I can't believe that this little gem was seconds from my house for a year and a half before I ever went there! For the past 6 months I've been hooked. Need a cute and special gift-check. I love this store! They have the cutest clothes and great customer service. I came in initially to buy a gift for a friend and fell in love with all of their home décor! I was a little hesitant hiring a designer because 1) I had a budget and 2) I had my own ideas about what I wanted. I didn't want a style that didn't fit my or my family's personality or needs. Carol and Mia were over the top amazing! They showed me how to get the most for my money but still have pieces that were WOW and they worked with furniture that I already had and wanted to keep. They went above and beyond accommodating my schedule (with a new baby at the time) and added every extra touch I imagined. They understood that I wanted my home to be not only amazing but functional and family friendly. They created an absolutely beautiful space that we loved! We ended up listing our house one year later and because it looked like a model home, (thanks to the amazing design team at Designer Blvd), it sold within three days. I have since had them decorate my new home and I am equally impressed. Before I begin, I want to say that I do love this store as far as the decor and products go. They always have cute things and it's a great place to visit when you are looking to find a special gift. That begin said, I have a real problem with their customer service. I've visited this store plenty of times and not once have I ever been greeted with a single, "Hello." After working in the service industry for many years I understand the importance of friendliness and greetings, which is why I always remember when an establishment lacks in this area. I LOVE Designer Boulevard. My sister introduced me to this store about 5 months ago and I am now hooked. Their home decor is wonderful and seems to be able to fit just about any decorating style. The boutique portion is very cute and usually has a good selection. The only reason I did not give DB 5 stars is because it seems to be a bit overpriced...however, that can be remedied if you are on their mailing list and notified of their weekend sales!
