Absolutely Exceptional Designer -- and an Even Better Human…read more I met Celia through Feathers Fine Furniture, and working with her has been one of the best decisions I've made for my home. Every single choice she's guided me through has turned out breathtakingly beautiful. She has an incredible eye for fabrics -- the pillows she designed and the chairs she reupholstered are truly out of this world. I get compliments on them constantly. Celia also helped me choose the colors and placement for my pendant lighting and gave me the brilliant idea to put a large mirror on a feature wall -- it looks fabulous and completely transformed the space. She advised me on artwork I discovered at the store, helping me understand how it would look in my home, and she thoughtfully guided placement of multiple pieces. She also picked out my coffee tables and a stunning rug -- pieces I absolutely love and likely would have overlooked without her vision. Her talent is undeniable. She notices things most people would miss, and everything she touches ends up feeling cohesive, elevated, and special. Beyond her design expertise, Celia is simply a wonderful person to her core. Kind, patient, genuine, and so easy to work with. I can't recommend her highly enough. If you're looking for someone who not only transforms spaces but makes the whole experience enjoyable, Celia is the one.

And they said they do not have a limit on the number of revisions but I have an email from them stating they usually only allow 3 revisions. They tried to fix this by allowing one more revision but if I had known that they had any kind of limit then I never would have booked with them. They also state in their response that I (the client) am responsible for making sure the items they suggest are quality before I order but then what's the point of hiring a designer? They are already supposed to do that kind of background work.

I loved that they truly captured her family's unique style and the house felt comfortable and true to them. Fast forward a few months, my husband and I just purchased a new home and were trying to blend our households. My furniture from my Bay Area condo looked like doll furniture in our space and I knew this was too big of a project for us to do on our own, we needed help. Cue Mackenzie and team! The process was incredibly easy: we met with the team, described our project and they went to town. They really took the time to understand my husband and I, our style and how to make our space both family (and cat) friendly. We had our sneak peek presentation and we were so excited what they came up with, it felt so US and fit our space. We couldn't wait to see how it all came together. When we had our final presentation we were blown away! The pieces that the team selected were amazing and would have taken us forever to find on our own. We got to see everything visually, were provided with a layout so we knew how to arrange everything, and got a shopping list. The team was available for questions and helped us out with substitutions if we needed to make them. We get compliments on our place ALL the time, its so different from what a lot of our neighbors/friends have in their homes because its so personal. I could not be happier with our experience using Scheme and the Mackenzie Collier Interiors team. I could not love our space any more, its simply beautiful and so us.

Wow! I don't know where to begin, because our experience was exceptional…read more My husband and I have been wanting to do a renovation on our kitchen for some time now. Casually, I submitted a project via Yelp to multiple contractors to shop around. After a swift response from Rosa, we set up an in-home consultation. Rosa and Erica brought samples based upon our initial conversation and were spot on with the look I was wanting. Their energy and general vibe sold us. Professional, friendly and genuine. Some days later, we signed a contract and the project began shortly thereafter. Being in the midst of a global pandemic, I was worried with how many people would be in and out of our home. Everyone wore masks, respected social distancing, and staggered scheduling to keep down how many workers were in our home at any given time. Both Rosa and Erica were super communicative throughout the entire process. Also, every single person on their team was so darn friendly and meticulous with their attention to detail. It truly was seamless and we are ecstatic. I think I may sleep in my kitchen tonight because I love it that much. Thank you to SpiceGirl Remodeling & Design for making our kitchen dreams come true. You will definitely be our 'go to' for any future projects. Thank you so much!!!

COVID had delayed things and we had to sort out some details on our end before making the final decision to start the project, but after doing so, we talked with them again to give the go-ahead to start. They were on board and were going to set up a follow up meeting since it had been a while since our first meeting. After hearing nothing from them for a few days, we sent them an email asking when we were going to meet. The response from them was basically a form email saying they were too busy, and good luck with our remodel. The problem here isn't that they were too busy. I understand that. It is this: First, we had already talked and pulled the trigger on starting the project. THEY had suggested we meet again to make everything fresh in everyone's minds. Then they went silent for a few days. Second, and the most disappointing is the way they handled their changing their minds. A blowoff email? We had already met each other, talked about ideas, and agreed on moving forward, and all we got was a generic form letter saying good luck. It's not as if we just sent them an inquiry after finding them on Yelp. There was already established communications. They had our phone numbers. They offered nothing in the way of potential future work, or suggestions. They didn't even give us the courtesy of a phone call explaining the situation or an apology for having to change their minds about taking the project. This was very unprofessional and rude. I had to call them back to get more clarity on what happened and why. Even after speaking them, it was clear that they had no idea how unprofessional and disappointing their actions were. It's shame because we probably would have liked their work. On the other hand, I don't like working with flakey inconsiderate people.
