It's been some time since I have used these services. But I remember great work done to repair a vintage guitar amplifier.

I learned to drum from my dad on his kit and I was finally ready to acquire my own. I was suggested…read moreby my extended family who have bought many many kits from Tim to check out his store. Tim was a data base of information and extremely helpful for me who had little knowledge of brand and quality for an affordable yet high quality kit. I was sold on a 5pc pdp concept. Along the way he let me know ways I could upgrade the kit to really make this thing sound good. I sprung for zidjian a custom and have never been so happy about springing for extra money then right there fabulous kit. Since then I go to his store 2 times a month roughly to build onto my setup and each time Tim is very helpful and patient with me as I ask him questions. I highly recommend any musician head down here before your generic music store.

His ultimate goal was to get the Zildjian New Beats Carter Beauford rocks. Little did he know that when he walked into this shop, they would have not only 1, but 2 used sets available! He was very pleased to be able to trade some unneeded cymbals and hardware towards the purchase. The shop is jam packed with guitars, drums, and equipment. We found out this store has been here 60 years, with the second generation of the same family owning it. I'm not sure which of the Kae brothers--Jason or Tim--helped us, but it was a pleasure doing business with him.

The extra one is for the good employess last year that really seemed to want to help. This review…read moreis for improvement, not degradation. I always get greeted at the Colorado Blvd. location and feel like a valued customer with someone always available for those pesky guitar and equipment questions there. Here, I wished they banned that damn front room where everyone seems to congregate at and get people on the floor engaging and making sales without pretension. If this was my business, everyone that walked into that store was a potential buyer adding to the bottom line even if it was a set of guitar picks! Sometimes you want to go to a brick and mortar store, bypassing all the online stuff and want to engage, learn and walk away that day with what you wanted. That is very important! It takes so many advertising dollars to get the customers in the door! Happy New Year Guitar Center!

Overall, this Guitar Center location is ok. This is coming from a drummer's perspective so keep…read morethat in mind. The drum room has a decent selection of equipment, sets, cymbals and stuff but it does feel a bit disorganized and doesn't have an isolated room for trying out an acoustic set which is unfortunate. The employees there also all seem disinterested in helping out/answering questions. They were all either on their phones, talking amongst each other, or just didn't seem like they wanted to be there.

We ordered and paid for a NEW guitar. The center sent us a…read morefloor model with scratches and dents and charged us full price. I would think this wouldn't be allowed. I spoke to the customer service at headquarters- who was amazing - and said they consider floor models to be new instruments despite all the hands that have handled it, scratched and dents. I originally gave this 1 star but I changed to 3 star because customer service fixed the issue. They sent us a brand new guitar from the warehouse just as we had asked for in the first place. Be aware if you order and it's back ordered or not in stock at the time, you might get a floor model. Except for the back and forth and the hassle of having to return the instrument, I would still shop here.

So many people enjoying music and playing instruments. The selection of guitars and amps was off the hook. Drums, sheet music, accessories and everything in between. They even have areas for instrument repair and music lessons. Everyone seemed like they were happy and really enjoying being in the store. It's clearly a place people like to hang out. A social center of sorts. I liked the fact they had armed security in the parking lot and inside the front door. There simply can't be too much security these days. The parking lot was simple and wee maintained. The staff was friendly bordering on perky. Thumbs up for Guitar Center.
